Typically I would rate this place well because I've been coming here on and off for my nails spending around 100-140 sometimes and always leave a good tip for their time. I did start bringing y grandparents here recently just to get their feet done and would tip as well bc my grandparents were happy. Took my grandma in today to get her feet done around opening time and the lady was RUDE and unprofessional making my grandma feel embarrassed. I went over to get coffee and my grandma calls me upset. Saying the lady said to come back in two hours. I am busy on the weekends and try to make this easy. They started the water for my grandma and someone comes out the back saying they don't have time. If you don't have time for clients then don't be open plain and simple. Absolutely unprofessional. Will not be coming back any time soon or recommending this place again. read more

Was in town for a wedding; told them I wanted gels on my fingers and frenchie on my toes. Got the frenchie first; all good. Went to do my fingernails and the dude proceeded to cut everyone of my pretty long fingernails off to do a frenchie. No way of stopping him. He didn't even ask if i was doing frenchie on my fingers, just started chopping away. So disappointed and I HATE these nails. They are FLAT and I wear mine rounded. I can't pick up stickies or labels or any such thing at work because he butchered my nails. So disheartened and now I have to pay to have them fixed (i.e.: rounded, not squared). read more

Yesterday I came into West Valley Nails and got a full set of acrylics with a gel top coat. I called in prior to schedule the appointment, but it didn't seem to be an issue. They must have busier times. The place is very clean and nice. The nails look really nice, however they do have some small imperfections such as air bubbles and a small piece of dust caught - but this is true of all salons I've been too and no one is noticing it but me. I can't speak to the longevity of the nails yet, but will update later. I also observed a woman getting a pedicure and it looked really awesome. Her leg and foot massage lasted for longer than I've seen at other places. They also have massage chairs for the pedicure bowls, which is a great feature. read more

Love this place ! Been going here for years and it feels like family . They always remember me , my family , my story , etc. and give great pedicures . Tracy does great free hand art work if you want fancy and the place is clean . They do get busy ( the words gotten out ) so call ahead for an appointment or you might be disappointed. I've witnessed great customer service and also some truly rude people in there who are culturally insensitive so if you are a racist please go elsewhere as you ruin the vibe . Very friendly staff and clean nail salon. I got a pedicure ($25) and they really do it right here. The lady massaged my feet and legs for a while which was nice considering most places don't spend much time massaging. They finish it off with hot stones which I'd never had before and loved it. Also, they are open on Sundays from 11-5 which is a plus. I've definitely found my new go-to nail salon! read more

One of them men on staff here was very rude. I walked in with my daughter and asked if they could do 3 pedicures. The man said it would be a 15-20min wait. I told him we'd be right back, and he said OK. As we were walking out of the salon, to go right around the corner for coffee, I spoke into my watch and told Siri to set a timer for 13 mins. We spent right around 10mins at the coffee spot that was less than a 1 minute walk away. With our drinks in hand we began walking right back to the salon. About half way back, the 13 minute timer went off. Indicating that we definitely returned a little before the 15 minute mark. We walked in and sat down, waiting for our turn. A different staff member, female, asked us to pick out our color. We did so, and as we sat and waited, for an additional 20 mins, the man turns to me and says it will be another 40mins before he can get to us. I told him that we should be next, (as a few additional people had walked in as we were waiting) because he told me 15-20 mins. He proceeded to tell me that we had to wait the 40 mins, because we took too long to get back. He insisted that we had taken 30 mins to come back, so we had been bumped. I kindly said, no sir, that I know for a certainty, due to the timer that I had set upon walking out, that we hadn't taken anywhere near that long. He just wanted to lie, and argue, and insist he was right and we were wrong. If he had just admitted that he overlooked us, and that he would get to us as soon as he could, I would have been happy to wait the additional time. But because of his ugly attitude and overall rudeness, I highly recommend you go anywhere else! Any person that is too proud to admit that they're human and subject to error, is not a person I am willing to pay for any service, ever. maybe he was having a bad day, but based on the other Yelp reviews he just sucks at customer service and should really stick to "silently" going about his nail work, while letting someone else handle the business side; unless of course he sucks at nail work, too. read more

I actually really like this place! They are extremely clean and they give you your own kit to take home and bring back with you! They do not clean your nails with alcohol but I am not sure why they use it for. I always take my own polish! I will be coming back, if my pedi lasts a whole week! read more

I read the good reviews and went to get a fill and a pedicure for myself and my mom. They didn't communicate well with us. The water for the pedicure was cold. They didn't push the cuticles back or really scrub the dead rough skin off our feet. There was no exfoliating scrub. They didn't clean the nails with alcohol before polishing. I had brought my own polish and jewels to have applied. The pedicure was so bad that I didn't get my fill done. My mother who walks with a cane wasn't helped at all and her legs were thrown around. Worst 55 dollars I have spent. Will not go back. read more

I got shellac on my nails for my birthday & I loved them. That day though, I chipped one off. I went with my mom to re-do that nail the next day & they were so rude. I came in, & they knew I was just there yesterday. They have trouble with communication. They were telling me to sit down but I didn't know she was talking to me. She then rudely yells for me to sit down. I was shocked. The lady was talking to me about how that she saw me here yesterday. She was speaking Chinese to her friends & laughing at me. "She's only had them on for one day!" is what she said in English & the rest was Chinese & laughter. It was hard for me to understand them & she looked so annoyed & just done with me. I came here with my little sister a while ago. She had won a gift certificate at an event. We walked in to see everyone sitting down and on their phones. My little sister asked if they could do her nails and we were rudely told no, and that they don't do walk ins. There was literally a sign on the door saying walk-ins welcome. They were doing nothing else but sitting there. So we left. And tried making an appointment for the next day. We got her in and my mom took her to the appointment. When they got home her cuticles were sliced in a few spots, but it's not like we could of refused to pay them because we had a certificate. If you're looking to get spoiled, this isn't the place. They aren't friendly, don't speak English, the massage is kind of rough, and the heel shaving has left me bleeding a couple times. I went to get a new shellac manicure. Removing shellac is usually not an issue elsewhere, but they removed it with the spinning file instead of the standard acetone soak. I have extremely strong and healthy nails, but this made them so weak and almost painful. Then they took forever to actually do the the manicure, working two nails at a time in and out of the UV, which they kept on the entire time, putting on several coats, which always causes the polish to peel and look terrible after a week. This was by far the worst shellac manicure I've ever had. read more

I will find a better place for the money. The massage has decreased every time, and they pick hard at your toes with that nipper thing, which is not exactly pleasant. Save your money and go somewhere else! I went here to get a shellac manicure last week and it was a total let down. I came in with shellac already on, which has never been a problem anywhere else I have been. Instead of doing the regular acetone soak, the used that crazy spinning dremel file to remove my polish. I already have really weak nails, which is why I do shellac, and it made my nails painfully thin. To boot, they charged me an extra $5 for the removal! They barely shaped my nails and made them crooked. Once they were finished with the shellac polish I noticed it was painted clear beyond my cuticle and was a blobby mess. Needless to say I went home and removed my polish the right way. Huge waste of $30! I'll continue my search for a decent mani in Yakima! read more

Haven't received care and attention at a nail salon in a very long time. Will definitely be going back. Will schedule it next time so I can make sure they have time to fit me in. They accept walk-ins but I would recommend calling first. But once I walked in at 5:15 in the afternoon there was two customers and two workers they told me that they didn't have time for a nail take off and a full set.
