I have been going to the Salon for about a year for hair, nails and color. I never had a brazilian with them up until last night. Marcia was amazing! She is so thorough and knows exactly what kind of waxes to use in different areas. She was very calm.She is sweet professional and eased me in every way. She made me feel comfortable and gave me great tips for ingrowns and aftercare. She WAS AMAZING. The salon is very CLEAN and all materials used were disposable. I first went to Jaira's for leg waxing and after a few months got the nerve to try my first Brazilian wax. Suprisingly, it wasn't as bad as I had imagine or heard and loved the clean feeling of having it done. So I have been going back to Jaira's ever since. Marcia was great for a first timer for making me feel at ease and I have been going ever since. Jaira's brazilian wax is as painless as you can get! My daughter and I love coming here once a month for our waxing. As a family run business by Jaira with her daughter's there to assist, it has a very welcoming homey feel to it. Really cute, professional, clean salon. I went to the one in South River, where Marcy (sp?) did my Brazilian. She was efficient, friendly, and professional. She was thorough, following up with a tweezer on any missed areas. I recommend Jaira's for waxing! The girls who did my mani/pedi are also very friendly and efficient. They even sang me happy birthday in english, spanish, and portuguese when they found out I came in for my birthday! Jaira's daughters are incredibly helpful and friendly, offering me coffee, white wine, crackers with cheese and salami. They made me feel so pampered and welcomed as a customer! I've been many times to Jaira's on rt 9 in south amboy/sayreville and have always had a great experience. My brazililan is always quick, thorough and as painless as possible. If there are any hairs missed she plucks them at the end. I've always had the same waxer and I can't complain at all. I absolutely love them and highly recommend this location! I've been to European wax center and although a smidge cheaper, I was not pleased and won't go again. The woman who did my brazilian was nice and helped me relax but not as professional as I expected. She left little blue wax pieces all over me and the wax was a little too hot. Jaira's salon is the only place I will go for my brazilian wax! I have been getting my wax done here for over a year. Prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and accommodating, the salon is always clean and upon arriving I never have to wait long to be seen. I am at the salon once a month. Maria does my wax and she is amazing! Don't be fooled by the near by European wax, they are terrible. The girl doing my wax could not stop complaining about her job, waxing. I am relatively new to waxing and didn't know what to expect, but my experience at Jaira's has been great so far. The first time it was an interesting phenomenon, but having gotten through three sessions, it becomes easier and less stressful each time. My attendant, Karina, is just great. She made me feel very comfortable and is very pleasant. Now that I have been spoiled with "Brazilian waxing", there is just no way to go back to anything else. I have been to many wax salons and I like Jaira's wax salon the best. I am a big woman and they are very professional when it comes to waxing someone my size. I have been to other salons where they seem to be uncomfortable with my size, here they seem to be very professional about it and do an amazing job! I have very sensitive skin, so they take special care of me and make sure that I am comfortable and the job is done correctly. I just left the salon and wanted to share my experience. Firstly, the receptionist was super welcoming and accommodating to my schedule. Secondly the wax room was SUPER clean with sterile tools and there was no double stick dipping! The owner, Jaira, waxed me and I have NEVER had such a pleasant experience. She was very social and made the process sooo much better. And she didn't leave a single hair behind! This was my first time having a brazillian wax or any wax beside eye brows for that matter. I went to Jaira's on a friends recommendation and It was awesome. Karina explained the proccess and it did not take ling for me to feel comfortable and no longer self conscientiousness.
