Spiciest chai I've ever had. So good! And if you're looking for even more of a kick, try the Moroccan latte or coconut cayenne latte. Hubby got a cardamon latte are really enjoyed it. They also sell locally made goat milk soap. They share a space with Pomegranate books so take a browse through while you're waiting and buy some greeting cards or books!

If you're like me and two of your favorite things are good ol' fashioned books and coffee, Zola is the place for you. And let's talk about creativity: "Coconut Cayenne Cappuccino"? First off, great use of alliteration. :) Secondly, the drink smooths you out with its coconut sweetness and then gives you a kick with the pop of cayenne. Bravo!

Best coffee shop in Wilmington! I was hesitant to leave a review because I don't want this place to get too overcrowded ;) Quiet place to sit down and study, or read a book from the attached bookstore. The menu is unlike anything else, there's something for everybody. Their team makes a mean latte and they roast their own beans in house, which by the way are deliciously fresh. I only wish they stayed open longer!

First time here; love that they do their own roasting and the Kenyan I had today was luscious! Helpful folks there and the attached book shop provides plenty to do other than play with your smarter-than-me phones. Some yummie looking goodies offered as well; all-in-all a really good place that will get more of my business.

Tried this place because the menu looked super unique. Goats Milk Mocha- WOW. Tastes as good as it sounds. Super creamy! I can't wait to come back and try more of these unique drinks. If you are looking for a change of pace from your boring old "caramel latte" this is the place!!!

Interesting place, connected to a book store. Limited seating. The latte was different but was good. Wanted to check them out. Nice people

Their almond butter clove latte is pretty good, but I keep coming back to their Honey Cardamom latte, but with goat milk.

Photography by 3Spade7Star @3Spade7Star_photography…read moreJanuary 25, 2026 - Sunday Madame Meerkat's Cabinet of Curiousities is a delightful spooky & eclectic metaphysical shop to visit in Wilmington, North Carolina. I only had a hour in this store before it closed. Not enough time to see everything, yet I had a pleasant time browsing items in this store. The store has a skeleton in a chair greeting you at the entrance and a meerkat as its symbol & mascot. A meerkat is a mongoose from South Africa. The lady at the shop was very kind and gave me a sticker of the shop. I saw on the sticker a meerkat dressed in Victorian clothing. Inside the store is an enchanting tea & coffee bar. After scanning the teas offered in the store to drink today, I wish I had sampled the DRAGON'S HOARD, SMOKY BLACK TEA they had. It has a blend of Black Tea, Lapsang Soushong Tea, Cocoa Nib, Allspice, Cinnamon, Cloves, Carob, Calendula, Cornflower, and Safflower. Lapsang Soushong tea is my favorite tea and has a unique smoky flavor. Very difficult to find and only in specialty high end grocery stores or teahouse places. I purchased two dragon bloodstones for $3 each before the store closed. The store's highlights: A tea & coffee bar with unique tea blends and a sitting area to drink & converse. It was the first time I ever saw and found a bone throwing divination kit for purchase in a store. It had a scan code beside it to learn how to use the bone kit as well. They offered small kits for $9.99 and large kits with an instruction book for $39.99. If you want a ready made divination kit, these are ideal. Most of the items in the store had scan codes to link you with information of the merchandise being sold. The store has an assortment of occult jewelry with Lilith sigils and rare occult symbols. I never see this in a metaphysical store. The bookshelves area has a LBGQT & Sex Magic section. Wild! The sticker with a meerkat - a great idea to give to store patrons and definitely makes the shop visit memorable with this unique memento. Kind & helpful customer service Madame Meerkat's Cabinet of Curiousities is the place to see if you want to have a one of a kind experience in a metaphysical store.

They sell and make Snowshoe share teas which are fabulous. I had a summer solstice iced tea made fresh and it was absolutely delicious and so refreshing. I love being able to pick up a high quality tea like this at a local place. Their soaps are great and I enjoyed meeting Juniper who was working there. They have tons of incense, crystals, candles and so many "curiosities" that no one else in town has.

The chocolate shavings on top really put it over the edge for me and made it extra tasty. The girl behind the counter was so sweet and helpful as well, and had our drinks out pretty quickly. Maven takes a different approach to coffee, skipping the standard heavy syrup you find in most places and instead focusing on carefully crafted pieces of art. I would describe their style as a hybrid between the craftsmanship of fine dining, the flavor blending of craft cocktails, all wrapped up in an artistic display. The people working here are skilled and very friendly and happy to explain their menu My wife had the campfire latte, which was a gentle s'mores flavor with freshly crumbled graham cracker topping in a marshmallow they toasted right in front of you as a top. Most importantly, it was very coffee forward on flavor with very minimal but appropriate use of sweetening flavors. I had the chocolate cherry truffle latte, which was again very coffee forward with very subtle and perfectly balanced flavors. Most interestingly, the drinks were a very fair price, because with this level of artistry in presentation you'd expect it to be expensive. This was a great little stop on vacation, and if I was local I would come more often. They are definitely stepping out of the mold of the traditional mainstream coffee shop, And doing a great job.
