    La Callejera burger with fries
    Robin G.

We decided to dine at this restaurant after it was named one of Yelp's 100 restaurants to try in 2021. I was familiar with the area so it was a no brainer. It's located in the food court of Plaza Las Americas shopping mall. As the name implies the mall is geared towards the Hispanic community and most everything is written and spoken in Spanish. We don't speak Spanish. So we found the menu translated into English online before we arrived and had just a few flubs getting our order completed. They're known for their burgers and we both got the La Callejera which came with a side of fries for $11.99. Calling it just a burger is an understatement. It comes with a beef patty, grilled chicken breast, smoked pork chop, bacon, fried egg and ham and everything else you would get on a burger! We also ordered tequenos - 4 cheese sticks wrapped in tequeno dough for $5.99 and the El Pepito which is a steak (or chicken) sandwich served on a hoagie roll with similar ingredients to the burger for $11.49. The order took about 15-20 minutes before it was ready. And while we waited we enjoyed a live mariachi band. I had high hopes for the food but unfortunately was disappointed. All the food including the 5 meats on the burger and the egg were over cooked. The burger was in need of some juiciness and/or a lot more sauce. The bread was crumbly and the fries mediocre. The only thing that was served hot were the tequenos. Definitely one and done. Probably for the best. My waistline couldn't handle too many visits.

I ordered Uber Eats from here tonight. I wanted the guava and cheese tequeños as well as the Nutella tequeños, but they only gave me regular cheese instead. I was disappointed that I wasn't contacted about it if they were sold out of the other kinds, but the tequeños were still yummy. I also asked for an arepa with shredded beef, avocado, and cheese. Instead of shredded beef, they gave me grilled beef. Even though it tasted good and had nice sauces on it, this error was also disappointing. Over all, I feel disappointed, not only because I spent a lot of money on this order and didn't get what i asked for, but because the reviews were so high and it didn't live up to my expectations. Part of me wants to say I will go with the other Venezuelan restaurants nearby because I've had better food from them, but the other part of me wants to give this place another chance. I am interested in trying this place again, maybe in person next time, to see if they can raise the score I gave, because I love Venezuelan food.

La Sabrosita Restaurant the house of the Venezuelan street food, Hotdogs and Burgers which is located in the Plaza Las Americas Mall food court. This mall used to be a Lowes warehouse, now turned into a beautiful Hispanic Mall. From the moment we stepped up to the register we can automatically tell this place is different. The owner of the place named Jonathan has greeted us and came around the front desk and started pointing at different things in the menu and started breaking everything down. The guy was super helpful and very nice. The presentation of the restaurant is super clean and presentable and I can say I will be back and recommend all my friends and family. They are open seven days a week 11 AM to 8 PM. The price is reasonable for the portion size it's the best yet. If you are here you should try there most famous burger La Callejera which is messy but yet very tasty and juicy. It's huge and plenty to be finished by one single person so I had a friend with me to share my burger. The Hamburger was loaded with beef patty, chicken breast, bacon, ham, fried egg, pineapple, potato sticks, cheese, onions, house sauce, lettuce and tomato. Also served with loaded fries. It all costs $10.99+tax, worth the price for the beast sized burger. If you consider yourselves a burger connoisseurs you should try this place. Excellent burgers, possibly one of the best I ever had. They do have several options for Vegetarians too like Corn Tostones, Cheese and Jalapeños Tequeños and Cheese & sweet plantain Tequeños.

La Sabrosita Restaurant is located at the food court of Plazas Las Americas in Lilburn. I was up for checking the food court out to eat and explore more Hispanic food options. We went straight to La Sabrosita Restaurant and ordered the Papas Locas. Papas Locas and loaded fries topped with melted cheese, garlic cilantro sauce, pico de gallo, and grilled bacon. My friend took the grilled bacon that was sprinkled on top. The fries are typical. However, it's the toppings that made it delicious. All of it complemented it well. Delicious. Waiting to try more dishes next time. 55/2020

I love their hot dogs! That's the main reason I go here. Not eating a ton of meat I'm glad they have the option to put corn with the cheese, sauces, potato stir. The combination of flavors is yummy. They also have burgers and some appetizers I want to try like the tostones.

