A quaint store. Found 5 items and two were 50% off. The owner is amazing would definitely shop there again.

Zoe's store on 14th is a mish mash of everything, there is always a sidewalk display akin to a garage sale and this always seduces me. So today I decided to check it out. It has everything of course, clothing, shoes, kitchen appliances, jewellery, and knicky knackies but for such a small place I found everything surprisingly organised. This is a Thrift store folks don't expect anything less than junk and this and that but what I didn't expect were such high prices. Come on a jacket for $100 , you can pick one up at Divine down the street in better condition and at 75% lower in price. This wasn't even vintage and it wasn't even leather. The dishware was ridiculously expensive as well, Value Village has stuff below a buck that Zoe's was selling at 4 to 5, even Winners could beat the prices here, and it would be new and in better condition. Big no no Zoe. On the other side of the coin however was the furniture, now I saw a chrome table 50s go for 30 dollars then a 70s retro dining set at 60. I mean both would sell for well over 300 dollars in Vancouver or Toronto. So there is this huge imbalance in pricing. The women working there are extremely personable, I believe the owner or manager is from Russia and she is very friendly and sweet and the girl behind the counter is fun and attentive. So I guess shopping at Zoe's is the luck of the draw, I mean you can find what you are looking for, stock comes in daily but you may not want to pay for what you find or you may wonder why you paid so little. What absolutely floors me is that for a thrift shop they have this amazingly hip cool website up, where you can ask questions to Zoe and even find out what has come in and what collectibles they have. Hit up Zoe's during their 'brown bag sales'! All you can fit into a huge old-style brown bag for 10 buck! When looking for second-hand house/kitchen ware, with this sale, you can't go wrong! I've picked up 3 bags worth in the last year and a half, and haven't needed to buy anything anywhere else! It's also the kind of place that you can find great finds -- You've gotta really look, and best to pop in often to scope them out before they are gone! I once got a lightly worn portable BBQ from Zoe's for $10 ... we replaced a few parts and got it working (extra $25)... the same one is still in stores new for $180!! steel of a deal if u ask me! I stop by Zoe's about once a month to see what's new. I'm not sure why. I rarely buy anything. This place is stupid expensive and prices are going higher and higher every time I stop by. As an example... I was looking for a heavy glass bowl to use as a dog dish. I figured I could pick up something cheap. Wrong! The bowl was nothing special, not vintage, in fact it looked a lot like dollar store or Walmart quality, and was marked at $8!! Now I don't quibble about a few dollars here and there but if I am looking at $20+ used items at thrift or antique stores I expect to maybe bargain a little. Here, there is ZERO room for negotiation. The owner holds firm on the outrageous prices, even if you're looking to purchase numerous higher priced items. If you shop here you need to know your stuff around pricing or you could be thoroughly ripped off. Maybe some people have found a treasure or two here but not me. I'll continue to browse but, in the end, I probably won't pay what they want. read more

Zoes store on 14th is the best!! I love this store!! I go in at least once a week because their is always something new i want and always more coming in. Real prices, not crazy ones like in 'consignment' stores. I go there first for alot of my needs and wants now. I love the jewelry!! OH and my first bag sale! Everything you can fit in a good size brown paper bag for 15$? I'm soooo down, and they have them every month!! I am in love with my ceramic hippo salor figurine!!! read more

