I came here yesterday with my mom and my sister. This was not a relaxing experience. My mom said her pedicure was really rough and painful. The chairs are super outdated they hurt to sit in for a long period of time. They had a tv but no music running. At the end of our time there one of the nail techs was on her phone but her phone was on full blast playing Facebook videos. Headphones would have been polite. We will not be back. read more

Ended up she paid $85 for a crap job. Smdh. If you enlarge the picture and look at her cuticles it's all full of glue and acrylic. They popped off my acrylics using a plastic nail. While I do appreciate their time management, the whole experience did feel rushed. They had me hopping from chair to chair the get my nails painted. I love the color but in all honesty my nails don't look professionally done. The length is uneven and on some nails the polish doesn't reach all the way down to the cuticle and on others it floods over. Now I just need to figure out how to remove gel polish when it's time so that I don't have to go back and waste my money. Super unfortunate. read more

I won't be coming here again. I asked for a shellac manicure. My tech immediately started filing my previous shellac off with the drill tool they usually use when applying acrylics (like all the way down to the nail, instead of soaking in acetone). This hurt and several times I pulled back involuntarily. While she was talking to other techs, she started painting my nails in a clear coat. I thought this was strange because she hadn't done my mani yet, but it was my first time having a shellac change, and I thought it might just be a coat of protection since she had basically just filed off the top layer of my nails. But when she opened the color, I stopped her to ask when she was going to cut my nails and trim my cuticles. She said "Oh, I thought you just wanted a shellac change". I said "No, I asked for a shellac manicure." She told me that she would need to file my nails all over again to do that, and just stared at me. I was about to tell her to just do the paint and that I'd do my own manicure at home, but then she said she would do the manicure after the paint was done. In hindsight I should have just said no. She roughly cut my nails, then soaked my fingers in a bowl of water with no cuticle softener in it for about 15 seconds before doing a really quick, poorly executed cuticle trim. She then did a 30 second lotion rub on each arm, completely avoiding my hands. That was it. And I was charged for a shellac manicure instead of a shellac change over. I had to go home and fix my manicure by shaping my nails and filing down the rough sharp edges, and getting off all the little bits of cuticle that she left behind. The shellac mani costs $38 (including the $1 they charge anyone using a card to pay.) What I received was absolutely not with this price. I'll find a different salon from now on. read more

Good lawd! From the beginning things went wrong. The hot water at my chair didn't work so they had to boil water to add to the basin rather than switching my seat. The place is not very clean or tidy. Dirty towels overflow the garbage can. The pictures on the wall are off kilter. All the surfaces are a bit smarmy. The furnishings were worn thin. The football game was on--not my idea of a spa day. The massage chair was good and so was the deluxe pedi. But my daughter's French manicure was not even. Also we expected a $15 charge for her mani and they charged us $35. They failed to tell us they were upgrading her service. I live in the Seattle area plus my husband and I have an RV and travel. I have had many Pedicures all over. I have never been hurt or had an infection until I came here. The gal that did my pedicure was quite shaming. She told my nails we're in grown, dirty and that they needed to be cleaned every two weeks. While doing my nails she hurt me by digging too deep and hard. And three days later I'm still having a difficult time walking without it hurting. I recently had a poor set of nails put on elsewhere and needed them filled and fixed pretty badly they were prematurely lifted and chipping in areas. The tech (I wish I would have asked her name) did an amazing job, they look absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. The prices were not bad at all, for two fills with shellac it ran us $41 ea., which is great in comparison to some places and the quality is phenomenal. I will be returning, I do suggest making an appointment they were a little busy right at opening, but worth the wait for sure. I expressed my concerns about my last set from another salon and she said she could see the issues and would fix them (very wide tips, thick acrylic in places and my cuticles). I used to come to this place when I lived in yakima, the nail salon was very well put together and clean, I moved and came back for a family visit and I had thought to myself like wow.. I noticed that the people who used to work at that salon have switched locations although they all work together still. This salon looked like it needs some help, there was foil wrapped all over the drill base and each and every nail polish on the desk I was at was sooo clumpy and dried up the lid wasn't even able to close as to how dried and clumpy they were. She used a file that had already looked like it was used multiple times and just didn't like sanitary AT ALL. Honestly nothing looked sanitized. Now I normally don't ever leave bad reviews but I just felt like I needed to write this. I felt very rushed through my nail app, I like them thin but not too thin the lady said "if they break that's not my fault" as if I hadn't already known. This salon just looked unprofessional in there.. I felt like I couldn't even keep a conversation going. Not the best experience I've had. read more

The inside interior of number one nails looks very nice and professional. The lady working at the front desk was very friendly and polite she made signing in and getting me seated very easy. I was handed some color books to pick out my nail colors and given time to do so. I didn't need to do so because I already had a pattern that I wanted in mind. So I showed the nail tech the photo of a very simple black and white polkadot reminiscent pattern. The lady who would be doing my nails showed it to a few of her coworkers and some of them came over to look over the simple pattern. I was then informed that the price will go up to $80-$86 somewhere around that number. Because I thought that was a bit overpriced I decided to go with a solid color which brought the price down to 60 I believe. The process of getting these nails done did take a noticeable while longer then some other times I've gotten my acrylics done exactly the same. There was a lot of filing and a lot of small wounds created on my fingers but I've never really had a great experience with getting my acrylics done even though I've gotten them done countless times I've always came out with a few nicks on my fingers. So I brush that off as normal, the acrylics themselves seem strong and sturdy but a bit thick and chunky. Though they do you feel pretty stuck on my finger nails I still do have the fear that they may fall off faster than some others because these are a bit chunkier and heavier than others I've gotten even though they are the same length. When it came to painting I believe she did a very good job of painting them I do like the color but she helped me pick out and her application of the color. My only main problem with it is that she never put a base coat on my thumb. This is a bit baffling to me because I did question if she was positive that she already did one and she said that she had, even though I wasn't sure I trusted her because she's a nail artist and I am the customer. But I am a paying customer and what I'm paying for is a topcoat on all of my nails and I really do appreciate when my nails have a reliable topcoat on all 10 of them. Otherwise I'm quite happy with the outcome of my nails and the service provided to me. One observation I made is that there are a few of what seem to be reoccurring customers who have made acquaintances maybe possibly friends with their new artists which made the environment inside of the facility a bit warmer and more welcoming knowing that the other people getting their nails done felt able and comfortable to talk to their nail artists. If you're looking to get acrylics done and #1nails is close and easy to go to then maybe you could try it out but if it's not the first one you had in mind you might consider looking at some other nail places but I do believe that number one nails is a good place just maybe not my favorite. read more

Over charged for acrylic nails and shellac paint. Not a very good job either. Then on top of it gave me fungus. Which thankfully was only on my fake nail and didn't get to my real nails. It would be nice if these places would keep their appts or don't schedule them if you're not gonna keep them. I imagine I'm not the only person that feels this way. Then the lady didn't ask me what pedicure she just hurried through a basic one and clipped my toe nails in on side. Now I'll probably get an ingrown nail in those ones.
