I asked for curtain bangs with long layers and am pretty happy with the results. She took about 25 minutes for my $40 cut, which I felt was a good amount of time. This is the price without a hair wash which I read in other reviews, they charge extra for. The whole vibe of the salon feels like a mom n' pop/ down-to-earth salon, all the ladies seem to vibe well with each other and it is a carefree place. I have been going to this salon for years and I hate that I have to update this, once was five star, review. I've gone here to get my hair colored and trimmed. The one hairstylist I trust here the most is Amy. She does a fantastic job each and every time (doesn't dismiss what I want!) If you end up going here, trust Amy. I went here 3 times the past month trying a different hairstylist (not Amy) and hate to say that my experiences with one man at the salon and some other woman have not been that great. 1. I wanted a specific hair color and was disappointed with the outcome. I respectfully said it wasn't what I wanted, and they kept arguing back with me. It was unprofessional and after 10 minutes of what seemed like bickering, they agreed for me to come back the next day to change it. 2. I asked for bottleneck bangs, showed 5 different pictures as reference, and did NOT get what I wanted. My bangs were cut straight with no framing pieces. Again, disappointed. 3. Today, 10/29/25, this was probably my last straw and last time of wanting to come back to this place. I had lightened highlights and asked for a dark brown toner with no bleach. I went in the previous week for a consultation, so they knew exactly what I wanted. Basically ended up with my same jet black natural hair (NOT AT ALL BROWN!!!!!!!!!!). I was upset and just didn't say anything because I didn't want them to bleach and fry my hair-- in order to get it lightened again and get a brown color. I forgot to mention that while I was getting my hair washed, I had water going down my back, which was very annoying. This is the last time I'll ever be coming back to this salon. Terrible service. They dyed my daughter's hair the incorrect color and dyed it jet black instead of dark brown. We tried to wash it out as much as we could at home, but ended up having to go back because of how much we disliked the service. They not only refused to give us a refund, but they also wanted to charge us again ($300-400 after the initial $150 we already paid!) to dye it dark brown even though that was the original color we asked for. The customer service there was unbelievably terrible as all the workers cannot speak proper English causing miscommunication. We asked the hairdresser "Rachel" multiple times why she dyed it black and she lied to us saying we asked for it and that it would fade out the previously bleached hair less quicker even though we never asked for it to become JET black. In the end I did not receive any refund and my daughter is left with jet black hair that looks navy in the sun even though she is a warm toned person. Tried this place for the first time today after reading good reviews on Yelp, but will never go back again. Jasmin was my stylist. I asked for a trim of 1-2 inches and showed her a picture of a haircut that was somewhat similar to mine but with shorter bangs (as I wanted a bang trim as well). She even showed me how much she was going to cut off (which was probably around 1 inch) and I said she could even go a slight bit more (0.5 - 1inch) if she wanted, but my hair is now probably 6 inches shorter than it was when I went in. Things seemed fine at first but then she just kept going and taking more and more hair off. First photo is my hair before, 2nd photo is the picture I showed her for reference, and 3rd photo is what I walked out with. I wish I had spoken up but I was honestly in shock and at that point it was already too late. I've been trying to grow my hair out for a long time and now it's the shortest it's been in YEARS. I'm so sad and disappointed, and the worst thing about it is there's nothing I can do to fix it except for wait. read more

It's finally time for me to cut the cord with this salon and sadly at the cost of my hair and a lot of money. I've been going to Evan for 2 years and he never gave me what I ask for even with plenty of pictures and explanation of what I wanted. Every single time I have to go to another stylist to get it fixed which cost me more money and damage to my hair. This was my last straw. I had prior balayage that turned extremely brassy and warm toned. I asked Evan specifically for COOL toned ash brown balayage and said I don't want any warm tones and want previous/brassy tones to be fixed first. He finished the whole session in just 2 hours. He did slap on some bleach and ash brown tones BUT he did NOT do color correction at all. I walked out with my hair a mix of silver strands where he attempted to do cool brown ash tones and my previous brassy strands. It was uneven and completely different from what I asked for. Of course he kept saying it's ash brown and "that's what ash brown is." Yes, you used ash brown but it's not ash brown at all. My hair is also extremely damaged, frizzy, and dry. I sent him a picture of my hair the next day asking to get it fixed and he did agreed to fix it. But I'm scared of what the extra damage would do and frankly, unsure of how he's going to fix it. I attached the picture of a month exactly after i got it done and you can see my hair is back to its brassy hair. So girls, PLEASE stop going to this salon just because it's cheap. They do NOT do any color correction at all. They just put on whatever color you ask for and hope it'll work. No accountability or thorough knowledge either. SKIP! read more

Read the reviews and thought I'd give this place a try. Saw a particular stylists work and thought maybe they can do the style that I want. Gave an example of what I wanted my hair to look like. We discussed it in the beginning she showed me colors from the book, we seemed to have an understanding. I believe I said I did not want it too orange. However I'm now stuck with this hair and I'm having regrets. I voiced my concerns once my hair was dry and was told the color would fade as I washed it but still, it's not what I wanted. I'm actually saddened to write this because I wanted to love my hair. Abby spent a lot of time on my hair and I paid about $400 plus tip. So I'm just not sure where to go from here. I think not adding toner to my bleached hair was what made the color so orange. They also didn't add any hair products before blow drying and styling my hair, I'm used to applying heat protectant and stuff but none of that was done. Just a little hairspray at the end. Maybe my expectations were too high and going for a bold look and or new look was my fault but isn't that what you're supposed to do? Definitely have mixed feelings as it's sort of what I wanted but also isn't, definitely too orange. See pics for comparisons as to what I asked for vs what I got. It felt like you were at the dr's office waiting forever for your doctor despite having an appointment. After I told them what kind of haircut I wanted, they kept pressuring me to change certain points of what I wanted. It wasn't even just a suggestion anymore, they were really against it. That being said, this is for a basic haircut. They don't completely wash your hair, and when talking to the stylists, it's a pretty short consultation of what you want - layers or no, bangs or no. My haircuts are usually pretty simple - I ask for them to trim off my dry/dead ends, a U-shaped in the back, and face-framing layers. My stylist did a good job; she recommended the amount that I should cut off for a fuller look since my ends were thinning out a bit. The haircut itself doesn't include a wash, but I opted for one, knowing that it would increase the cost. The hair wash ended up being an additional $15! Typical cost, but it was super rushed - I was in and out of the chair in less than five minutes. I spend more time shampooing and conditioning my hair at home. It was definitely not worth the extra charge, especially considering there was no added care or attention to my hair/scalp. My haircut was decent, but I would not recommend getting the full cut and wash here. The roots went flat after the first wash even though I specifically asked for more curls, and the result looked very different from what I expected. After seeing my review, Rachel reached out and sincerely apologized for the experience. She offered a complimentary re-perm for my roots and hair treatment. It seems like she just did what she wanted. She also left my hair in bleach longer than it should have because she was busy focusing on other peoples hair. After letting it set for a few days, I washed my hair, and my hair turned yellow. I came out of the salon with fried hair and had to cut my hair super short because of it. The reason I'm still angry about it is because I'm still dealing with the damage and still having to cut off fried hair. I feel completely taken advantage of. A few of my friends have also stopped going here because of the toll it took on their hair. Also, the balayage wasnt even good.
