Updated details based on owner's response. Stay away.  We hired 1 Day Bath on March 2nd and they promised they would complete our kitchen renovation by May 1st (my wife was 30 weeks pregnant at the time). We made all payments in a prompt manner. We found out later they use fake positive reviews and stock photos on their website (and probably here too, see news article at the end).   At the project's beginning, work went quickly in clearing out the old kitchen.  Because of this, we also hired 1 Day  Bath to renovate our fireplace and do minor bathroom work.  They assured us the additional work would not interfere with the kitchen project (different work crews they said) and everything would still be completed by May 1st.  It turns out 'work crews' meant one person and we never had more than one worker show up on the same day. After kitchen demolition, the project moved along at a snail's pace.  Our project manager rarely showed up and did not communicate the progress of our project to us or others in the company.  One month in he left the company and no one replaced him thus leaving our project without a supervisor.  I would frequently text/call Don (owner) about the disappointment in the project progress.  He would make meaningless apologies/excuses.  The pace never picked up and he never once visited on site even when the project was left without any supervision. From March 15th to May 2nd, we had absolutely no kitchen and no working being done. It was a huge room of just concrete, with a big trench in the middle of the kitchen floor (not safe for anyone, let alone for a family with pets and a 35+ week pregnant woman).  Why would they remove our old kitchen if the new kitchen wasn't going to be installed for several months?  Our refrigerator was in the garage and we cooked on a portable stove.  We still didn't have a functional kitchen by the time our baby was delivered on May 17th.   From June to August a worker would show up sporadically for still unfinished items such as installing the backsplash, painting, cabinet handle fixtures, etc. In early August most of the work was finally 'complete' (three months past promised completion date). We requested the standard final walkthrough before final payment as agreed in the contract (per contract, 25% of the payment is pending on final walkthrough). On August 7th, a newly hired site supervisor came out and agreed that some work was not up to par and more work needed to be done.  However, he said he must collect the final check or they would sue us.  He wrote an email with a to-do list, promising to return within three weeks to finish/fix everything.  He wouldn't leave until he had the check. Concerned about our family safety, we reluctantly handed over the final check (yep I know, that was not smart and I should have called the police). The email stated (which Don was included on) the site supervisor promised to return within three weeks, which would be Saturday, Aug 28th.  On the 28th (talk about cutting it close) at 11:30 he called and said he needed to reschedule to Sunday "due to unforeseeable circumstances".  On Sunday he never showed and stopped responding to my text messages and calls.  At this point I naturally assumed our business together was done and when I wrote the initial review and started planning for small claims court. Weeks later Don texted having no idea about the timeline above and asked about 'fixing all the things that were installed wrong' (does no one communicate with each other in this company?). Any 'fix' to the flooring would be a band aid. It was not installed properly and needs to be completely redone (the estimates I received from professional flooring companies thought I installed it). This is something Don refuses to acknowledge. Don's response is simply not true on all accounts. At no point was anyone anything but polite to the workers. The allegations against my wife's parents (this is insulting) are completely false and there is no recording. The actual workers really liked us and we keep in touch for odd jobs. I have no issue with them, wasn't their fault. We received a 1% discount (wow, thanks!) for the items that were not completed on the contract. I guess for paying $91,000 I was expecting a lot more: such as staying on the promised time schedule due to a newborn coming home, not not having a kitchen for three months with not work being done, having a project manager, communication on project status/timeline, and high quality work. The company has a past. ***STAY AWAY*** Bathrooms turned out fine, but some frustrating lack of communication during the process. But - when a pretty minor installation issue popped up, (warranty issue) they chose to ghost us. One month emails, text messages and phone calls and they just ignore. One guy is answering all the calls (all numbers seem to forward to him) and he keeps saying he fwded the info to the office and they will get back to me. At this point, I don't believe. He won't help me get in touch with anybody at the office, but says call them. And then the calls all ring back this him. Warranty is apparently window dressing - they have no intention of actually providing warranty service. Is there a zero stars option for their warranty? read more

We had a really disappointing experience with 1 Day Bath of Texas. In short, you'd probably be better off hiring different tradespeople yourself. Either way, you will spend your time chasing after adults to do their jobs, so you might as well as save yourself some money. There's no real oversight or management to make this easy on you, the homeowner, but you are paying a premium for their "service." Along the way, from the time of signing the contract to the completion of the project, there was a lot of miscommunication about timelines and the process. We hired them to convert a shower stall and garden tub into a walk-in shower. It took them almost 4 weeks and there is still slight pooling on the floor and one of our fixtures is scratched up because the installer put the hose on wrong and tried to force it with a wrench (they did repaint it). The original installer made several mistakes (including when he came back and tried to fix the floor pan he incorrectly laid) and we finally had to ask for different staff to come out and fix things. Everyone else they sent was very nice and really tried to do a good job, but bless their hearts, they were offering some quick fixes (like nail polish to refinish the scratched showerhead). During the project, we raised our concerns with the company and were told that this is just what happens in construction... which I suppose means that companies send out incompetent installers that make mistakes for weeks before sending in someone who knows what they are doing. We've owned four homes and have done major work in all of them. We have never had this sort of experience with a company. read more

Although I did not use 1 Day Bath of Texas for my remodel project I felt inclined to leave a review. The project manager who came out to perform the inspection to provide a quote was nice and professional. A quote was given same day and reviewed with me which was unexpected and appreciated. I also received a follow up call from a manger I believe asking if the visit went well and made himself available for questions. All in all things were great when it comes to communication. The price was way more than anticipated and received a more competitive offer from another company. read more

