Specialties
Zoku Amsterdam is a hybrid of a home, an office, and a neighborhood hangout. We’re designed for people who live, work, and connect in the city: whether that’s for a few days or a few months.
Our spacious Lofts feel like real apartments (with kitchens, comfy beds, and room to work), while our Social Spaces are open to both guests and locals, bringing together coworking, food, events, and community under one roof.
What truly makes Zoku unique is the balance we strike: four-star hotel-level comfort with the freedom of an apartment, productivity without formality, and a strong focus on sustainability, well-being, and human connection. It’s a place where business travelers, creatives, locals, and neighbors naturally cross paths (and feel at home doing so).
History
Established in 2016.
Zoku was born from the belief that traditional hotel rooms no longer fit the way people live and work today. Business travel and short stays can feel lonely and repetitive, so our founders set out to reinvent the apartment hotel, creating a new category: a home-office hybrid.
To design it properly, we conducted over 150 interviews and built six different prototypes. The result is the award-winning Zoku Loft: a spacious micro-apartment designed for comfortable living and efficient working.
Unlike regular hotel rooms where the bed dominates the space, the Zoku Loft is centered around a large kitchen table, shifting the focus from sleeping to living, dining, and connecting. Sleep, work, dine, repeat: all from your own private Loft.
Together with our shared Social Spaces, events, and community programming, Zoku Amsterdam helps guests quickly feel at home, get rooted in the city, and connect with locals and like-minded people.
