This is where Dawn from All Fur the Luv of Paws came into the picture. After meeting her during the consultation, we felt very comfortable leaving our babies with her, which we did. She was very thorough and was also in constant contact with us during our vacation. One of our dogs is a picky eater and she went out of her way to try anything to make him eat. We are happy to announce that we did not come home to skin and bones this time around. Lastly, we have cameras in the house, but it was nice to get picture updates via text messages regarding whether they ate, about their walks, etc. We used to worry about our dogs when we would go on vacations, but not anymore. We will now use Dawn to watch our babies and would recommend her in a heartbeat.

We had a geriatric pet some years back, and they actually taught him (an old dog) a new trick while my wife and I were out of town. Now that I have retired from 22 years of active duty military service, I was blessed to be awarded a legitimate (lots of training, and from a good bloodline) Golden Retriever service dog. While she can legally go with me pretty much anywhere in the US, if my wife and I travel to remote locations (such as only accessible by small sea plane/helicopter) due to weight constraints and cabin size, we can't bring our "golden girl". Internationally, some countries don't recognize service dogs as well. So Dog Daze has us covered, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. The only downside is that if you do things last minute, you absolutely won't be able to use them as a resource, because responsible people, who love their dog more than you, planned ahead (sarcasm). On a serious note, plan early, but they can possibly accommodate emergency situations if it's not a busy holiday, especially if your pets shots/vaccines are already in their system. For active duty/veterans they offer 10% off. We really are fortunate to have DD as a Columbia resource, when immediate family or friends aren't able to.

They have lots of fenced in land and take the dogs out and let them run around while they supervise them. They also have a little house for the dogs in their backyard, with AC/heat, for the dogs to hang out in. They take in your dog like it is their own for the weekend. We have used Sammy's twice now and both times we come back to pick up our pup she is so happy and hanging out inside of their home. We drive 45 minutes out of our way to use Sammy's for our dog boarding and it's so worth it! You won't find anywhere better and you definitely can't beat the prices! Unfortunately I brought my dogs here to be boarded over the span of seven days. My dog, Wilson,…read morewears a prong collar when he is taken out. Anybody who works with dogs knows the first thing to be done before putting a dog in a kennel or a run is removing ALL collars, as they could potentially get stuck on something. Well, over the span of seven days, not a single employee at this facility removed Wilson's prong collar, resulting in serious infection and multiple holes in his neck. The emergency vet had to remove tissue that died, and he has to be taken daily to get new bandages and his wounds flushed. When I brought this to the manager's attention she said it was "an oversight". I'm just happy I wasn't gone for two weeks. If I was, I'm sure Wilson would be in their facility dying right now from infection flowing through his body.
