I hired Toan about 2 years before my wedding (crazy I know) back in Oct 2024 for my June 2026 wedding, and he was one of the first vendors I ever booked for my wedding! I actually just found him on Instagram and liked what I saw, and reached out to him to book. His pricing is very reasonable for his packages. Toan was amazing to work with! I had a huge Filipino wedding of 240 people (you can imagine this got chaotic for group photos), but Toan was great at moving people along while still staying personable and professional. Some of you may not know this, but I make a trip to the Bay Area approximately once a year. This year just happens to be on the weekend that Toan was having his white blossom special! If you haven't seen his previous work with the almond blossom, the photos are so beautiful and dreamy. It kind of looks like you're in the cold snow, but spring time style with white flower petals covering the ground instead. I originally booked for Sunday, but the weather was almost 20 degrees cooler with rain. Toan was so flexible when I wanted to move that date earlier to a Friday, in which it was 70 degrees out with radiant sunshine. We literally landed in San Jose that morning, and hustled our way to be ready for my impromptu maternity photoshoot by 1:00pm - all worth our efforts when you see the final results. It's easy to assume that Toan mainly does wedding and engagement photos. You would be surprised! He is such a pro at taking family/maternity photos. For those with a toddler who won't sit still, you know how difficult it is to capture anything. Let's just say Toan was very patient. It took a lot of work - music, running around, high-fives, and singing - to really even get some cooperation. We clearly overextended our session time. The turnaround time for the photos was so fast. We received all the processed/edited photos within 3 days. Since all the photos were stunning, it really was challenging to pick 10 for that special retouch/edit. Toan was so generous and even threw bonus photos for us. Let me tell you, there's a huge difference once the images go through that special retouch, so truly take the time to select your best/favorite ones. If you need an amazing photographer, Toan is you man! Me and my wife had Toan do our engagement photo session out in SF and on that day, he got a flat tire driving out there. He was quick to contact us to let us know he would be delayed and he was able to get his tire fixed and still make it to our session (only about 20 min late)! He then did our wedding day photos and he and his team are great! Me and my wife are not very natural in front of the camera...especially with posing. Booking Toan for my wedding was easily one of the best decisions that I have ever made in my life. If you are considering Toan for any type of photoshoot, stop your search and book him immediately. Trust me, you won't regret it. We booked him for our Dam Hoi, prewedding photo shoot, and wedding photoshoot. If you have traditional old Vietnamese parents/uncles/aunties that have tons of cultural expectations, but don't provide any instructions on how to do things traditionally like my wife and I, then you 100% need to book Toan. He is very knowledgeable about proper Vietnamese wedding customs and traditions. On top of that, he is very fluent in Viet. Toan was very polite yet stern with his instructions when it came to directing our giant family and teaching them how to smile/pose. This was very helpful as my family needed that firm hand in order to get the best pictures. Everybody was fascinated with his professionalism, respectful behavior and amazing pictures. A lot of my uncle/aunts demanded my younger cousins hire Toan for their future weddings. Toan is very professional and responds right away no matter the hour of the day. Although he told us that it can take up to 1-2 months to get our wedding photos, Toan managed to process 2600+ high quality photos in FOUR DAYS after our wedding. That was absolutely insane because we had some really anxious aunties after our wedding. All of our guests were super impressed to get their photos so quickly because some of our friends had to wait up to 6 months to get their wedding photos from other photographers. When you book Toan for a 12-hour wedding photoshoot, you really get him for the full 12 hours. Toan and his partner were all over the place taking our photos in 90+ degrees weather and never once dropped their camera to rest. As soon as we finished taking photos in one location of the venue, he immediately had 10 different ideas for more photos at another area. Prior to any photoshoot with Toan I always gave him a list of photos that I HAD TO HAVE (headshot of my grandma, specific balcony shots, ring bearer, romantic parent pictures and etc). Despite it being a very chaotic wedding with 200 guests demanding very specific photos, Toan managed to get me all of the specific photos that I requested. Highly highly recommend! Toan helped me capture a professional headshot for residency applications. Not only was he able to fit me into his schedule on short notice, but he also sent me the retouched photos the same day they were taken (for which I was very appreciative). When we first saw Toan's photos on his Instagram page, we knew that we wanted him as our wedding photographer. We had the pleasure and privilege to have Toan himself as our photographer at our wedding on August 7, 2021. He was absolutely amazing to work with! From the very beginning he was very thorough on how he works and he even helped us create a timeline for our wedding to help with the flow of our special day! He had so many genius tips that we didn't hear on the numerous YouTube videos for wedding planning lol. I don't remember what all the tips were, but i remember my husband and I being blown away because we just never heard anyone share them. We could tell that he had a lot of experience with weddings and photography and it made us feel very comfortable and made it easy to trust him and all of his suggestions. He was also very opened to hearing what our wishes were as well and captured the shots we wanted and more! I'm not comfortable taking photos, let alone know how to pose, but he was so great at guiding us in the process! He is very professional, friendly, patient and efficient with his work. Wedding planning is complicated and stressful as is, so to have a photographer who knows his craft and that you can trust will do an amazing job is PRICELESS. He worked very well with our videographers, which he happened to know, and with our wedding planners and wedding guests! Our wedding guests were very fond of him. My husband and I had an unexpected journey two days after we got married. I ended up going to the ER and was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid leukemia (60% blasts) which would've given me only a week to live if I waited any longer. Now that we are on the other side of that big mountain, we are able to look at our wedding photos that bring us so much joy as we relive our miracle wedding.
