I had a bad experience at a place I had been going to for years and she decided not to go back as well. Estefany was recommended to her and not only did she have a great experience her nails came out beautiful,shaped to perfection and I made an appt on the spot I don't really do designs but I'm very particular about polishing and shaping,I must say she did great and I even showed her the color I want on a picture and she matched it perfectly.I also had a pedicure done and it was great. I can only comment on eyebrow waxing. Decided at last minute to get my eyebrows done and needed a new place to go to since my regular place is out of business. My daughter used to get her nails done here. So I have them a shot. I had to wait a few minutes for the wax to warm up, which wasn't a big deal. went to Gratify U Nails today and have to say the ugly reviews are most likely just from Karens. One is legit complaining about being charged for removing gel polish which is a given at every nail salon in NY and NJ. Anyway, I'm a NY girl who moved to NJ not too long ago. NJ I found is a place with a chop shop around every corner. I also have a lot of knowledge about acrylic and hard gel nails. I've been around the block and a lot of nail salons skip the steps that make your nails not only look good out the door but remaining on your hands for weeks and remaining healthy. I went to Esteffany because her Instagram page really showed her level of skill and education. This girl really blew me out the water today with her attention to detail. Like really. The time she spent perfecting every step from pushing back and cutting my cuticles (a step so many miss) to shaping to polishing... so so meticulous. My pedicure from Esteffany was also fabulous. Nice massage chairs and again, it's just the details. No polish flooding. Just really perfectly painted and shaped nails. She's honestly a gem tech. So rare to find one of these techs anywhere. I definitely plan to go to her from now on. I can't say enough good things about the shop too. There was no rushing to the next customer. I didn't ever feel like another dollar bill when I came in. I can see it was just honest hard work coming from in here with the amount of time they give each client. And oh yes they use great products like Young Nails so it's a legit place. I think this place is good if you want to get some acrylic extensions for your hands, but me and my friend had a bad experience here with out pedicures. The people were nice - they weren't rude or anything. But it was just really bad quality pedicures. Lulu did my pedicure and I received the "Deluxe" pedicure which is supposed to include an oil massage to finish as their description states on their wall. My friend next to me got the standard/regular pedicure (shorter lotion massage) with Luz. However, aside from the callus treatment that also comes with the Deluxe pedicure, we received the same procedure and I did not see any oils be used for my massage. My massage was just as short as the regular pedicure and was with lotion. But what really makes me upset is that the final product looks worse than what I could do at home. My right pinky toe is a triangle. My toenails are jagged. And she kept putting the gel lamp carelessly ON my toenails instead of over them. So i am also left with an uneven layer. I am not really sure how my friends pedi looks because I did not check hers, but I would not be coming back again. It was an unfortunate experience. read more

Eventually, another manicurist fixed it after I complained and my daughter got the nails exactly like the picture. It's sad because I really wanted to support this local business and had it been a good experience as we were hoping for, they would have gained at least 7 more clients, but oh well! Response from the owner: Thanks for the support, but people that were on that shop that date knows what really happen . When you came in we did asked for you to look at the color samples and pick one , so sorry we did not have the color she wanted. If she only had pick the regular polish since the begining we all had had been happy including our clients there waiting for their service when we got behind schedule pleasing you.Square shape nails are not the same as coffin nails her picture was navy square nails .The funny thing when she came to us before with her boyfriend she was very mature an nice , no problem picking a color !!! She had a picture to be replicated and you did have the actual color. She never asked for gel and the regular color was fine. The manicurist had the responsibility to communicate with the client, especially a minor, if they couldn't give her what she wanted, then what other options were there for her. The other manicurist fixed it and did exactly what she wanted and that should have been the end of it, but your attitude and the fact that you kept speaking Spanish about her to the others blaming her for the end result was VERY wrong. Unfortunately for you, we also speak Spanish and she understood exactly what you were saying about her. You made her feel so uncomfortable and ruined a special moment for us. read more

NEVER GOING BACK HERE. Gave this salon another chance after the last mess-up. Wrong decision. First, the owner wanted to know what I use for the horrible rash on my face (like I needed to have it publicly pointed out, reminded of my chronic illnesses that cause it, and completely humiliated). Then the tech that I had RUINED my nails. Did everything exactly OPPOSITE of what I requested ( keep the length? Yes...she filed them down. Rounded tip? Yes...she squared them off.) Forget my cuticles. A feather would have pushed them back better. I had been seriously looking forward to having my nails done, for as i told my daughter only a few minutes prior, my nails are the one thing in my declining body that I can be proud of. ZipI told the owner, there was NO offer of restitution whatsoever. In fact, I paid to have my polish removed and a lousy filing. I'm done. Rather do them myself. Note from today, two days later: as I told the owner would happen, 3 nails have split horizonally, 2 nails have chipped. So much for having nice nails for a small trip later this month. I had been coming to Ten and Ten for years and was surprised to see new owners. Thankfully everything is pretty much the same. The salon is clean, staff is friendly and they do a great job. I like that they use new tools and a protective cover for each pedicure. They had no problem using my own polish. read more

I've tried pedicures at other salons, but they never live up to Gratify U Nails Spa. I now travel 50 minutes to Gratify U Nails Spa for my mani/pedi/waxing needs. Okay place. I must have had a newer girl because she took an hour and twenty minutes to do a hard gel refill, without any nail polish or gel color, just applying the hard gel and filing. Other places I've gone have taken only an hour for a refill and gel nail polish. The other nail techs seemed to be working faster. She also left my nails roughed up at the edge and failed to file them properly to smooth it out. I won't be returning, but I would recommend one of the older girls to do your nails. read more

Found this cute little salon on yelp since it's pretty close to our new place I thought I'd give it a try despite only 4 reviews which were all good. I'm so glad I came! Luce was the one who gave me a phenomenal pedicure while I sat in a massage chair and got a back massage at the same time! This will be my new go to place for manis ans pedis.