This is one of the best companies to work with! They are prompt with the estimate, and their prices are competitive. On the day of my remodel, the company sent workers out by 8 am. This was not to early or too late. They laid down protective sheeting to make sure nothing got soiled while they were working. Attached you will find a picture of the work they did! New shower looks great! We encountered a few challenges during the remodel, mostly related to holidays interfering with getting new materials for mis-cut material provided by vendor. Once that was done, their sub-contractor came in to install the shower glass. Mostly went well except for a few quality items we had to go back to Don to get them to address. Note: quality issues were strictly sub-contractor - Don's team did fabulous work. Sub addressed the issues today so all is well. 4-stars rather than 5 stars due to less conscientious sub-contractor work quality. 1 Day Bath's direct work was wonderful. The bathroom remodel turned out nice, but if I could go back and do it over, I would choose any other business for the job. The headaches from no responses and completely disorganized planning were not worth the time or money. Only one person did all of the work and at no time did a certified plumber or electrician touch anything. I would not recommend. read more

Scheduled an estimate. Sal arrived on time. Gave me ball park estimate scribbled on his business car. I gave him my email address to send me my formal estimate. 3-4 days later the office followed up on my estimate. I told them I never received one from Sal. They said they what touch base with him. Two weeks later I heard from Sal and he said he would email me my formal estimate tomorrow. He texted me the next morning saying he didn't have my email address so I gave it to him. Sorry to say its been two more weeks and I still never received and email estimate. I went with another company. read more

We received a beautiful shower. It took a long time, due to supply issues, but well worth it.

We just purchased our new home earlier in the year and everything was perfect. That is with the exception of our disaster of a master bath. I recieved a free estimate by filling out a form on their website. They even helped me with color schemes! We needed a complete bathroom remodel and 1 Day Bath of Texas came to our rescue! The work included a custom designed spacious glass enclosure shower with tiled wall that would replace our boring single shower and also a bathtub remodel to finish off the more modern esthetic. The crew showed up on time and were very polite. They finished the job swiftly and even tidied up the place before showing me the finished product! I have already recommended 1 Day Bath Of Texas to all of my friends and will not hesitate to use them again when I am ready to revamp my other two bathrooms. Took 9 business days to finish 3 walls. No new drain pan nor plumbing was needed. Communication issues, damaged materials, incorrect measuring, resigning staff, negative emails made it an unpleasant experience. I do not recommend. read more

Jake was our sales guy, he's just a wonderful person. I made the initial call, Jake was there from the beginning all the way to the end, its great dealing with someone who knows what there talking about. His experience and knowledge set him apart from his competitors. None of there competitors could come close to their pricing, they were half the price from everybody else. That put the icing on the cake, and then they offered financing with 12 months, no interest, and no payments which I took advantage of such a great offer. Bathroom looks great, however it took forever for them to start which was due to suppliers. Once he started (1 person) it still took forever to complete. There was always an excuse to be a no show Mondays and/or Fridays. The days he did show he rarely worked all day. It took about 3 weeks for a 1 Day Bath after the work started. read more

1 Day Bath of Texas. The owner of this franchise. Don Ray!!! Absolutely did not fulfill his commitment. I hired him/his company in February 2020. They did not get out to my home until June 2020. He always had an excuse. I was patient & understood due to COVID etc... When he did finally show up, the shower door was the incorrect height, the toilets were not the ones I chose & the bathtub I chose was not what they installed. I paid my bill in full. Don Ray said he would fix/make every thing correct as agreed in our original contract. He did not & said he will not correct things. Do not use 1 Day Bath of Texas. I had a very outdated bathtub with mold all around, I rarely used it because of that reason so I decided to call different companies to see which one I feel comfortable with and this company was half the cost from the others. I spoke to Faith and she was so kind and understood what my problem was and walked me through every single detail from start to finish. They installed a new bathtub and removed all the mold. Love the finished product. The entire experience was positive. I admit that I was skeptical at first because the price was ~$10k less than another company's estimate, but so glad I went with them. They were willing to work with me on the tile design and gave me loads of options for fixtures and doors. I LOVE the new shower (did a garden tub to walk in shower conversion). I had water damage in my master bathroom and wanted to get a quote for a tub to shower conversion while doing demo anyways. Jerry Thorn came out and tried walking me through the process. I never got real answers. He gave me the quote, which was much higher than I had expected. He was presenting mediocre pictures to me, nothing that I would expect from a bathroom remodel business. I then told him that I would get back to him the next day since I wanted to discuss with my husband and the insurance guys. He immediately started packing up his bag and kept saying (verbatim): "I cant believe this, why would you want to talk to your husband first, what is he gonna change?" He also said that it him and his sales people have to drive far to give quotes and that this was a hassle pretty much. And then he just walked out. Don't offer free quotes, if you don't want to drive. Don't offer appointments on Sundays if that is inconvenient to you. The way he acted and talked to me was infuriating. All that mattered to him was making this sale. I will NEVER use them. He was so unprofessional and rude when he didn't get his way. Unbelievable!! I would give 0 stars if it was an option. A bathroom remodel is a big decision and needs to be discussed with all parties involved. I even told him that I was ok with the slightly higher price if I would sign next week. But that didn't matter to him. He wanted to close the deal. I understand that a sales person wants to close a deal, but c'mon, if he would have been patient for one more day, he probably would have gotten the deal. The price I paid was the price originally quoted to me and the value of my home has improved exponentially. Mold was removed from the bathroom walls and now my bathrooms smell fresh and clean.
