The failure to back fill the trenches cost us a buyer on our house, which I am beyond livid about. The buyer backed out after seeing the huge unfilled areas and though Repipe did fix the issue, they had to bring in a digger to do so- leading me to ask how in the heck could they have done such a bad job with back filling the first time? 2) we were told that the warranty on the work was 10 years but only 4 years if transferred to another buyer. I never got a good reason for why this was and I feel it's shady. Ultimately everything passed inspection, etc but due to the issues above, I'm quite upset about the whole process. Would not use them again if given the choice.

I got a call back from a different number, seemed like might not have been the same person, but since I had only called one plumber, I figured it had to be the same guy. We spoke and agreed on a 5PM service call to work on my water softener. I took photos of the unit and sent a detailed text, to which he confirmed. They said someone would be here at 5PM. 5:15 PM no one is here, no ones has called, so I call them back, they said they would call the technician and call me right back. At 5:35PM, still no call back. I call again "the technician is wrapping up another job, he'll be right there" 5:45PM the technician calls me and says..."so what are we doing today, installing a water filter?" I said no, you're repairing a water softener...I sent pictures and a detailed explanation to your boss. "oh, well we don't really do that, there must have been a miscommunication" So I call the number of the guy I have been texting with...and he sends me to voicemail. I text him letting him know what happened and asking for an update. He responds "I'll call you in 1 minute" well, that was almost 30 minutes ago. I would avoid these guys like the plague.

The gas company knocked on my door at 8:30 pm on a Tuesday night; letting me know I had a major gas leak and that they were shutting my gas off until it could be fixed. I immediately messaged 10-15 companies on Yelp and John was the first to get back to me, and with a reasonable estimate. (Other companies quoted an extra charge because of the "urgent" nature of the issue, John did not.) As promised, John showed up first thing the next morning, walked through the leaks with me and explained how he was going to fix them. I live in an old building, and the lines connected to my water heater/furnace had an undisclosed leak. He was here for 3.5-4 hours, and did an incredibly thorough job patching up the lines and replacing the shut off valves. The gas company checked for leaks when they turned the gas back on, and the commented what an amazing job he had done. I will be keeping John's info and will contact him for any and all future plumbing needs. He was very polite, fairly priced, and treated my home like his own.

Decided to try Mesquite Plumbing/Mr. Rooter. We stayed home and waited for them to arrive. Late in the day they rescheduled for the next day. When they eventually arrived, the plumber looked at it and said that he would sour up an estimate. Thirty minutes later he presented the estimate for $1500 and another for $5000 to replace a non-leaking line by the street because the copper was "Green". Coincidentally, we just had that line replaced by Riddell for only $400, just 3 months ago when the city replaced our meter. I told the Mr. Rooter representative this and he told me that they do "by the Job" pricing vs. by the hour and that is why it cost so much. I paid him the $65 "service call charge" and sent him on his way. I then dug up the area around the valve and found a very small leak at one of the copper pipe junctions. Less than a half hour to fix for any decent plumber. I would literally be ashamed to operate a business in this type of predatory manner. If I didn't know something about plumbing, I would have been totally ripped off. BUYER BEWARE!
