After losing my beloved esthetician after more than 15 years, I decided on Zuzanna's based upon location and most importantly, the reviews! After my experience with Zuzanna, I totally understand why this was a great choice. Making the appointment seemed a little labored.. I guess because of the hours, there is one girl manning the phones... and also, Zuzanna is pretty booked, but I'm glad one was accommodated. Parking lot is shared and a little tiny, but I believe there is on the street parking (on the side). Aesthetically pleasing and very clean inside..The only issue that I had and almost made me walk out was my beginning experience.. not really warm and fuzzy when I entered in for the first time. I was told that I really needed to make my appt right at 5:45, so I was shocked when I hadn't gotten seen until at least 30 mins later with no check in from the front... just when I was about to leave (had limited time to begin with), Zuzanna called me in.... from there my experience was on the up and up. Very professional, warm with just enough conversation, yet intensely thorough and in control of the process. It seemed as though I was in and out and she did a fabulous job! Both staff members and the receptionist are extremely friendly and catering to clients. I wish I liked this place since its so close and cheaper than Bliss where I usually go... Zuzanna was very nice and sweet. The place was clean but eeeekkkk she double dipped the waxing stick while she was doing my brazilian which is so unsanitary and totally grossed me out. It not only hurt like a #$7)*#$ during the process but she also took a precious layer of my skin off, OWW FU$#Q!! In another area she didn't take off all the wax so I was left with a bit of a sticky mess. I will admit she was very fast and had good technique but the type of wax makes a huge difference and that sticky green stuff she uses is not good, I much prefer the hard wax and technique used at Bliss, it's much less painful, and although its more expensive it's totally worth it. read more

This is by far the best place for waxing treatments in central new jersey. I wish I had found it sooner! Being relatively new to the Rutgers area, I suffered through a variety of different places. I discovered this place a couple of years ago and have been a loyal customer ever since. Zuzanna's is by far the cleanest waxing salon I've been to, and I've been to quite a few including overpriced fancy locations in NYC. I now live in Manhattan but still time all my waxing appts for when I come back to Jersey to visit family. Zuzanna is clean, quick, and makes you feel extremely comfortable during every appt. She is very friendly and kind. I have never had a less than wonderful experience here. Further, she has over 15 years waxing experience and her technique is highly skilled and sanitary. I have NEVER seen her double dip a stick. She keeps dozens of sticks at her side and throws EACH out after 1 dip. She is from Europe and it is extremely frowned upon to double dip there. read more

I went there for a quick wax because my usual girl was unavailable. Jeez, do I regret seeing Zuzanna! She didn't do a good job, missed bunch of hairs that needed to be plucked out. I went to this place for the first time about a month ago for a bikini wax and had an excellent experience. Zuzanna was as pleasant as could be, and extremely proficient. I liked that there was a private changing area and that she gave me very specific instructions on how to treat my ingrown hairs and help with any irritation. The room itself was very serene and had a lot of natural light, which is rare for a waxing area! She definitely put me in some strange, slightly uncomfortable positions but the result was less painful than a normal experience would be. Definitely the best wax I have received to date. Unfortunately, I probably won't be going back as the pricing was a bit too high for me. I was charged $50 for a bikini wax. (I went a little farther in than your basic but nothing close to being a full Brazilian). This price is just too high for a college student like me...especially when you add in a tip. read more

AMAZING! absolutely amazing. i had been going to Metropolis in Princeton for my brazillian waxes and i thought they were pretty good, but in comparison to Zuzanna's they tortured me; Zuzanna's was ten dollars cheaper, and three times faster. Zuzanna's lobby is very warm and intimate, and the receptionist was very friendly. the waxing room is as sterile as an operating room, and Zuzanna is unbelievably fast; she also used a Novicaine numbing cream and antiseptic. i swear, the whole procedure took under five minutes to get *everything* waxed off! i was in and out of there in fifteen minutes, including paying and the initial wait. if i could, i would give six stars! read more

Wax on, wax off. When the skill, speed and gracefulness of a kung fu master is demonstrated by an esthetician, I become a loyal disciple. A few years ago I was forced to look for a new esthetician. I dreaded the hassle of finding a good waxing salon; and perhaps this is the one instance when I somewhat resented being a woman! Why? Consider these facts: strange person, strange room, and me -- baring it all. Doesn't that sound like an anxiety dream or a recurring nightmare, except the "pinch" (or intense pain) fails to wake you up??? Thankfully, my experience with Zuzanna was far from a nightmare and more like a wonderful dream. That's right, ladies, waxing and dream in the same review! I love Zuzanna. She is professional, friendly, adept, and conversational without being annoying. She is thorough, fast and magically keeps the pain level at a minimum. Just went there today to get my eye lashes tinted. What a great experience. I have had it done once before at a different salon and what a disaster (ended up with burning and an eye infection). Naturally I was a little hesitant but decided to give Zuzanna's a try. She took her time with me and explained every step she did. My eyes did not burn or anything and they look great. Zuzanna saw that I had some acne scaring and asked if she could apply a special lotion to my face which I agreed. Both my lashes and face received great treatment. Will be back! read more
