I needed to get rid of my old sofa and loveseat. They were very friendly and got the job done fairly quickly. The booking on their website is super easy. I actually needed to use them again about a month later to get rid of a big hutch desk and a few other items (I'm reducing clutter/redecorating). I'd decided to get rid of desk on Saturday and I was able to get appointment for next day Sunday! Only downside is that they are kind of expensive. Not sure how prices are calculated but I live in apartment on third floor so I guess that had to be factored in? Would definitely recommend to anyone that needs stuff gone! read more

I am so impressed with this company! We had a few bigger items to be removed from our house and this place was worth every penny. We had a 200+ pound tv, old wood, a metal ourdoor table, abour 40 concrete yard bricks, and just JUNK. They took it all for the price of $148!! What I like about this company is they measure by volune, not by weight, which was a plus for us since we had the TV and the concrete. I can almost garuntee that it would have cost us so much more than that. And this was WAY more convienent!! I called on Wednesday afternoon and they were here on Thursday afternoon. They could have even came this morning but I wasn't avaliable then. Their "minimum" price is $98 and I can definitely forsee us using them again, and again, and probably again. We have plans to rip to roof off our patio and replace our remaining yard bricks this summer - all which will require juk removal. A+++ in my book. Worst experience ever! I have never use the service my husband generally takes our trash to the dump when we have extra however our stick shift went out in our truck. We had three piles of trash that we had them take. They came with stuff already in the truck (bags of trash in the corner)( not trash cans for work use which is what customer service says) He told me when quoting that it would be a truck load and he pointed to a price on his laminated sheet that was under the $400 mark (he wouldn't hand me the paper and nothing was signed ever before starting(Again customer service told me that's normal...) If they charged us for a full load and told me up front that I'd be paying almost $900 I would have told them no thank you. I did the estimate/ walk through with them myself but when it came time to pay I sent my husband out because I was dealing with our infant. They charged him twice as much as they told me what to expect ( after getting baby down I went out front to close gates as the last gentleman ran out the gate to his truck) I didn't think much of it at first just figured they were done with the project and wanted to get on with the evening as it had been getting late but that was before my husband was able to communicate with me about what he just paid them. On top of the fact one of the employees tossed a work broom over the TOP of the 1-800 junk truck and almost hit my rear windshield on my van (I was watching them out the windows of my house the whole time) We made sure to ask prior to them even starting if they needed that car moved they replied "no we will back up to the gate and it will be fine) I can't believe the cost of this I am in shock and disbelief that this all just went down ... We could have ordered a dumpster from Flanneries had it for a week and got three times the amount of stuff in the dumpster than they took today for cheaper than we spent. What a bummer. I have made a complaint and claim through the company but don't have high hopes after talking to the worker on customer service line. Definitely DONT recommend and will never ever use them again !! I STAND BY MY STATEMENT: Even after talking to customer service today they have way to many holes in this company! They are NOT willing to listen to the customers over their employees word which shouldn't be the case in customer service situations. I'm going to start with the positives, The process was simple, they were able to send someone over the same day, and the two gentlemen who performed the work were friendly and did a good job. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the pricing model, the franchise owner contacted me personally and wanted to work with me. So as far as the service itself went, it was 5 star. However, I am giving this a two star review, because despite all of those positives, in the end I felt I was ripped off. Without going into excessive detail, the job probably should have cost around $600 tops, based on the other quotes I had, and based on the amount of materials that was there, but the way it was divided up, I was charged $967. When I expressed my shock at the time, they offered me a coupon to reduce it by $50, and after speaking with the franchise owner, they were willing to reduce it by another $50. During that process, I did try to understand how their billing worked, and she did try to explain it to me, but ultimately it came down to "you are paying for the service". So I understand why it was billed the way it was, but I still found it excessive. I am writing this review to let others know to shop around or check with your local collection service, you may get a much better deal. read more

I was in NE PDX for 6 days and needed some fast help to clear trash away while getting my house ready to rent. Called Got Junk and made an appointment for the next day, 9 AM. (The phone guy was in Toronto, Canada and super nice.) He told me the guy would call at 8:30 AM to confirm his arrival. Next day - 8:30 AM the phone rings, they are on their way. 9 AM- arrival of truck and 2 very nice helpful guys. Good-bye broken fence, rotten picnic table, bags of trash, broken planter boxes, busted hoses, bags of oyster shells. They even helped me remove a section of barbed wire that was on an old piece of fence next to my garage that had been bugging me for 12 years. VERY nice and polite guys and they were done by 9:30 AM!!! Amazing. also they left me with a brochure that tells that over 80% of the junk/trash is recycled in some way. THANK YOU!!!!!! read more

For someone who doesn't own a car, this service is invaluable. Disposing of couches or other furniture of similar size will doubtless cost you a pretty penny. Renting a truck, gas, time, and perhaps even the fees at the local dump. For $188 i had a futon and a large group of boxes removed from my flooded basement. This not only saved me time, but made a rather frustrating day much more manageable. I booked online at 10am and they called me just before their noon to 2pm window. They let me know their location and when they'd be there. They were on time, and gave me a basic overview of the cost and time before they started. They were fast and courteous, and even gave me $10 off for booking online. Overall I'm quite satisfied. For what it is worth, I will keep this company in mind whenever I need stuff removed. read more

Had this annoying pile of dirt, concrete, rotted wood and misc junk in my driveway and was having a hard time getting calls back from people. These guys have a great online schedule signup and they had a spot the next day and a 2 hour window! They called to give me a heads up on their timing, the 2 workers were professional, quick and knowledgeable and planned on recycling as much as they can (the company incentivizes this effort!!!) Nick and Sean were the absolute best! It was a hot day and they had been busy at other jobs which had gone long, but they came in laughing and smiling and were incredibly efficient. They were friendly, were highly communicative about when they would arrive, and were happy people. I didn't get creeped out by having them in my home, either. I'd give the company 2 stars. First, the lady on the phone tried to talk me out of using a coupon and secondly, the website is not completely clear with their pricing structure. When you want one item removed there is a fee per item, and not a price for volume of the truck taken up. AND, I was quoted the wrong price by the lady on the phone. Not cool. The ease of their online scheduling system is the only thing I liked about my experience. When I asked a guy on the phone for details on possible extra charges that might apply besides the base rate minimum and full truck shown on their website, he said there were none and that I just needed to let the guys come out, give me a free bid and then decide. Every question got a question back or an answer that didn't apply. It felt like he was trying to verbally wrestle me into submission. ONLY because of the high Yelp ratings did I proceed - which is why I'm taking the time to write this. Two guys called ahead, showed up on time, and were friendly. But right away they brought up extra charges for gathering up garbage scattered around the site rather than being in one place, $100/railroad tie, and $8.50/tire. They had printed lists they had to go by, apologized for what the guy on the phone said, but said that they had no control of the centralized customer service center. The truck turned out to be 13 cubic yards instead of the 15 stated by the guy on the phone, which changed the per yard price I'd used to compare. The base price for half a truck was about $500 while the full truck was about $700, so costs were loaded at the front end much more than I expected. Though it was a pain to have to start over, and this was a rental I didn't live close to, I declined their services. read more
