The staff is not knowledgeable about the reptiles , and I feel you should not sell them if you don't even have the means to take care of them. To rectify the situation staff kept saying they are completely 100% down for their animals. However , they made no effort to help this one. We will continue to treat this tortoise , and hopefully she pulls through . However save yourself the headache and DO NOT buy from petsmart. They don't know what they are doing !

We recently left our puppy here when we weren't able to take him with us on vacation. My wife, who still does Facebook (LOL), logged in daily to see videos and pix of the pack including our boy, so she and the kids (and me too, I guess) felt connected. When we got home and went to pick him up, he was happy to see all four of us, but he didn't want to leave...I guess dogs really are pack animals. We also utilize doggie daycare a couple time per week. As far as pet safety goes, and I might not have this exactly right, but I think the dogs are grouped by age and size. That is, the large breed puppies are kept together, and the small breed puppies are keep together. I am in the middle of my experience with Glass City K9. Maybe I should wait until the process is…read morefinished, but I've seen so much growth in both my pup AND myself so far that I feel compelled to comment right now. I did not choose a board and train because it was *kind of* out of my budget and I didn't think it was necessary; it would have been easier and I *could* have made it happen, but I chose not to. I chose the "silver plan." Essentially, the trainers train us, the owners, to train our own dogs. We are paying for them to pass on their expertise. Keep in mind that if, as an owner, one does not FOLLOW THROUGH with the plan as given by the trainers, the results will not be optimal. I am, by profession, a teacher. So when I am told to specifically follow a lesson plan with my dog every week, I follow the plan. Religiously. I have a husky. I'm told they don't like to listen. When I adopted her (rescue), she was pulling me so hard on the leash that I was falling over onto the pavement. She cause me to wreck a perfectly good pair of Silver jeans, and she tore my belly button piercing (it never healed... it hurt a LOT... I finally gave up and took it out). I was not a happy dog mom. I tried positive "treat training" and she learned every command quickly but would only comply if offered a treat. Well, by week three with GCK9, my girl was stopping at street intersections without being prompted. Why? Because I trained her to do so because I didn't want her to get smoked by a car. This wasn't even part of GCK9's lesson plans; I kinda just added it in because it naturally followed with what I was being told to train her to do. I LISTENED TO WHAT THE TRAINER SAID AND I DID EXACTLY THAT, then when it all worked and my girl was so proficient she was getting bored, I did some add ons. Folks, know this: YOU WILL GET OUT OF THIS PROGRAM NOT WHAT YOU PAID INTO IT, BUT WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT. As for the e-collar... if you're that worried about it, Google "shock collar vs e-collar" and start there. I can put my girl's e-collar in my hand at the level at which I typically train her (which is super low) and I can tell you this: My physical therapist has turned up the tens machine on me WAY higher than I've probably ever turned up the e-collar on my pup, and I wasn't wearing a double coat to buffer it... and I've never been hurt by a tens machine. At the current stage, I only need to actually use her e-collar about 50% of the time. She just knows what she is supposed to do, and she does it. At the end of the day, folks, so far I have to say that I believe that I have gotten more value out of this training than my pup has. Here is why: In a world where I have had to stop paying attention to the news because I feel as if everything has spun into such utter chaos that it has caused me to up my meds and increase the number of mental health therapy sessions I have every month (depression and generalized anxiety disorder), training my beautiful dog has given me a sense of purpose and made me feel as if there is something among the chaos that I can actually control. I now wish that I'd have trained a dog before I'd had human children, because it would have made me a more patient, loving, and firm disciplinarian. My 9-year-old son is benefitting because he is following my lead and also taking responsibility for our dog's training, which is teaching HIM to be a better human being. If you do it right, your dog won't be the only one to change in a positive way; YOU will as well. I promise you that if you approach Glass City K9 with the right intention, attitude, and work ethic, you will have zero regrets.

Perrysburg Animal Hospital -- The Clinic That Killed My Dog and Nearly Killed My Puppy…read more On April 24, 2025, my world shattered when I brought my 8-year-old licensed service dog, Ziba, to Perrysburg Animal Hospital. She had just turned 8 days prior. That morning, I expressed concern about her labored breathing and weakness. I provided a full summary of her history prior to the visit. Ziba was never examined by a veterinarian that day. No one put hands on her. I was told by a technician, not a doctor, that Ziba was "full of hemangiosarcoma" -- a devastating diagnosis presented to me with 100% certainty, despite the fact that no biopsy or definitive proof was ever provided. Because I was told they were absolutely sure she was filled with cancer, I had no reason to ask for specific diagnostics. I was devastated, grieving, and afraid -- and they never offered diagnostics. I never even spoke to a veterinarian. I trusted them, and I was led to believe I had no choice but to euthanize my dog right there and then. A technician -- not a doctor -- performed the euthanasia in an exam room. This was my licensed service dog, and they didn't even let a vet speak to me. They let a tech perform the euthanasia on a misdiagnosed, unexamined animal. I now know that the actual radiology report -- which I paid for to be read stat -- never said the word cancer. It only mentioned cardiomegaly and possible lung nodules, both of which were listed as suspicious, not definitive. The bloodwork, which I now have copies of, also showed none of the markers typically associated with cancer. But I am not a veterinarian. I had no way of knowing I was being misled. I trusted the clinic in my most vulnerable moment. I trusted them with my soul dog's life. And they killed her -- without a physical exam, without offering options, and without compassion. Weeks later, I learned the truth -- and I will live with that trauma for the rest of my life. But it didn't end there. On July 10, 2025, I brought in my new 5-month-old puppy, Vela, for urgent urinary symptoms. I was charged $75 for an emergency exam, and the doctor never touched her. No exam. No urinalysis. Just a guess and a 10-day round of antibiotics. A month later, she still had symptoms, and I returned begging for proper care. I was refused access to a doctor, even by phone -- after paying over $1500 to this clinic for my puppy alone. They nearly failed my puppy the same way they failed Ziba. This is why I started looking into how and why my dog Ziba was euthanized. I lost all trust. This is a clinic that: * Killed my service dog based on a technician's word and false certainty * Never offered diagnostics because they claimed to be 100% sure it was cancer * Allowed a technician, not a vet, to euthanize my licensed service dog * Failed to chart properly, gaslighted me repeatedly, and dismissed my grief * Charged me for a CT scan on my cat Roman that was never documented (the only refund I ever received) * Refused to examine my puppy, then nearly under-treated a growing infection * Banned me as a client after I began asking hard questions and demanding accountability Even after being shown the evidence, they deny all responsibility, showing no remorse, no accountability, and no interest in improving their care. Their final response was cold, defensive, and deeply disrespectful. They simply refunded one charge and terminated the relationship. This clinic is dangerous. Their communication is dismissive. Their recordkeeping is incomplete. Their technicians step far outside their scope. And if you challenge them, they will retaliate. I lost my heart dog because of this clinic. I nearly lost my new puppy. And I will never forgive them for what they've done. Do not take your animals to Perrysburg Animal Hospital. If I can prevent even one person from experiencing what I did, Ziba's death won't be in vain.
