Very simple and easy process. I went to their website online and set up a pick up time for my mattress. They showed up right in the middle of the two hour window like they said they would and were able to remove the mattress in a matter of minutes, I paid them 150 for the removal of my queen mattress and that was it. This company went above and beyond to make me happy. I would recommend having them come over and give you a quote first so there aren't any surprises in costs. But if you have something like a garage to empty out, you're going to need a full truck and a full truck cost $750. I couldn't be more satisfied with 1-800-GOT-JUNK. I sold a vacation Condo recently and needed to remove everything by a certain date. They exceeded my expectations big time. It cost me around $600.00 to remove everything left that the Salvation Army didn't want. I called a few weeks prior to set up a pickup date, the person I spoke with explained the process and procedures and offered a price range from a few hundred dollars to the max of $600.00. The final price is based on how full the truck gets. I recently purchased a 2nd floor condo where the old owners left a lot of stuff behind. I requested service with this company after calling donation centers and discovering they wouldn't take items like beds and tables from multilevel properties. The young man from Got Junk called me in the morning to let me know he could arrive sooner than scheduled. I explain that there were a lot of big items to be removed and that there was no service elevator, but he assured me that it would be no problem. Two men arrived around the new estimated eta, explained how the price worked and gave an estimate on the cost. They worked quickly removing the desk, tables, and even broke down the full sized bed. They were done in under an hour and I was so relieved to have the space cleared. A lot of the negative reviews I'm seeing seem to be about the cost. I did a little research before the appointment and saw that the price peaked at about $600 and just assumed I would pay as much. It ended up being much less, but if cost is an issue I would recommend reaching out to the company ahead of time. They were pretty responsive so I would recommend calling ahead and rounding up on whatever estimate they give you so you can be prepared. read more

Worst experience EVER...they're a total rip off. Took my construction debris. NEVER QUOTED A PRICE! Young guy just showed me a laminated picture of a dump truck with "lines" drawn on it. He talked about weight & bulk blah blah blah...bottom line is, PRICE. When I called to book appointment, guy who answered said, "you like the price we give you, and you agree, we'll load it up and dispose of it". Yeah, well that's not what they do. They show you some stupid picture of a truck. No real price. So they load 1 truck with carpet ONLY, and left. Came back for a second load, different truck due to a flat tire. This truck came with other people's garbage in it. They load more construction debris, still no price, they leave. When they come back the kid says $1923.00...WTFFFFF. My husband looked at me & I almost passed out. Now there are these 4 young kids, in my garage staring at me like I'm the nut job. I freaked out! Now the young kids call an old guy. He shows up in a Lincoln, says "what, they didn't explain it to you?" How awkward is that?! The absolutely most uncomfortable experience in my life! I could have had my renovation crew haul the garbage for $650! The "manager in the Lincoln" then gave me a $50 coupon & asked me what I thought was fair in price. I told him at least half that...he said no way...long story short, I got duped by this group, out of $1625 and I don't make these types of mistakes, ever. Now I'm not a jerk, the young guys were only doing as instructed, and they were kind. Even after this horrible experience I tipped them. I said they did a good job loading up & sweeping. It's not their fault this company screws people on pricing. I didn't think it was fair for the manager to put us all on the spot like that., in my garage. It's also more than ridiculous to not provide pricing prior to loading. So because of all of this, I disputed part of the amount, on my credit card. Citibank has been working with me. I started the dispute in February. 1-800-GOT-JUNK told Citibank, that they gave me a credit. They lied. No credit was ever applied to my card, of any amount. I just found out this today. That's why am posting. I have kept my mouth shut and was kind to the company and its employees, but after finding out through Citibank that they lied, it made me furious. So, my advice to anybody interested in using this company, don't. Use some local handyman or a company without the brand name. You will get much better treatment and pricing. We called 1-800-Got-Junk to help clean out our mother's apartment. The person on the 1-800 line gave us an appointment, but also gave us lots of inaccurate information, which the local person says happens all the time. First of all, the 1-800 line said the price would be from $135 - $378. She said that the local companies have relationships with local charities and that our mother's things would be donated to them as much as possible. She said that the final price would be based on the percentage of the truck which was filled, but that the packers would condense things as much as possible and that it didn't matter whether the items showed over the top. All of this was incorrect. The estimate was $700. The truck can only be filled to the 4 ft level, even though it is 5 ft high Everything was going straight to the dump. Besides that, the appointment time was changed four times and the driver gave us the impression that he was doing us a big favor to be there, since our location was normally serviced by a different local company -- that company had been in an accident with their truck, which explained the appointment time changes. In the end, the apartment was cleaned out, but I would caution anyone considering this service not to believe the 1-800 person, but to talk to the local company initially. read more

1 Star, I called to arrange a pick up in Boca Raton, FL for 12/26/15 between 10-12 for two couches. My mother waited 3 hours and no one showed up. She called during her wait, and was told pick up was on the way. She called again then was told the pick up was canceled. How from one call to the next it got canceled?!? Then she was told manager would call her in 15 mins.... It's be a few hours and no returned call. Apparently your company isn't need of business. This was not free pick up. These guys were great. The two men who came to our home were friendly and moved all the materials from the home remodeling we did without issue. They had some tough pieces to work with too - panes of mirror from a wall for example. They took it right out of our garage and even swept their work area and our garage afterward. It sucks to have to pay to have your junk taken away so at least they do a good job of doing it. The phone person gave me a quote on the phone and the price charged was what was quoted.