Great finds! Zoe is also so very kind and nice! I used to shop here often when I lived in the area and it was always a pleasant experience. The prices are fair, and sometimes you can ask to come up with a deal especially when buying multiple items! This is the advantage of going to Zoe's Store compared to the larger thrift chains. Also, Zoe's store is a local business that plays a role in adding charm, appeal, and character to the community. If you're on 17th Ave or by Sunalta station, it is always a good idea to walk over to Zoe's! I am not sure if she still has her mask collection, but that was a cool wall feature! My friend and I wanted to go look for some cool, chic anitquey stuff for her wedding this fall and she recommended Zoe's! Zoe's has a range of items from clothing to bedding to household appliance and books. This is a neat store with friendly staff. I know some people mention it's expensive, but honestly? It's better stuff than Value Village and others and it's better pricing as well. We luckily came on a weekend where they had 50% off most items and you could stuff a bag full of clothes and accessories for $20. $20 - no joke. I don't know how often they replenish their items, but I'm a fan. I can't wait to go back. Everything seemed to be in great condition as well. No tears or holes, nothing broken. I like it ! *1 MAN'S JUNK IS ANOTHER WOMAN'S TREASURE!* I am currently moving into my own place and searching for affordable furniture that's stylish and suits my basic needs. At first I visited Ikea, sure it's accessible and in my price bracket but choosing what I want then going through the warehouse to pick up my new bed frame felt like a hassle (especially putting it together). Something however was missing from my bed frame I soon realized I need personality and character that will go with everything else I own. If that makes any sense... it was missing a good story or some history. So shopping (more like hunting) around for my style came with a hefty price tag... but while on the bus coming home 1 day from a long work-shift and a lack of hope to my cause. The bus stopped right in front of Zoe's Store. There beckoning for my attention was 2 leather green stool chairs framed with metal and detailed lead flowers. I knew right than and there... GET OFF THE BUS.... The price $80's for both meant faith was finally on my side. I was astonished, too good to be true I thought... however since that day I always make a stop each week to check out the new features and furniture additions. Sometimes theirs a gem while other times it's just like any other thrift store (trying to sell you another persons junk). Zoe is friendly and took pride in her store she's never hesitant to help me or move large objects out of the way ...I managed to put the chairs on hold given I come back on the weekend (with receipt as proof of purchase) it seemed more than fair. When I came back she instantly remembered who I was. My mother who'd never visited the location fell in love with they quaint over packed store. She of coarse suffered from impulse buying a 70's wooden desk that had side drawers... however the top was chipped and drilled through (it was in need of repair) something we both were eager to take on as a side project. The cost was $30 for the desk and $5 for delivery. When Zoe got to my mothers house (to drop off the desk), she giggled because her Ex-hubby lived next door. Zoe was professional, helpful and easy to relate with. She made a profound impression on us, we chatted while she spent time admiring my mom's cat and telling us alittle about herself. This is a great little second hand shop on 14 St SW. I've been here at least three times and each time I've found something that suits exactly what I'm looking for at a great price. The first time I found a last minute blue dress on Halloween (part of my Rainbow Brite costume!) that's nice enough to be worn out for non-costuming purposes for $8, and the second time I needed a more cocktail style dress for the work Christmas party, and again found a great dress for $8. Last time I needed a belt and while the good belts weren't the right size for me, I was able to get two ordinary belts for $1 and $2 each (there was some sort of half price deal that day). They have a change room in there so that you can try things on, and they're always friendly and try to greet you as you walk in the door. I've never looked through their other sections in too much detail to see what their selection is like, but they have a fair amount of clothes and then some accessories like hats, shoes, clutches etc. Plus you can pay by cash or card which is super handy. read more

I love Zoe's!!! In fact, I went there yesterday and picked up a few hundred dollars worth of almost brand-new, mostly brand name clothing for $100. Cute little summer dresses, tanktops and a couple of pairs of pants. Zoe is super friendly and I appreciate the laidbackness of the shop. I found a couple of cute little tchotchkes for my apartment there before as well. If you have an hour to spend down on 17th, definitely pop into Zoe's for a look around! read more

This store used to be sooo good. If became very expensive within the last year for the selection they offer. Some prices are equal to what you can get new, in a perfect condition. If you don't mind paying twice to what it used to be, this store is okay. The owner is friendly. read more

A big thumbs up for the store! So adorable and trendy, decor is lovely. Clothing is consignment quality with lower prices. Priced a bit more than thrift store expectations but way under consignment prices and the quality is excellent. She also has some amazing antique selections including antique jewelry, furniture, home decor. I was visiting there from bc and the items i bought fell out of bag in her store . i phoned several times long distance and she said she would mail them i have yet to recieve these items and am tired of running up a long distance bill to get them .
