While in town we stopped in at Zorbaz for lunch, and although it was good, I have a few thoughts on this place. The pizza was great and even though the nachos had plenty of toppings on the top, but as we reached the bottom we were left with plain tortilla chips. The atmosphere is good and the walls are decorated nicely. The music is fitting to the environment and gives the feeling that you know the song - but not how or why you know it, with a few familiar songs, leaving you involuntary singing. I understand that it is a part of their aesthetic, but I find the replacement of every "s" on their menu with a "z" quite confusing at times. I had to re-read a few selections on the menu multiple times to understand what it meant. However the replacement of the "s" in every word leaves the name of this establishment into question. If every "s" is replaced with a "z" wouldn't that mean that the real name is Sorbas? What does Sorbas mean? When Googled you find that Sorbas is a place in Spain, so why did they name it after a place in Spain. Or did they just not completely think it through. read more

Zorbaz is a must stop whenever I'm in Detroit Lakes. The food is great, atmosphere is awesome, and the staff is extremely friendly!

Terrible food, 10 dollar beers. Yikes. We ordered a Zuper Zorbaz pizza that tasted frozen, spaghetti that even my kids wouldn't eat (heavy, heavy hand with the oregano), and beef tacos that were simply ground hamburger in a hard shell. Zorbaz is one of THEE best places to sit back enjoy some very good food, nice atmosphere. Zorbaz on the Lake is a hopping busy place, and for a more quieter mellow Zorbaz usually go over to Zorbaz by Nisswa all of the Zorbaz are awesome fun places and have great food. read more

We love the Macho Nacho's from Zorbaz, I love the pizzas, the beers are amazing. I like how they have a pop station where you can just refill at your convenience, and they have live music every now and then too. Great place for a night out! read more

Go to this place every time we are in DL in the summer, which is almost every weekend. It's awesome everything taste awesome. Have always had great service. The drinks are good but never the best I've had every time we r there it seems to be a bartender that doesn't have much experience but nothing that won't keep me from coming back for more. Food was good - pizza & enchiladas. Lot of beer choices(48 on tap) too. But no happy hour much unlike Lakeside 2 blocks down, and other Zorbaz I've been too. I still don't like the order at the bar concept. Inevitably servers get stiffed and bartenders get shorted as well. Hopefully managers make up for it. I really like to got to other Zorbaz. I was really hoping to go see how this was like, but I was not allowed in because as I was entering I was asked to step away from my friends and remove my sunglasses. I would understand their actions to keep a rowdy group to enter an establishment, but when our entire party entered without causing a commotion. It became more of a targeting situation. Where they didn't want certain type of group entering their restaurant. Having a group member that was singled out as a target for the entire group to leave. It was not a professional way to handle the situation. And just stating that the restaurant was a family establishment was not a just enough explanation to explain for their actions. I would like to think that the management would be better role models for their employees. However experiences that I have had, and the experiences of the people around me. I have not seen this exhibited by the management of this restaurant. read more

Thai pie is great, but be careful on the patio! A lot of the boards are rotted and the chairs are tipsy. Saw an older lady trip and fall out there today, it's a huge liability! read more

Zorbaz has a convenient location right next to lake. The pizza is good and they have some good specials on drinks. I also liked that they had a live band when I went. The only downside is it was really confusing when I first arrived as I had no idea you seat yourself. I had to wait in line at bar to check, so it would have been nice to have a sign at entrance. read more

This is the perfect place for young, active college-age type people. I'm probably past their target age group, but the food was AWESOME! They have pizza and Mexican food - we ordered Pregnant Burritos. It was pretty fast considering the place was completely full (during We Fest). You order at the bar, get your own pop and just leave when you're done. Easy Peasy. It is right on the lake. We are already planning to spend a day at the beach next year with lunch at Zorbaz when we come back. :) read more
