The facility was built with dogs in mind...before it was A Walk In The Park, the building was the home of the Toledo Area Humane Society. The building is more than large enough, and the yard is even bigger. The staff is awesome...just plain awesome. You can tell that every single person working here really loves dogs, and the dogs, at least my dog, seems to love all of them. We recently left our puppy here when we weren't able to take him with us on vacation. My wife, who still does Facebook (LOL), logged in daily to see videos and pix of the pack including our boy, so she and the kids (and me too, I guess) felt connected. When we got home and went to pick him up, he was happy to see all four of us, but he didn't want to leave...I guess dogs really are pack animals. We also utilize doggie daycare a couple time per week. As far as pet safety goes, and I might not have this exactly right, but I think the dogs are grouped by age and size. That is, the large breed puppies are kept together, and the small breed puppies are keep together. The large breed adults are kept together...etc. In other words, you don't have to worry about your chihuahua pup getting eaten by a Doberman. Great business, and great location. Five stars.

I took my mini goldendoodle there for a cut and bath and showed the groomer a picture of what i wanted. My dog was completely shaved he looks like a rat, his belly was cut and bleeding afterwards and the leash I took him there with was completely destroyed. I called to speak to the groomer about the situation as none of it was brought to my attention at pickup. She denied everything and acted like she had no idea. When the owner Toni called me the next day she was extremely rude and wouldn't even let me talk. She just wanted to tell me how mean my dog was and tell me I needed to have him neutered. She never apologized for the incident or offered a solution to rectify my experience. I understand mistakes happen, but be upfront about it and if you own a business customer service should be a practiced skill. I've reported this business to the BBB Especially after having to take my dog to the vet to have his belly looked at to prevent infection which cost me even more money! i highly encourage anyone thinking about going here to think otherwise.

Neither location was convenient for me, but the service is so outstanding that I would follow them anywhere! First off, the groomers who work here are very gentle with my dog. They are aware that she is fragile and yet strong willed. They treat her with love and report any medical concerns they observe. I have peace of mind in dropping her off. They are also aware that I don't want to have her there longer than needed (because grooming is inherently stressful) and they communicate with me so that I'm aware of how busy they are on a given day so I can decide to bring my dog in earlier or later. It appears that Clarissa is in charge of overall management. She and all of the groomers are wonderful! Second, they do a great job of grooming my dog and always ask if I want them to do anything differently each time. I couldn't be happier with this business and highly recommend it. By the way, there is easy parking behind the building.

When I went in to pick him up, I asked how he was they said he was a hand full and they had to use two groomers on him so they would have to charge me more. They said every spot they touched, he squealed. They said if I bring him back and he behaves better it would be less. I paid 83.00 tip included. I can't imagine how our poor baby boy felt. The little guy is hard of hearing and his vision is bad.I feel bad just leaving him there. He was all curled in a ball in the cage and when I mentioned it she laughed and said he wore himself. Not only does the owner have a Persian herself but their whole team is wonderful to work with and my babies always look even more beautiful after their 10 week grooming. They asked that I hang around since it was here first time there. All in all, it took around two hours, so I got a chance to interact with the staff. They did a very thorough job on all of the animals. It's a bustling place and there seems to be a lot of regulars there. I feel like my dog doesn't get scared coming into this groomers, unlike some of the other groomers. Our dog is a very scared/timid dog, so that says a lot! The only bad is he has a lot of hair in his eyes when he's done. We have to use a wet paper towel to clean his eyes out after he gets groomed.

Several areas of her body have long pieces that weren't trimmed...including her face. Asked that she not be clipped so closely that she appears "pink", and she looks like she was shaved!! Nails only had very tips clipped (just to say they were trimmed, I suppose), but were left very, very long and curling. Ears full of hair, sections of hair still going up into her eyes...I could go on and on. And we actually PAID for what they call "grooming"!! To say we are dissatisfied is an understatement!! It was our first AND LAST time using this groomer. Praying her coat grows quickly so she can be groomed by someone that knows what a Bichon should look like!
