Was very dissatisfied with the food. The Vegetable LoMein was tasteless and the mushrooms they use are from a jar, which added greatly to how bland the food was. The fried rice was okay but i had them add extra egg and rather than stir frying the egg in with the rice they basically scrambled an egg and scattered it on top. The egg rolls were pretty good and they were the best thing we ordered. Too expensive considering we only had rice, noodles and egg rolls. Will not order from them again. read more

I was in the area visiting family and this restaurant came recommended for their Korean fare; after a few bites I could instantly see why. We ordered the bulgogi and the spicy pork and it came with lettuce and gochujang to eat traditional-style ssam, which was totally unexpected but definitely a hit! The cucumber kimchi was also so tasty -- after I had finished up with the lettuce I put the rice, bulgogi, and cucumber kimchi in a bowl and mixed it up bibimbap-style. Delicious! I was not sure what to expect in Cabot, but was pleasantly surprised to see two sushi restaurants. I settled on Naru, as it was on my route tonight. The service was ok, got my order and then waitstaff dropped off sushi and was never checked on again until my check came. Sushi portions on sushi sampler were great!! The Marilyn Monroe was ok, but I missed it had ponzu sauce on it so kinda killed flavor of the sushi. I though was very awkward they didn't have soy sauce bottles but rather packets of soy sauce, which was a bit inconvenient and I kept worrying a packet may drip on me as I opened. Thankfully it didn't. The hot and sour soup wasn't traditional, but was not bad. All in all, for landlocked Cabot, AR wasn't too bad. read more

I hadn't been in a year but Naru has really gone downhill. Ordered sushi and the rice was unseasoned, there was no nori wrap, and it was missing half of the ingredients. Very bland like BRAT diet bland. The egg drop soup was made with some cheap broth that only tasted of salt and metal. The dumplings I'm pretty sure are the frozen ones from Walmart that are pretty good but not what I expected from them. For the price I won't be back soon read more

Honestly, the only reason I'm giving two stars and not one was because the service was pretty good and that goes a long way in my book. Having said that the food imo was subpar. I ordered the hot and sour soup and a sushi roll called a "monkey brain". Although I can't prove it I'm pretty sure the soup was chicken broth with tobasco/hot sauce in it. Far from even the worst hot and sour soup I have gotten at a Chinese restaurant back home. There was no semblance of anything even close to a true hot and sour soup. The "monkey brain" was passable but I've had much better sushi. Maybe I've been spoiled but this was by far the most tasteless roll I've ever gotten which is kind of sad considering it had both eel sauce and spicy Mayo on it. Service was decent- nothing out of the standard: attentive and quick. Food; well to be honest, it was bland and in no other words-"not good". I have been to a few sushi restaurants here is Arkansas (many from where I moved from-Chicagoland) and this one was probably the worst in sense of taste. From my understanding, I try not to put the same standard of what I have had from past sushi restaurants as a standard here in Arkansas but I have never had sushi where I literally couldn't even continue eating it. In addition, I ordered lo mein and the noodles came out orange and literally tasted like straight sesame seed. I will never be coming back to this restaurant. Hopefully this review can help them reanalyze their menu and apply a better understanding of what Asian/Japanese cuisine consist of. read more

My favorites are definitely the Cucumber Kim Chi & the Crab Rangoon! The Cucumber Kim Chi is so fresh & flavorful. The Crab Rangoons are so big and creamy cheesy. It's nice to see that Japanese influence has made its way into Cabot! Update March 25, 2024: And another one bites the dust.. now listed on our places not to go. I don't know if the recent good reviews, are paid for, they are lucky, or just don't know what good quality food is.. but my experience is completely different.. Tuna Tartar was good, but small and was the highlight of the meal. Ordered General Tao's chicken and Sesame Chicken.... There was really no difference in flavor, sesame chicken had sesame seed, general Tao's had some chopped green onion. And the flavor was not general, or sesame, the flavor was more that of honey chicken where they forgot to add the honey... Little hard and dry too... I did a blind taste test with my wife, gave her a bite of each one, and literally could not tell the difference... Very very sad .. she actually thought the 1st bite was the wrong one, but on the 2nd bite thought I gave her another bite of the same one.... General Tao's is supposed to be slightly spicy, this was far too sweet to be called anything General Tao... It might pass as sesame chicken, but not when it's exactly the same as the General Tao with seeds just thrown on top.. The rice, well in not sure what all was wrong with this, no flavor, bland, not sure how they made it brown without adding flavor. Hard to describe, but definitely not worth eating... Update Jan 08, 2022: Last 2 times we went (to go) the tuna tartar (our favorite) wasn't up to par. It was missing avocado, and looked like a mess thrown in a box. Today, the tuna tartar was correct (portions are smaller), but the lady at the front was kinda rude. I came in and waited, she looked at me, and I started to talk; without a word, and without me finishing she just walked off... Original: It hurts not to leave 5 stars, this place has awesome food and service!!!!! The tuna tartar is phenomenal! Excellent seaweed salad, excellent miso soup, the best spring roll I've had in a long time. The roles that we tried you could tell we're fresh, and flavorful. The only reason I had to knock one star off, is because of the atmosphere. It's not as spaced and private as you would expect for a place that could be a date/fancy place. The decor is a little outdated and plain. Nothing wrong with it, just not five star. Five star food, and service; three star atmosphere. Just wasn't quite enough where I could put a five star. That being said I will return this place time and time again. The food is phenomenal. My restaurant interpretation of the 5 rating system (feel free to use): 1 = DUMP.... NEVER AGAIN I DON'T CARE IF IT IS FREE (wish there was a no star option). The food you would feed a prisoner, only if you didn't like them. 2 = Crap, fast food...... Only for If you are in a hurry, tight on $, and/or in a rush. (Think big chain places with $1 menu, not HORRIABLE, and sometimes a decent food comes out). 3 = Okay, worth going on a regular, but has room to improve (Think frequent work lunch spot, Rarely less than Okay, usually Good to really good food) 4 = Very good, favorite "common" places. Nothing EXCEPTIONAL. (Think casual date, Nicer Chain restaurants usually, occasional surprisingly good Fast food) 5 = Reserved for EXTREMELY high quality and/or Exceptional, and  Places that surprise me. (Think first date to impress, anniversary, special occasion) GREAT flavor, great food, ambiance, service, etc... I started using this because I don't like seeing standard restaurants with 5. If I see 5 I expect more than standard. read more

Placed a carry out order of steamed rice and 2 large Hibachi chicken. The chicken was very thinly sliced and cold.

The selection is great and 75 percent of the time the food is great. I think at some point about 6 months ago they may have gotten a new chef because the sushi is hit or miss now. But even at its worst it is the best in Cabot. read more

I had the general chicken w rice and my friend had hibachi steak. First of all these were kid size portions on both plates. Her hibachi was thin "steak" and about 7 tiny tiny pieces. It was charcoal steak you could tell. Def not ribeye or strip or even sirloin. My general chicken was bright Orange. I didn't eat it. Do not bring me a plate of something you have dyed orange. Idk why Asian restaurants are started to put food coloring in all their sauces like red and Orange but stop! The waitress which came off as the owner or manager was not nice. She looked like she hated her life. I asked for soy sauce and they brought me packets. $20 a plate and they brought me packets. The rice portion was extremely small. When you order hibachi the purpose of it is to get it grilled with a big portion of rice. There wasn't enough rice for a 5 year old. Wont be back. read more
