I told him I'm only getting a haircut and he said ok. Another customer walks in and he assists her, seating her at the station behind me and proceeds to ask what cut and color she would like. About 5 minutes later, he tells me to sit 2 stations down. Ten comes over after she assisted another customer and asks what cut I would like. I told her I wanted to keep my V shape + long layers and just wanted to thin out my hair. She said ok and started straightening my hair. My hair is already very straight to begin with and I've never been to a salon where they start off straightening your hair, but this should've been enough for me to trust my gut and get up and leave! I decided to "trust the process" and she basically began dry cutting my hair and kept straightening in between cuts. In the end, she styled it with the straighter and said "I gave you more layers ok?" I'm so disappointed by Ten because not only did she not listen to what I asked for, but she butchered my hair. Of course with all the straightening, my hair would look decent because it's "styled," but when it's freshly washed and blow dried without styling, it's a choppy 3 layer haircut! I'm not sure who hired her, but she isn't fit to be a hairstylist. Now I have to either find someone who can fix my hair or just let it grow out.

I originally wanted to go really short, but Henry suggested not going too drastic right away, and I'm so glad I listened to him. He helped me ease into a shorter style that still feels like me! Now my hair sits a little under my shoulders, with the back slightly longer and I love it so much!! It's been such a nice change, especially with my schedule. I work early Monday through Friday, so having shorter hair makes it way easier to manage and dry. Now that I'm used to this medium length, I actually feel ready to go even shorter next time, like above the shoulders! All I wanted was a shorter cut - I showed a picture of a long layered "bob" but I said I wanted the short version of the cut. I was told my hair is shorter than the picture - how can you have a cut that's longer? This hair cutter was short and impatient to the point of insulting. There were other insulting words this hair cutter said but I chose not to post the words. I said I didn't want the length on the picture. I just said I wanted the shorter version of it. This hair cutter person proceeded to cut my hair but continued to talk to the person cutting hair next chair up in their language. I don't think I'm coming back.