I found this place on Groupon +. I had not heard of it so went on over when in the area. You cannot see it from Pleasant Hill. It is in a fairly new mini Mall Plaza Las Americas. It in itself is an interesting destination with many aisles of small Latino stores and businesses of all types with a food court in back where La Sabrosita is located. There are at least three food Vendors with Venezuelan colors. Since I selected the Groupon+ before coming I went for the largest, La Malandra. There is no way you can pick this up! Price $14.49. It has grilled sausage, smoked pork chop, queso de mano, 7 oz beef patty, grilled chicken breast, bacon, ham, fried egg, lettuce, tomato, onions, cheddar cheese, potato sticks, garlic cilantro sauce, mustard, pink sauce, served with a stick through all items to hold it together, with french fries on the side. Yeah, thats a lot! 2 people could share it since you cant pick it up anyway. If your one to like an oddity like this go for it! I think it is more like a one time amusement. I would not order it again. Some of the meats less than optimal. Maybe try one of their 4 top sellers marked with a star on the menu. I went on a Sunday evening which is often family night out. The food court was busy then. You can watch the kids play. Little kids were going around on these pay big stuffed motorized animals on wheels. Not cheap around a dollar a minute. If you go with others and they are not into the menu here they can choose one of the other vendors and share the same table.

This place is located in the food court inside the shopping plaza. I tried their La Sabrosona burger, fries, and churros. The burger is phenomenal!! I loved adding the sauces: pineapple, garlic, and flavored mayo (it's light pink color). The sauces are everything that add so much flavor to the burger. I even love mixing those three sauces to dip my fries in. Churros were so good and decadent. Fries were fresh cooked. I'll come back for sure. Great food.

    Pastalito...it was okay.

This burger is unbelievable. Don't worry about not being able to read the menu. They have a pamphlet that you can read! I got the $5.99 La Sencilla burger. Basic beef lettuce onion tomato. It has potato sticks and cheese in it and it is to die for!! The pastalitos were okay. We got the beef filling. 1 for $2.50 was pricey The churros were SOOOO GOOD!!!!!! Trust me! If you check in with yelp, they give you one!!!

I've driven by Plaza Las Americas many times on my way to Duluth to do Asian things. Located inside Plaza Las Americas, La Sabrosita has long been a fascination of mine. I finally stopped by for a visit after considering it for a very long time. Come here for the legendary La Callejera burger. The menu is in Spanish, and sometimes the employees don't speak much English. That is a-okay because food is a universal language. Plus, you can always hop on Google Translate. La Callejera consists of a burger patty, chicken, ham, bacon, fried egg, shoestring potatoes, special sauce, lettuce, tomato and cheese. For $10.99, with fries included, the price is reasonable enough. I also ordered a can of Frescolita for... more than I care to admit. What is Frescolita? It is apparently a Venezuelan red cream soda. The food took a minute to come out, and that was a very good thing. They definitely cook to order. Food is served with a smorgasbord of sauces. I loved dipping my fries in the white garlic sauce. Reference Sarah P's picture of the sauces for a description of each. I ate my burger fairly quickly and loved every bite. The flavors were distinguishable, yet they blended together perfectly. I really enjoyed the taste of Frescolita in spite of the fact that it costs more than a can of Monster. I will certainly return to La Sabrosita. I also look forward to exploring the other delightful restaurants in Plaza Las Americas. An elementary level of Spanglish is good enough to navigate La Sabrosita if Jonathan is not working, but come with Google Translate installed on your phone just in case.

