The women's bathroom has no toilet paper and the one I asked to replaced was left outside and fell on the floor and was wet. That's not OKAY! I've been to this spot a few times at night for drinks, but came back for lunch and was really impressed with the food, flavorful, fresh, and so well prepared. The Brazilian chef, Andrea, is truly wonderful! The place also looks great with its updated décor and is super clean. Went to watch the Portugal vs Colombia game. We waited over 1 hour. We ordered the food with our first drink as soon as the waiter came over and then 1 hour later the food was still not delivered. We kept seeing other tables foods be brought to the table, and then when we inquired he said he would check. Then 15 min later we asked again if he had checked and he said "I'll check now." I asked at the bar and he finally came back to the table and said "something must have gone wrong." We kept asking, and then the food never came. At one point we asked if he even put in the food and he just blankly said "NO". The owner came to our table and started by saying a story about how the cook went to the hospital. We are very sympathetic, but this could have been communicated so much earlier. And it felt like he was just trying to excuse the situation without an honest apology. We will not be back and do not recommend this place, and this was a place we frequented for all sporting events. FYI, the food never came during the 90+ min game! read more

We live super close to this place and are within walking distance, so this is a perfect spot to have a few drinks since we don't have to drive. I personally have never had a bad experience with service, security, or food quality here. They usually play pretty good music and have quite a few people in there even on a weekday because they have great deals! $1 tacos (chicken, steak, or pork) and $5 margs (any flavor) on Tuesdays - Can't beat that! The tacos are pretty small but delicious and we can usually taste a good amount of alcohol in the margs. We also got their Buffalo chicken quesadilla once which was about $10 and delicious. I would recommend coming here for taco Tuesday because it really makes for a great & cheap experience. I will say they charge a credit card fee so I recommend paying with cash if you can. Also no parking lot, but street parking in that area usually Isn't too hard to find. read more

I really enjoyed myself here. Came for a quick drink before back to NY. Immediately upon entering someone came over to us-- we ordered a couple drinks and I needed something to eat because I wasn't going to stay long. I went with Mozzarella Sticks and Onion Rings. Everything came out very promptly and then we decided to have serval shots before I departed. They had soccer on every tv, which I thought at least one bar could have had the baseball game, but no big deal. They had music on in the background, which you could hear while not drowning out the sound from the tv. I will definitely return here in the future. They recently changed management once again. From what I heard management has changed a few times over the last couple of years. Upon my most recent visit under new management, I was pleased with this bar. Bartenders were very friendly, and they appeared to still be working out their daily happy hour specials. They had Taco Tuesday last Tuesday and it was about $5 for 3 large tacos which tasted great. I believe they plan to have wing specials on Wednesdays, but the bartender told me they were still working out the details. Under their old management, music was all pop music, but they played a little classic rock during my recent visit too. Its also still a sports bar with televisions all throughout the bar. I definitely think they have potential under the new management. read more

Food: has come along way now that they are under new management. Service: it can get very busy during the Hanes on the weekend; but the staff works very hard for you have a good experience. Ambiance: nice stop during the week, for specials and happy hour. There's always great music whether the DJ is there or the staff playlist. I love that we are able to watch the videos that belong to the music being played. Versus most place they do not coordinate. From the service to the food, this place is complete garbage. Gave it one star because a rating was necessary, but even 1 star is a reach. Waiter never used a note pad but clearly needed one, the entire order was wrong. The "food" that came out of the kitchen was absolutely terrible. Nobody asked why you barely touched your food, but they're quick to charge you for it. I used to come here before and it was a place you'd get decent food, a drink and a game, now I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE. It's a shame this place has taken such a turn for the worse. Let me start by saying I've been going to 1 Republik for years and always had a great experience, that changed tonight. Came here to watch the games and sat at a high top. Our waitress never approached us to ask if we wanted drinks or food, we had to flag her down to ask for menus and to order a drink. My beer was flat and I wanted to tell her but she was nowhere to be found, so I had to go to the bartender to ask for something else. My boyfriend ordered a beer, she came came back to say they were out, he ordered something else and it took over 15 minutes to get. We heard her yell she was going home after being spoken to by the manager and she looked overwhelmed. My boyfriend ordered a second beer she never brought so he had to go to the bar for it. I wanted to order another drink but she never came back. We did order food and that came out with no problem and it was very good. After we ate we wanted to leave, the experience was causing us to not be able to enjoy the games. We waited to see if the waitress would return so we could get the check but she was nowhere to be found, I thought maybe she did go home. We got the check from the bartender to pay. I ran to the bathroom prior to leaving to find her in there chatting on the phone. We were planning to go back this Thursday to celebrate a birthday but we will go to another spot. read more

