On some Sundays in the year Tilo puts on a Piano Breakfast, this is a buffet at which he plays the piano and sings, it is always very popular the atmosphere in the Alban is relaxing and the drinks are of high standard. But the best of all is the home made Black Forest Gateau not to be missed. The area around the village is great for walking as the forest is just at the back door. We are regular visitors. The main course was "Zweibelrostbraten": a grilled and roasted filet covered with onions and roasted potatoes on the side. Cooked medium rare, it was lean, tender and delicious. We chose an American wine from California: Stimson Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 (€23). Very impressive clean taste, exceptionally smooth with lots of fruit right up front.
