We love Northwest Children's Outreach. They provide clothes, hygiene products, toys, books, shoes…read moreand much more to hundreds of low income families in our community. Our business has been collecting items for them for 6 years now and we just love supporting this local non-profit that has been making such a huge and important impact to our community. They have times when volunteers can help sort donations and get items ready to be sent to the families. I haven't helped with that yet, but hope to soon! Great work NCO!

To continue serving the residents of Hood River, they now have a large blue donation truck across the street, just east of Ixtapa Mexican restaurant. While they can accept clothing and small household donations, they are not capable of accepting furniture due to the limited space. For furniture, the next closest donation center is in The Dalles. The goal is to secure a new physical location, but until then, I'm super happy they have this Goodwill Donation Truck. Recently I dropped off lots of winter coats, clothing, and some small household items. Very friendly and helpful gentleman working there.

It offered pickup for a few bags up to many bags with very few necessary guidelines. They said a pickup was available today 7am-6pm. I checked that slot. So I bagged them, put them on my front porch- 20 bags- many gently used & many brand new- used once or twice if at all & good brands & good quality. You took the overwhelm out of the equation. They were doing some moving around and remodeling the way the floor is laid out today. It was a little difficult to get around on my scooter. But they seem to be doing as a little disruption as possible for the customers enjoyment. I really do like come in here. The people are generally really nice. What ever genius came up with the parking lot traffic pattern for donation drop off didn't think it…read morethrough. You don't need to be a traffic engineer to see the problem. 3 points of entry trying to squeeze into on lane creating traffic conflict and with some people having short tempers and waiting for at least an hour or more, something can escalate. Not to mention shoppers can enter or exit a parking spot because of cars blocking and can't move because they can't back up or move forward because of being blocked themselves.
