I received an over the phone diagnosis prior to entering his shop, albeit it was pretty simple (I needed a windows reinstall) He promised three day turnaround and it was true. He promised update calls and it was true. The value of the service was better than any corporation and the discounts he applies are very appreciative. If my computer becomes compromised or damaged I will always return to him.

Most places will simply tell you that they can fix any problem you have and just bring your PC to them. So after more research I was able to recover data from my PC much to my relief, even though it still doesn't boot up properly. I spoke with Jim again today and explained what I'd done. He advised me that my options were to either buy a new PC or spend $175 to reinstall Windows. Considering my PC is 9 years old, I'll opt to buy a new one. And the best part of the whole experience was that Jim actually gave me some advice on what to look for in a new PC. Even though I never had Jim fix my PC, I'm really glad that I spoke with him. He's a class act and I appreciate him taking time to help me even though he wasn't getting paid. Needless to say if I ever have PC issues in the future I'll call Jim.

I do not question a service call costing 65 dollars; I believe, after reviewing other companies that the cost of a service call and travel is very reasonable for at home service. What I question is if a computer is absolutely shot, so old and out of date that it is not wise to have it "fixed", might Beck's Techs have provided a new computer/laptop for the total cost of $795.00 back in 2022. That is the kind of work James Beck's company has always done for me and my husband. This company provides honest service, provides quality parts or replacements and does an excellent job for their customers. They are a local company who will make sure your computer system is up and running correctly and advise you when you have a problem. If problems are severe, they will return your call and come back to your home office/business when necessary. Work done for us over the years: clean up a desktop, new laptops when necessary due to age of desktops, hook up an older large monitor to a new laptop so work can be done that requires using two screens simultaneously when necessary, and cleaning up help or explanation with files when needed. We trust Beck's Techs with all IT problems and have even given him remote access when needed for fast fixes! We could not expect any better service or equipment from Beck's Techs for the money we have paid over many, many years. Owner is definitely an expert in the field of computer/IT systems, cyber security, etc.
