Spiciest chai I've ever had. So good! And if you're looking for even more of a kick, try the Moroccan latte or coconut cayenne latte. Hubby got a cardamon latte are really enjoyed it. They also sell locally made goat milk soap. They share a space with Pomegranate books so take a browse through while you're waiting and buy some greeting cards or books!

If you're like me and two of your favorite things are good ol' fashioned books and coffee, Zola is the place for you. And let's talk about creativity: "Coconut Cayenne Cappuccino"? First off, great use of alliteration. :) Secondly, the drink smooths you out with its coconut sweetness and then gives you a kick with the pop of cayenne. Bravo!

Best coffee shop in Wilmington! I was hesitant to leave a review because I don't want this place to get too overcrowded ;) Quiet place to sit down and study, or read a book from the attached bookstore. The menu is unlike anything else, there's something for everybody. Their team makes a mean latte and they roast their own beans in house, which by the way are deliciously fresh. I only wish they stayed open longer!

First time here; love that they do their own roasting and the Kenyan I had today was luscious! Helpful folks there and the attached book shop provides plenty to do other than play with your smarter-than-me phones. Some yummie looking goodies offered as well; all-in-all a really good place that will get more of my business.

Tried this place because the menu looked super unique. Goats Milk Mocha- WOW. Tastes as good as it sounds. Super creamy! I can't wait to come back and try more of these unique drinks. If you are looking for a change of pace from your boring old "caramel latte" this is the place!!!

Epic coffee shop/bookstore! Fantastic coffee that is all roasted onsite. Wonderful baristas and owner. Love the homemade chocolate for the Mochas!!

Their almond butter clove latte is pretty good, but I keep coming back to their Honey Cardamom latte, but with goat milk.

It makes you feel like you're in the middle of a mini jungle, but in a good way. Customer service was excellent! The barista greeted us all with a smile and was very patient as we ordered our drinks. The coffee was delightful, and they use homemade syrups, which is a big plus! I honestly cannot wait to come back and visit again. If you're in the area, please do yourself a favor and check this place out.

We ordered a cappuccino, a latte, a zucchini muffin, and a cheese biscuit. The bill came to $29, including a $5 tip. The cappuccino was tiny and tasted like lukewarm burnt dirt with a faint Starbucks aftertaste (I hate Starbucks). My wife said the latte was merely okay. The zucchini muffin and cheese biscuit were both terrible--almost certainly baked sometime last week. Even after we warmed them in the microwave, one bite was enough. Dry, stale, and with a flavor that's hard to describe without being unkind. The music was so loud at 7 a.m. on a holiday Monday that you had to shout at the baristas to be heard. And that "beautiful" outdoor area? Every seat and table was wet. Nothing had been wiped down. Hard to believe this place sits at 4.9 stars. I'm doing them a favor by giving them two. Just another mediocre Wilmington spot that's easy to skip next time.

The customer service is excellent and the baristas have gotten to know me and provide recommendations for new things to try based on what I have had in the past. The shakes, iced coffee, and lotus energy drinks are great. The shop provides seating outside and inside. There is one bathroom that is kept clean. Overall, the shop is very clean. Iced coffee and regular refills are $0.50. The baristas have made an effort for me to know their names, as well and many have helped create a great environment through great conversations. The only note, which many customers would likely agree, is that the aesthetically pleasing menu can be a bit overwhelming at first glance due to the many options. But, once you take it in, you can find what you are looking for to order. If you can't, the baristas will be happy to help make something that is amazing for you. There is also a roll the dice game that helps create a beverage for you, as well. All in all, Grinders is a great place to get caffeinated, socialize with others, and get work done.

My drink had to be remade twice, and instead of showing any sense of urgency, several employees were laughing and giggling while we waited, which came across as very unprofessional. I will say the person who took our order was nice and pleasant, and I appreciated that. Unfortunately, the overall service and coffee quality were not what I expected from a local coffee shop. There are definitely better coffee options in Wilmington.
