This place was amazing except for the lady working at the front desk who seemed annoyed by our sheer presence. I set up a meeting for a friend to meet their hero and get a few hats so he could wear his Zummos pride everywhere. Please understand how much it pains me to give this company such a LOW rating...since the company was bought out, they have replaced premium meats with lots of cereal and animal by products. I'm from Beaumont and I know from people who work there..they put EVERYTHING through the grinder...it's disgusting...I can't keep quiet and the ONLY WAY to get owners to pay attention is to not buy the crap... .it's not the same as it used to be if you just look at the sausage yourself and compare it to any other piece of sausage, you will see for yourself how spongy it is,,,it's such a shame the company used to be the BEST...greed...you should be ashamed of yourselves... read more

I must second J.E.'s review. At $8.69 or more a pop, I expect consistancy and quality no matter where I purchase the Zummo Party pack sausage. I have bought them at Foodtown, Walmart and Kroger here in Houston. The packages I bought at Foodtown ($8.69) and Walmart ($8.98) were horrible. They were both greasy, filler-filled messes! I paid $9.99 for a package at Kroger and they were perfect, nice and meaty with nary a filler! What's the deal Zummos? You only get quality if you pay more for it? Why isn't your product consistant no matter where I buy it? read more

I bought their regular Boudin ( pork, rice, etc) at Walmart, here in south Texas, a couple weeks ago. I didn't expect too much. To my surprise it was delicious. Just straight up good boudin. It tastes like they care about what they make. I've purchased about 10 pounds since then. Good job, Zummo. I wish Walmart sold the crawdad boudin, also, buy they do not. I'm visiting south Texas for a few months. I'll miss it when I go home next week. No boudin to be found in California. Guess I'll have to learn how to make it. read more