I had never heard of a Venezuelan-style hamburger before now, but I'm so happy my little food world has expanded. I know, a burger topped with a beef patty, bacon, ham, a chicken breast, a fried egg, shoestring potatoes, cheese, onions, lettuce and tomatoes might sound unappealing to some and just plain crazy to others! However, despite being practically impossible to bite, the flavors were quite delicious together and well worth the visit. Arrechisimo! The name of the burger is the La Callejera (4.5 stars) | $10.99 It includes all three available meats: a well-seasoned beef patty, chicken breast & ham patty. They also have several other hamburguesas: The La Mixta ($9.99) which includes two meats, the La Hawaiana ($8.99) also includes a pina asada or the La Sabrosona ($7.99) both with only one meat. ALL specialty burgers have extra toppings like Huevo Frito (fried egg), Jamon (more ham), shoestring potatoes, Tocineta (bacon) and special sauces. Also, for the non-adventurous (boring) eater there is a regular burger with your choice of beef, ham or chicken as the meat for $5.99. I would be remised if I didn't point out that the meats are your choosing. You can choose all three different meats like I did or make it all of one meat (like a triple cheeseburger) or 2/1 combo such as two ham & one chicken with no beef. This makes it even more awesome on days you wanna switch it up. While the burgers are the main event, the fries are excellent on their own, especially when coupled with their garlic mayo or chipotle sauces. The menu is simple, yet it has great variety. Some of the other offerings include: Tostones Rellenos (stuffed plantain cups), Tequenos & Tequeyoyos (fried breaded cheese sticks), Chicken Tenders, Loaded Fries, Pastelitos (kinda like an empanada), Pepitos y Patacon (arepa and po' boy-like sandwiches), Perros Calientes (hot dogs), and Churros. FINAL THOUGHTS It is located in the food court of the new Plaza Las Americas, which was once a Lowe's home improvement store. It is a great environment for families since the dining area is open to all the restaurants and there is even a huge kids play area and arcade. Burger lovers all over Georgia and across the nation, add this place to your list of must try's!!! While other restaurants are trying to sell you tiny overpriced burgers, here is a place that gives you SO MUCH burger you practically hate yourself afterwards for stuffing your belly to the point of nearly exploding! LOL Easy one of the best burgers for the money in Atlanta. You've been notified. 2018/18

This was something we'd been meaning to try for months and finally went the other day. After all the mentions of the La Callejera burger we had to give it a go. What a meat overload in the absolute best way possible. Great customer service and sauces as well. Drenched everything in delicious garlic sauce & tartar sauce. Will definitely be back, but will probably go easy on my stomach and get something a bit less heavy.

I'm so glad this place is far from my house (1 hr to be exact) because we would be there everyday. "La Sabrosita" specializes in Venezuelan street food. I ate a hotdog and my husband a hamburger. No joke, we were saying yum after every bite. From the appetizers to dessert, everything was made to perfection. I cannot wait to go back. Make sure that when you go, you do on an empty stomach because the portions are huge. Give this place a try. It's one of the best Spanish food joints I've ever been to. The only thing you will regret is not coming here.

This is where you go to get authentic Venezuelan food . I devoured the delicious loaded fries & the loaded Venezuelan burger. That burger was loaded with pineapples, fried egg, & more. It's ginormous & beyond tasty. The el sabroson is also a must try. This hotdog is loaded to the max, beyond anything you've ever seen. . Lastly, we enjoyed that tostones Rellenos, truly makes for an amazing snack. Make the drive to this delicious spot. The owner is very friendly & made this an awesome experience.

We ordered two arepas (reina pepiada, carne) and two empanadas (cheese and chicken) and were given a buzzer to come back when they were done. The food was so delicious! I am still thinking about the arepa, the outside of the corn cake was so crispy and the inside was moist. The best part was the salsa de ajo, a white garlic sauce that the owner was nice enough to give me extra containers of. I also ordered Chicha, which the owner explained is a Venezuelan drink similar to horchata--it is definitely more the consistency of a milkshake and I was not expecting that, so keep this in mind if ordering for the first time! The location is in a mall food court, so there is a play area next to the food stall and lots of arcade games, plenty of things for kids of any age range. Pricing was great as well. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I am certain that we will be back, even if just for take-out.

