I purchased an item 50% section and brought it back the next day with the recipe hoping to exchange it for something different. The manager, Laurie, said I could not return it because it was a sale item. No where on the receipt or the return policy states an item that is on sale could not be returned. I asked the manager who remembers me why they did not tell me it was not returnable. She said they forgot. Laurie stated I should have known from the 50% off tag that it was not returnable even thought it's not stated anywhere. I will not be shopping here anymore and would not recommend any of my friends on the East Bench to visit this store. read more

This was my first time to order helium balloons and I placed it a few days before our big event. My mother turned 100 years old and over 120 of her descendants would be present. I ordered three different colors of helium balloons with weights as centerpieces for 20 tables which totaled 60 balloons. When I picked them up, they were ready. They were brought to the counter and I grabbed two or three sets of balloons by the ribbons in one hand and the same in the other hand and asked if it was okay to carry several at a time. I was told Yes. That was the wrong answer! On the next trip I carried about four sets of balloons in each hand. My 12-passenger van had plenty of space to carry them all, but the problem is that all the ribbons became a huge tangled mess. When I arrived at the event we spent hours trying to untangle 60 balloons with their attached ribbons and they didn't look very pretty by the time we finished because we ended up cutting the ribbons and trying to tie them on the weights and there were stray ends of knots and ribbon ends everywhere. And of course a few balloons escaped and were irretrievable after floating to the high ceiling. read more

It's not a frequent stop of mine, but when the mood (or party) strikes, Zurchers is a one stop shop for everything you need. Decorations, party favors, etc. you'll find it all here. The store is cleanly organized by item type-and then within each group some are themed or color coordinated. I would strongly recommend going in to your shopping experience with colors or themes in mind, otherwise you're likely to get overwhelmed by the selection. I always like to give a suggestion of how things could be improved. While the inventory is massive and the layout is easy to follow, the store has a bit of a drab feeling. Last week I had to get ready for two teenager parties and needed to pick up balloons and other party items for a 16 and 18 year old. They have a huge balloon selection, so I picked up a small batch of plain balloons and a few custom birthday and numbered balloons. I can say all but a couple plain are starting to lose their air. This is over ten days later, so it's worth getting the extra filling for the helium. They have a lot of birthday items, but I was a little disappointed on the 16 year old items. There was a small section and it was targeting girls, boys still have a sweet 16 too. read more

Zurchers is the same kind of store as Party City, full of all the decor, dinnerware, trinkets, balloons, etc. for throwing a party of any kind. I came here a few times to get supplies for work and also for kid parties. I found great invitations, party favors, prizes and cute matchy paper/plastic themed dinnerware. The staff here is great and will help you out. The parking lot is small but I never had a problem finding a spot. read more

We've purchased the huge number balloons + regular balloons from here every year for my daughter's birthday. This year was not a good experience and may not go here next year. The huge number (1) that we needed in sparkly Mylar was literally the ONLY one out, and when I asked if they could check if more in the back, the employee said no because they were all up. Then, after choosing silver instead, we had to wait 25 minutes for them to blow them up, while some employees were standing around behind the counter. Third, I took the balloons out to our car for outside pics, and when I pulled them out one huge number balloon nearly flew to the sky because they DIDN'T TIE THE STRINGS THROUGH THE HOLES provided, they ONLY tied AROUND the base and they slipped right off!!! I had to re-tie all 4 of the large number balloons otherwise they would all have slipped off into the sky! Lastly, we got these balloons on Saturday (for pictures), and her birthday was Monday. The 5 regular balloons (which we saw they put in "hi-float" to supposedly make them last longer??) we bought were already lying on the floor by Sunday night!! And the large Mylar ones (which usually would stay full at least a week) one was half out of helium by Monday and looked horrible, and now 1 week later they are barely up! I think they are cutting corners and skunking everyone on helium. Will not buy there again. read more

Ordered 2 custom made posters, neither of them came out as planned because they "couldn't do the color they originally said they could do", and then proceeded to charge $10 for having the change the original design, which was their own fault (also, we are talking a simple flower that they originally came up with, and that they could do navy blue and sage green on the poster). Also, insisted that we had not paid for our posters (until we showed the receipt that we had). A week ago, went to exchange something and the girl was super nice and let us exchange it easily, today we go in to exchange and the girl says if we don't have a receipt she can't do anything - more just annoyed about the inconsistencies regarding their return policy. Their products that are not custom are good, but their employees are not friendly, and I would never do a poster there again. I wish Partyland on State Street in Orem was still opened because I would much rather go there. read more

Today I stopped at Zurchers, I had about 30 minutes before my daughter came home from school. Her birthday is tomorrow and I wanted to surprise her in the morning with balloons. I had a sleeping baby and my 3 year old with me. We quickly picked out the balloons and I went up to the register. There was 3 employees to the left of the doors hanging up items, a female employee filling balloons and another female employee helping another customer. I continued to have eye contact with the girl filling the balloons. I waited.. and waited .. and waited. No help. Finally the employee helping ring up a customer finished, then just walked away from the cash register. Confused I asked the girl filling balloons were the line was she said, "Right where you are." Then picked up the intercom and called for someone. Then I waited.. and waited.. again. No one.. Finally I walked up placed my balloons on the counter and walked out. Before I left, I let the three employees by the door know you guys have terrible customer service. I am not someone that always comes into Zurchers so I am sure I won't be missed but if there are 5 employees within 20 feet of me and no one decides to ring me up. You guys have a serious customer service issue, hopefully something that can be fixed. read more