Food was good but honestly since I couldn't get over how bad the service was, it wasn't enough to make me change my opinion. First of all, I don't want to be so rude because I also work in this type of business, but wow, I don't know how to start. They took too long to ask us for our order and the place wasn't that busy. The food looked poorly made, even one hamburger had the bottom part of the bun on both sides. The meat smelled bad. In order to try to eat something we ordered wings and that dish never arrived. The server just took the plates without asking what happened and why both didn't ate, he wasn't interested to do a good service, The beers were warm, I mean, there was no satisfaction on either side. It seems strange to me because I had visited that place before. I imagine they are changing the entire staff and that hasn't been good for them. I hope they improve their potential. Had a very good time at this spot. I used to go to one in Hoboken years ago and it was nice to find it again. I'm always around the area, my colleague and I wanted to meet up for a drink and we needed to find a spot that would meet us half way through. The waitress was really nice, food was good, tasty. I've been here several times and it is a cool bar to hang out in and watch sports. They have several TVs around the bars and when I was there for a fight they had additional projectors scroll down from the bar so there are screens everywhere. The food is good and green tea shots are yummy. The apple martini is very sweet so if you're not into that I do not recommend it. The other drinks are all good. Will definitely go back. read more

Round the clock providing us with amazing customer service, refilling our drinks without us asking, making sure we were good. I came to 1 Republik on a whim with some friends around 9pm on a Saturday night. Yankee game was on so it was packed! Place was hoppin. It definitely has a fun atmosphere especially for a local bar. Plenty of TVs to watch and ample seating. We ordered some beers and some apps. You can expect typical bar food here, nothing amazing. We had some chicken fingers, buff chick dip, and a chicken quesadilla. Everything was just as you would imagine it to be - fine lol Everything came out hot which was a plus. The service was also just fine - our waitress could have been more attentive. Our food got a little screwed up but it wasn't worth it to try and complain. I find this place to be a "to go" spot when in town and looking for somewhere to hang, eat, listen to a variety of music while in enjoying the view of their multiple tv screens. The food can take a bit longer then average. This is due to the fact that the food is freshly cooked. You're not getting microwaved food and/or chain food restaurant meals. Their loaded waffle fries are superb! Security at the door is always friendly and yet doing their job. ID is checked and scanned. I like the fact that I don't need to open a tab for a minimum amount of spending. So for those who just want to come in for a drink and an appetizer, this is def a place to check out. read more

Came here on a date for some drinks on a Friday night. The place was a little busy, but there was plenty of seating, not including the bar, that was filled up. It would appear they check IDs at the door, but there was no one at the door. The bouncer asked for them while our waitress was seating us. We ordered some beer and shots which came out fast, but my Blue Moon didn't taste anything like a Blue Moon so I don't know what that was about. The drinks for the rest of the night tasted right. Our waitress was great, always nearby to get our drinks or food order. We ordered the loaded fries which were sooo disgustingly wonderful. She gave us complimentary shots too which is always nice. At one point in th evening they asked if we would mind moving so they could push tables together for a 6 person party coming in. We said sure, we didn't mind, and moved like one table over. The party they gave our table to, 3 ppl....?? They have a DJ that plays really good music, but there's no dance floor or anywhere to move, so it seems a little odd to have such a loud DJ at the bar. What a fun place. Went here on a Wednesday night and it was Bingo night. Now don't make a face. This is a younger sports bar but the staff was so friendly, age didn't matter. Lots of screens for sports and above average bar food at a reasonable price. Different specials for each day of the week. Skirt steak was tender and cooked well. Presentation was as a rose. Came with mashed but I got double string beans that were cooked crisp. Lobster roll was tasty considering this isn't New England. Fries were spicy with red pepper flavor. Bang bang shrimp lightly battered in sweet chili sauce (no tails) Fried Oreos has potential. Light tempura batter but fried in old oil. Everyone gets 1 bingo board for 7 or so free games. This place is RACIST. I came with a group of 6 and spent over $200 on drinks and food. This random bouncer told us we needed to leave 5 mins after receiving our last drinks. We obviously weren't done the drinks since we just got them but he kept demanding that we leave despite the fact that other tables were still there and not leaving. The only difference between the two tables is that we were people of color vs the other tables not being asked to leave that were not people of color. I will never come back here again read more
