After seeing Zuki Hana featured on THV11, we decided to give this newer Sherwood restaurant a try for lunch. First impressions were excellent. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was pleasant, and we were greeted and seated immediately. I ordered yellowtail and tuna nigiri, both of which were fresh and flavorful. While I've had sushi in larger markets that was a little better, the quality here was very good and the prices were fair. The real surprise was the Lemon Drop Roll. It featured cucumber, crab, tuna, and a creamy sauce, topped with impossibly thin slices of lemon. I never would have guessed lemon and sushi would pair so well, but the citrus added a bright, refreshing flavor that balanced everything perfectly. It was easily the highlight of the meal and something I'll order again. The yakisoba was also excellent and had great flavor. For two people with drinks, the bill came to about $65 including tip, which felt like a good value. The only things I'd suggest improving are the very bright afternoon sun coming through the front windows and the shaker-style soy sauce containers, which make it difficult to dispense the soy sauce compared to traditional pour bottles. Neither issue affected our enjoyment of the meal, and overall we had a very positive experience. We'll definitely be returning and look forward to trying more of the menu. read more

I love supporting local and had seen this restaurant recently take over the former Bennet's location (which we liked). I also love sushi and Asian cuisine. Looked at the website and read the reviews and saw that the menu online had some unique items that most sushi places do not have (see my pictures below). Got 3 different items: phoenix link is five meatball sized spiced tuna filling with thickly sliced white tuna piece on top with a slice of avocado and sriracha and jalapeño on each ball. I have never seen this approach before, It tastes good. I broke down the dish and had the tuna as sashimi and the tuna ball with rice. It could have been a meal in itself. Rock-n-roll: another interesting concept with this roll. Basically a rainbow wrapped in a cucumber skin instead of rice and seaweed. Not my favorite, had a part of it that was pretty fishy. If you are a veggy fan, you might like this one. Red dragon roll: my favorite! Eel was good, tempura crab in middle was tasty, a little on the compressed side, but good none the same. Had a pleasant experience overall--the sushi and main meal were enjoyable and well-prepared. One small issue I noticed was with the way some of the starter items were stored; the containers were stacked in a way that had the bottoms touching the food below, which made me hesitant to try them. The food itself was good, though the salads were pretty basic--just chopped greens with dressing and not much that set each one apart. The hibachi mix was tasty, but felt a bit overpriced for what you get. The restaurant appears to be newly opened, with a large menu (about nine pages) and a few items still marked out, which gave the impression they're still settling in. It feels like a rebrand of a previous spot, with an interesting take on Asian cuisine. Overall, I'd be willing to give them another try in a month or so once they've had time to refine things. read more

Pass on the Hibachi- This was the most plain, under-seasoned Hibachi meal I have ever had. Chicken was dry and no sauce or seasoning. Fried rice and vegetables looked pretty but lacked flavor.. Could use some garlic butter at a minimum. The sauces were a mustard based one and yum yum, but not traditional yum yum. Like a mix between sweet and sour and yum yum. I wasn't a fan, but then again I like traditional yum yum. Soup choices were Miso or Eggdrop. Salad was the traditional plain lettuce with dressing. Add the little crisps from the table appetizer and it improves the salad experience! Don't be fooled, the sauce in the basket that looks like duck sauce has a horseradish kick! I ended up dipping my no flavor chicken in it to make it have some flavor. Service was good. Eveyone was friendly. Bummer that food wasn't better read more

First time here for lunch. It's a quaint little place. The host was very nice. I got the chicken fried rice and husband got the Pad Thai. Both were very fresh, tasty, and large portions. Their yum yum sauce was VERY good. Will definitely be back to try other menu items. read more
