I hate leaving negative reviews, but this was the second time my cat's grooming appointment was canceled at the last minute. What made it especially frustrating is that I had already gone through the process of obtaining and administering prescription gabapentin for my cat in preparation for the appointment. I understand emergencies and unexpected situations happen, but repeated last-minute cancellations make it difficult to plan and create unnecessary stress for both pets and owners. Communication was polite, but reliability has been an issue. I hope scheduling and notification practices improve in the future. response to your response: I understand injuries and unexpected situations happen, and I wish your groomer a speedy recovery. My review was not meant to criticize the reason for the cancellation, but rather the inconvenience it caused. Service is good but cost is super high, even for a very small dog. Appointments are easy to get.

My cat was groomed by this groomer. I was told that during her grooming, she split her nails on the table because the table was sharp. The groomer put an antiseptic on her split nails, but an antiseptic does not affect pain, my cat was in significant pain from this groomer. She required prescription painkillers. My cat should never have gotten injured by this groomer's table. On top of my expenses for taking her to the vet, the groomer had the audacity to ask me for a tip when she injured my cat. Would not recommend. read more

I have a sixteen-year old toy poodle mix. I got her at four months from a no-kill shelter, when she was sick and falling apart, and took care of her. We've been besties ever since. Unfortunately, with age comes all sorts of changes, and for her, she's gotten more anxious. My family calls her my shadow, and you can imagine that getting groomed is not her favorite. Her last grooming was too long ago, and the person who did it said some really alarming things about my dog's behavior. That served to make both of us extremely anxious. Enter Zoomin Groomin. Initially, I didn't realize there were different trucks servicing different cities, and I struck up a conversation on Insta with a groomer who isn't in my city but clearly knew a LOT about old, anxious dogs like mine. After talking with that groomer, I decided to try my luck, and contacted Zoomin Groomin Norfolk. Well, this spry old girl did great...or a lot better than I was afraid she'd do! The groomer, Amber, displayed a demeanor that was calm, cool, and collected, and she did a terrific job on my pup. That in itself impressed me, but she also caught a couple of potentially concerning medical issues with my girl and let me know so I can address them ASAP. Yes, they're expensive. But I agree with what somebody else said--you get what you pay for here, and the peace of mind I have now is worth the price. I'm thrilled to have finally found a groomer I think we can build a relationship with, and I would highly recommend Zoomin Groomin and Amber to anyone needing to have their dog groomed. read more

Petsmart had marked my sweet Benji (Giant Schnoodle) a problem child. Polly showed up on the Zoomin Groomin truck and initially Benji was hesitant. She managed to cut and wash him in less than the 2 hours we expected. His hair was matted. Poor thing. I tried doing myself and it just made him look worse. Polly showed up and holy smokes. That girl is a blessing. Benji ran around the house so happy and excited to show everyone how handsome he was. Happy Boy! She also helped cut our London (cat) nails. The money is worth it! My fur babies have anxiety with getting hair cut but Polly made the whole process an easy one. Schedule that appointment today! You will not regret it. I also managed to cook dinner at the same time. Zoomin Groomin is comprised of the most compassionate and professional staff. All of the groomers have been incredibly kind and patient with our elderly dog. When we needed help giving our senior dog a bath on short notice, the owner, Korin, responded promptly and came to our rescue within 1.5 hours. In the past, we have encountered mobile groomers that do not accept large breeds, but that is not the case with Zoomin Groomin. They do a great job, and our Newfy loves them!
