Terrible Experience and Poor Customer Service I ordered blinds from this company in September, and they were installed in October. A few of the blinds were damaged, and the layout wasn't correct. I contacted customer service, and they scheduled an appointment to fix the issue. During that time, I also purchased another blind on October 23, 2025, which was missing from my original order. I was told once that blind came in, they would install it and make all necessary corrections. I received an installation date of November 4, 2025, but the company doesn't give you an exact time--you have to wait until the same day for them to tell you when they're coming. When the installer arrived, he only had repair pieces and said the new blind wasn't on the truck. I immediately tried to call the company, but no one answered. On November 10, I spoke with another representative who said they needed to "investigate" because they believed the blind was on the truck. When I asked for a follow-up time, she refused to provide one and just said she'd call back the next day. No one ever called back. I called again on November 12 around 3 PM and got the same runaround--someone would "call me back." When I asked to speak with a manager, the rep refused and said the manager will call me back. I asked for the manager's name she said Tammy, then hung up on me. I've spent over $1,500 with this company, and I still don't have the blind I paid for. The lack of professionalism, urgency, and basic respect for customers is unbelievable. I've asked for a refund, and nothing has been processed. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The gentleman who installed my shades,, left one side crooked and had to be called back out for another visit to fix it. I also don't like the way the blinds are made. If I had known that these zebra shades would not come all the way together I would not order them for my picture window. I have one larger shade in the middle and two small smaller shades on either side, but there's about an inch gap between each side shades and the middle shade, which lets the sun in. I know they were custom-made so I didn't say anything because they are the blinds I ordered, I just wish the sales person would've been more knowledgeable and told me how this was going to end up. I paid a lot of money for these shades, and I'm not really happy with them, but just have to live with them. Another thing,, the middle shade is already seeming to have a problem when I bring it up it kind of gathers. I sure hope he just doesn't stop working after a short period of time, and I hope there's a warranty on it because it doesn't seem like it's last very long! read more

I found 1800 4 blinds online. We had tons of quotes that were much more expensive, but when Jeff came in to do my estimate, I knew he was genuine and honest. We scheduled soon after our first meeting and they were prompt. I've had so many issues with other companies being delayed due to Covid manufacturing issues which I thought would affect the actual install date but they were timely (in fact early) to what they promised. Jordan and his crew were kind and courteous and did great work!! I purchased window blinds from 800-4BLINDS for my entire house back when I moved in about 8-9 yrs ago. I was told that these blinds would have a lifetime warranty, which played a large part on why I chose to go with this company. Now I wish I hadn't. This "lifetime guarantee" is bullcrap & nothing but a major headache. A few yrs ago I called 800-4BLINDS to fix or repair the tracking that's along my sliding glass door. The customer service rep was the worst. Before she would even discuss the process of hoping to get someone to come out to look at it, she demanded that I send her pictures of the problem. I don't understand how to capture the tracking not working in a picture. I tried to explain this & ask how I'm supposed to do this, but she was rude, unhelpful & basically cut me off. So here I am, years later, still with the same problem with the tracking, plus I have issues with a couple other window blinds. I'm going to try to call customer service again, but I'm really hoping that the rep that replies will understand what Customer Service means! I scheduled an appointment to have someone come & measure windows in master bathroom for shutters. He called day of appointment & gave me his arrival time & was prompt & professional. I ordered shutters & was told six to eight weeks & was pleasantly surprised when I was notified they were in before that. We set up an install date. Continuation from my previous review. The end of this month will be a year and I still haven't received blinds. The same lady who speaks on behalf of the owners advised it will be in January that I'll receive my shutters. Guess what-no shutters and it's March. I called on December 16th and she advised she hasn't been in the office so that's why I didn't receive a call back. I also asked for a refund since it's been a year and she said she couldn't give a refund. I said okay that's what I needed to know. Legal action is coming. I have an appointment for Friday morning. If I give 0 stars I absolutely would. I stopped a prominent business from downtown Detroit from bidding on them as a potential vendor for window treatments/blinds/shutters. Horrible Customer Service. I purchased a Groupon for $400 worth of blinds including installation. The prices changed after I told Craig I had a Groupon and he told me it didn't include installation. He left me with a quoted price of $346 out of pocket, (over and above the $400). I later called the company because I was curious what the exact itemized amounts were and from there it got crazy. Craig wouldn't return my phone calls. I could not get a straight answer from anyone on what the price breakdown was. One lady I think Laurie? told me the prices were $68/blind and I ordered 5 blinds. This sounded right to me but the total would be $340, NOT $746! So with this price, I should not have had anything out of pocket. I ended up canceling the order after 3 other people called me with different prices. Groupon refunded my money because this isn't the first complaint they have had. read more

******BEWARE*******TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS****** Horrible company, Horrific customer service, Nothing but problems. I was referred to their "Rep" in Chicago named Dallas Wilcox. I communicated with him on an email address on the company domain Dallas@18004blinds.com. All quotes and contracts were on the 18004Blinds.com letterhead. The order took three times to get correct, and never was. The blinds had to be recut several times. The installation was so bad they had to come back multiple times, then, after a few months, the blinds started falling off the ceiling. When I called for support under the warranty, they acted like their rep was not affiliated with their company and they refused to offer any support. A very nice young lady even told be she had been getting a lot of calls from people who had given deposits and not received their orders. She was aware of him, but tired to tell me he was not affiliated with their company, eventhough the email he used was on their company website domain. I have used 4blinds twice in my home and once for my business. We shopped around and found the service, price and installation were all I could ask for. I bought plantation style shutters for our home and liked them so much we order more for the bath and another room. For our business, we needed some sun protection since we face west and Barry got us custom sun shades that took all the afternoon sun off our customers and help lower our cooling bill. But the true test of a company, is when there is a problem. We noticed that one of our rarely used shutters had a problem with the lower track coming loose. Needed repair on valences where the plastic clips got so brittle I couldn't remove the valences without breaking the clips even though I was extremely careful. Everly single clip was yellow and cracked when I removed the valences. Then the plastic "L" clip cracked when I set the valence down. Went to the store and they said they don't have the clips and had no substitutes. They said they changed the vendor for the clips but never offered any solution. I was supposed to have lifetime guarantee on these expensive blinds and valences. No guarantee because you changed vendors??? Make it right even if you have to replace the valences would be my solution. They gave me a website to go buy the clips if they were available which they didn't know. I just wish they would have made it right :-( I cannot recommend them any longer. Gave them two stars for listening to my complaint/issue with empathy but maybe I was gracious. read more
