I'm actually shocked that the rating is so low on Yelp. This is located inside the Talpa food court on Buford. My co-worker and I went here for lunch. We typically go by it for the dollar taco special but after we had it, we admitted we'd been sleeping on this spot. Because it's the food court there is plenty of seating. Ordering is at the counter and they'll give you a device to buzz when it is ready. First off, their empanadas - they are arguably the best white empanadas we've had. The outside is crispy and the inside is white and fluffy. It's also well stuffed and comes with a delicious crema. Next, the item in the store name - the zuarepa. You're given probably half a pound of high quality skirt steak. There's that green cream, cotija, and it's amazing. This is the first time I felt like the monry I paid matched the worth of the arepa. You will need a fork to eat this and the small sidd of shoestring fries also help soak up the sauce. We will definitely be back and be trying other items. I really liked the service and overall place; very clean and bright. My bf and I we're both Venezuelans so we're familiar with the food. I was especially craving cachapas; if you like corn and cheese, you will love it. My bf was craving empanadas and tequeños and both were very delicious. The empanadas were warm and the fillings were cooked to perfection. On the other hand, the tequeños were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.. just great! Went last night after craving some Venezuelan food and the service is absolute trash. While ordering at the counter, I being Hispanic, in a Hispanic restaurant, be when ordering the Hispanic food with Hispanic names in Spanish... only to have the very Hispanic woman taking my order continue to repeat and ask me questions about my order in English. Mind you, that's no problem had I been speaking to her in English but considering I was speaking Spanish and she continued to reply in English not even knowing if I spoke English, extremely rude. And best part is she began speaking Spanish to her coworkers and the party after me. Don't get it ... I also asked if I can have lettuce added to my order and she replied with a quick "no". What meal can't you ever have any lettuce added to? There is no cooking of the lettuce or anything, simply throw it on top for all I care. It's not that much of a personalized request.... I came here about a week ago, met a friend of mine here. We were ordering in front cashier, cute girl who is taking our order, she didn't spoke much English, luckily my friend spoke Spanish to her. I was looking inside the kitchen, staff was not wearing protecting gear, watch them grab raw food with bare hand and chatting while they were preparing food in front of them. I was disgusted it, I decided not to order any food. I understand if your vaccinated, that's only apply for mask, not the gloves.
