We had an old patio that we wanted to replace it with the screen room. We talked and got the estimates from 3 contractors. We decided to go with MP Drywall & Remodeling base on the great reviews and reasonable estimate. As well, we could tell Mark's crew, Anton, was professional and skilled. As nature of construction jobs, there were A LOT of details. Although we tried to be thoroughly about every detail, there were still a few things we missed and misunderstood. Mark was able to help us over the things we missed or misunderstood and he was great at communications. Most of the time, Mark always got back to us in timely manner and we could be worry free about getting in touch with him. All his crews were working diligently. Our old patio was demolished in 2-3 days and they took care of the debris well, especially compared to our past experienced from other contractors. We have experienced many contractors always very good at talking and promising on the quality of their works. Only Mark and Anton were the real deal for this matter. They didn't over talk, especially Anton. He normally didn't talk much, but worked diligently and showed his care and proud for the quality of his works. They used the quality materials and paid attentions in details and what we mentioned or commented. There was some delay, but you could tell Anton really wanted to get the jobs done as scheduled. We understood sometime things couldn't go as planed. Anyway, one person of his crew showed up before time every single day, really every single day! We have never experienced that with any other contractors. So far more than 2 times of remodeling our house, Mark and Antonio is the best working team we have ever experienced. We can't say that there wasn't any problems during their working, but when the problems occurred Mark would try his best to get the problems solved. Finally, our new screen room was done beautifully. Neighbors came over to take a look and we have got compliments for our new screen room. We learned to be even more thoroughly for our next project too. I feel bad because Mark and his team were incredible and this review is a bit overdue. We hired Mark back in August for our flip in Austin after we found out what a hack job our previous contractor had done. Just some background, we are located in California and was attempting this project remotely after trusting our realtor who recommended the previous contractor. After we got back a home inspection report there was a laundry list of items that were completed poorly or wasn't completed at all. As a result, we fired all parties and started over to try to move forward. It was an extremely stressful time for us as we realized we were going to lose a lot of money on this flip, but we needed to get the house fixed properly. I contacted multiple contractors located in Austin and explained our situation. Mark responded timely and took the time to look over the inspection report and provided a detailed bid that would address whatever issues we can fix. He was thorough in making sure he double checked with his licensed plumber, electrician, and HVAC on multiple items before he committed to anything. Because we are in California, communication was key in this process. He provided constant updates on what was completed, sent pictures, answered all questions we had, and committed to everything he said he was going to do. His attention to detail is impressive. Super meticulous in his work. He was able to notice the smallest nuances only a seasoned contractor would notice. He provided great feedback and bounced ideas to us when we would run into an issue. Because he knew of our financial bind, he was always very conscious of trying to solve the problem without nickel and diming us, or resorting to a solution without considering the financial burden on us. His craftsmanship is clean and top notch and super professional. He fixed so many small things here and there that wasn't technically on the work order, which we greatly appreciated. Despite having to dump more money into the house, we at least felt comforted in knowing we have a solid and beautiful home to put on the market. Where do I start! Mark did a complete bathroom remodel for us, including building out new walls (around what was formerly a weird hallway) to make a true 'suite' for our main bedroom.
