I needed to get rid of a bunch of things from my storage unit. I called 1-800 Junk to book an appointment. Their response rate was fast! They provide a free consultation before the removal to give you an estimate of the cost. I truly appreciated that! When I was on a call to book an appointment, I had told the person that I would want someone there exactly at 3:30pm. The person confirmed this for me and even sent me a text. However, on the day of the appointment at exactly 3:30pm I got a call saying that they will come by 4:30pm. I was annoyed because I had travelled a distance to be there and there was no way I was going back home. I conveyed my message to the person and he was very nice and apologized about this miscommunication. Promptly after that, they arrived in 30mins. The people who helped me were Jack and Haiden, both were super efficient and fast! They were very good at stacking the truck as well and charged me the right amount based on the volume. I was very impressed by them and would recommend this service. However, I would advice that when you book an appointment to email them instead of a phone call. Their call centre is not closely affiliated to the service and that can cause some miscommunication. read more

Their website is straightforward and easy-to-navigate - you just pick your specific date and timeframe and they'll reach out with both a confirmation email and call. Michael asked what items I'd need taken care of to gauge the size of the delivery truck needed and said they would provide an accurate quote onsite day-of. My items included an old couch, broken desk, dresser, lamp, a small table with two chairs, extra floorboards and an armoire. With a noon to two pm slot scheduled, they called me around 11 to ask if I could do earlier as they were running ahead of time. No problem and they arrived promptly within ten minutes. After looking at the items, Michael gave me a quote within the $300-360 range (depending on if the items filled up a third or quarter of the truck), which I felt was very reasonable. He and his two team members were so friendly and efficient that they had everything out within the hour. They even went as far as to break down my furniture so it'd fit in a quarter of the truck, so I ended up paying $300 for their services. I was able to pay with my credit card using Square, and gave them a well-deserved tip. The whole process was so streamlined and saved me a lot of undue stress - I'd highly recommend this company to anyone and will be using their services again! read more

I called to get a quote advised of $218 min for 1 8th of truck wich is around a pick up truck according to previous company quote their quote was $20 dollers lower when they arrived and estimate for $496 was quoted plus tax . I gracefully declined as this was horrible and over priced. I decided to do my self my dad has a pick up with a cover it is a short box. We filled his truck and went to the dump $18 it cost me I brought boxes to recycling about 10 med size boxes. And I threw 2 bags of garbage in personal home dumpster. So I strongly feel that the weather and the fact my drive way is steep the workers quoted a hiked price to avoid the work.abs the rain was a factor. So it cost me $18 plus gas i gave my dad $50 so thats a huge savings of over $400. I would not recommend this company. And will discourage all people i know who considered this service.!!!!!!!! read more

Good service, quick and friendly but not too efficient. They charge by container size, so instead of packing things up in a neat Tetris-like manner, they toss it in and Will up charge if necessary. If you have a lot of heavy "unwanted relics" then they are fine, if you have lightweight "refuse" then look for a company charging by weight not size. read more

I think the staff are very good they arrived on time and were very friendly however they need to figure out their pricing and make it more transparent. I called and booked a bed frame removal and explained there no was no mattress. I was quoted $88 or $80. Perfect - I booked them and the next day they came and the team says it'll be $280. When I explained I was told $88 they had no idea what I was talking about, couldn't understand where that number came from. Never had a $80 call. So I paid as I had to get the stuff out but contacted the company to explain my displeasure. Basically the bed I had came with had 4 drawers that go under. Management said because I had 4 drawers that's why it went from $80 to $250+. I get I didn't articulate that well on the phone I assumed they were part of the bed however had the staff had knowledge of pricing, maybe they could've suggested I pull the 4 drawers out and save myself $100. So I visited their website, booked about a week in advance (mostly to give me time to clean up stuff, but they had appointments available pretty much the next day). The guys called me 20 minutes before my estimated time window, said they'd arrive in 40 or so. They actually arrived in 30, nice! - So, is there anything in addition to what you told us on the website? - Actually yeah. If possible I'd also like to get rid of this, and this, and that... - Sure, no prob. We charge you by volume, and I estimate it's going to be this much $$$, probably a little bit less. Shall we? - OK! Note: they're not on the cheap side. But considering what they took, how they did it (promptly, carefully, etc) and that they ticked all the above marks, it was not expensive either. Very fair, if I may. They were *lots* of things. But these guys managed to do it in just 2 elevator trips. Wife and I joked that "Tetris Champions" was probably one of the requirements when hiring . "Hey, what if you take this from the balcony as well?" "Yeah, sure!". Nice. Came back. "Hey, it's actually going to be a little bit less $$. Credit card? OK! You absolutely don't have to tip if you don't want to, but if you want, it can also be with your CC... Email receipt? There we go, thanks, see you!" Way to unload! Price range is $99 - to a full load $598 plus taxes. I don't know if this is a good price or not because this is my first time every using a service like this. With a 1:30PM appointment Sunday afternoon the trashers (Mario and Tye) called me 1 hour before arrival. I called them to let them know I had arrived and they were already there! It's like they are psychic :-) These two men are Uber prompt & professional. Being my first time, I really did not know how much junk I actually had. Once I reached my limit, they politely let me know that there was no job to small or to large LOL. To my surprise there quote was right on. I recommend this excellent service to anyone trying to rid themselves of unwanted junk or furniture. They recycle, re-use and donate as much as they can. They were very responsive during booking and committed to our pickup time. On the day of, they showed up exactly on time and even called ahead of time to confirm they were coming. The two gentlemen who arrived were professional and courteous. They examined our space and gave us a quote range for the removal before staring. We accepted. After carefully removing everything, they confirmed the final price and it was at the lowest end of the quoted range. They could have easily gone with the high end of the quote but they did not. That kind of honesty goes a long way. We could not have asked for a better experience. They might have a reputation for being a bit more expensive, but if you have a big move with a lot of things to dispose of, you cannot put a price on reliability. What do they not do well? The two guys did what I hired them to do (take my junk) but they also helped me move a couple things into the spave that was created by removing the junk. They were polite, friendly and just generally happy. There was no pressure for anything. They came in and looked at what I had to get rid of and, surprisingly, gave me an accurate estimate of the amount of space it would take in their truck (I was somewhat expecting to be overcharged). They definately packed it all very tightly in the truck utilizing all the space available. The fact they recycle or donate an average of almost 70% of items is also a HUGE draw. It was one of the big things that was keeping me from getting rid of the items. Other people can use this stuff so I didn't want it to just go to the dump. Made me feel way better about getting rid of the 'junk'. The price was more than affordable for the service I received. I will absolutely be using this company in the future and I will be singing its praises until the end of time. One more thing, i would have done it for free but they gave me $50 off just to put a little sign in my lawn. Given this experience, I was happy to let them put it up.