I ordered a lot of different items from the menu, as I wasn't really sure which I would like. The portions are huge and very generous! The food is sooo good. My favorite is the arepas with shredded beef, cheese, black beans and sweet plantains. (Though all the things I tried were super good.) The restaurant is in the back of the mall at the food court. Try this place. Also the white cream sauce, is like a garlic sauce or something, it's super fire!!! Get an extra one of those if possible. The workers are also very nice and friendly. Everything served hot and fresh, you can't go wrong! I'm a picky, finicky eater...Please believe me. All my family and friends tell me I need to be a professional food critic. This food is worth it. Most places around just offer the mini sized ones, so when I came across Los Maracuchos online and saw the more standard sized ones, we set out for an adventure. Driving up, we were a bit confused. We didn't realize at first, but it's actually located inside the Wyndham Garden Hotel. We parked and stepped inside, and walked up to the hostess/waitress at the restaurant. She seated us and showed us where the QR code on the table was to view the menu. We already had an idea as to what we wanted, so we placed the order as soon as she came to check on us. She was very helpful, kind, and so lovely! To drink, I enjoyed a papelón con limón. It was very refreshing, especially on this hot summer day. To eat (because we knew we would want to take things home as well), we ordered 4 orders of tequeños (4 come in 1 order), 3 cheese empanadas, and 1 cheese cachapa. Everything was absolutely delicious! The tequeños were cheesy and exceeded our expectations! Of course the garlic sauce that came with it was divine. The empanadas were probably the crunchiest we've ever had--so great and flavorful! The cachapa was perfectly balanced with savory cheese, sweet corn cake, and tangy nata sauce. So, did we find the best tequeño in the area? YES!!! We will definitely be returning to try more things! Let me begin by the service - fantastic. Unsure of her name, but she was the only individual working there. When we arrived, the place was empty. The experience felt very personal, she would approach our table, give us suggestions on her favorites (which were spot on) and was just a joy to be around. As for food, we ordered 2 Mandocas (fried plantains w/brown sugar + cheese). Delicious! I ordered a veggie quesadilla which had french fries as an accompaniment. The quesadilla had unique additions you wouldn't normally find in other establishments such as zucchini, squash, corn, carrots, etc. It was delightful and much more filling than looks suggest. My girlfriend ordered the Arepitas - Two white corn patty stuffed with shredded chicken or pork, lettuce, 4 cheese, ketchup and home mayo. She enjoyed it and also said it was pretty filling. For drinks, I ordered venezuelan soda (Frescolita) which is essentially cream soda + bubblegum. Weird, I know but it's fantastic. My girlfriend ordered passionfruit juice which was very refreshing. Our total (pre-tip) ended up being around 33 dollars which is great. We recommend trying this place out in favour of other nearby Venezuelan restaurants in order to have a unique experience and great service.

Next time, I'd suggest notifying the customer and discussing options which is why I sadly docked off a star, but I'm still happy with my meal over all. Luckily, I like pico, all cheeses, and fried arepas too. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The chicken was juicy. The sauces were great. The tequeños were addictive. The tastes were incredible. The prices were fair. I'm excited to try the empanadas and cachapas next, and am looking forward to introducing my boyfriend to this place. He's Venezuelan and I'm sure he will love it too.

Right of the bat that is awsome. She made us feel at home right away. She was not a robot but rather chatting with us about our drive thanking us for coming by and talking with us like we where home. When we where ready she took our order never pushed us to order She let us take our time. Andrea is incredible!! Her customer service is really above and beyond what you would expect. She is the reason we go back!! Yes the food was awsome but its all about the service. Thank you Andrea for making us feel at home. This is something that needs to be recognized by the people in charge. We will be back. Like always the place is awsome great ambiance!!

I ordered a takeout dinner. The restaurant is one of several in the building on Buford Highway and…read morethe parking lot was nearly full. It was early so the dining room had only two or three occupied tables and no one at the bar in the back yet. I was greeted immediately and waited a short time for my order to be ready. All the way home I could smell delicious odors from the bag! I ordered Churrasco de Entrada which is grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and two sides. The steak was amazing! Tender, juicy, melted in my mouth. I had grilled vegetables and baked potato for sides. The vegetables were a mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, pea pods, carrots, and zucchini. They were cooked well and flavored with garlic. The foil packet of potatoes contained three small round potatoes also perfectly cooked through not seasoned at all. The meal came with three small dinner rolls and a few packets of butter. Everything was flavorful and delicious; garlic was quite strong though which I loved but might not be everyone's liking. I also ordered Alfajores from the bakery section for dessert. These are little sandwiches with soft shortbread cookies on the outside and soft dulce de leche and coconut filling between them. Four came in the box. This meal was at least two servings for me and it was a wonderful experience. I look forward to eating in the restaurant next time.
