First time at J's and it will not be the last. Great vibe and great food. We had tacos and quesadillas. Again, we'll be back very soon.

We love this place. They have great happy hour specials and staff who are there to honor the deals and give you a fun experience. Nothing worse than walking into a bar because of an advertised deal and the bartender charging you full price because they didn't know anything about the deal. That doesn't happen here which is huge!!! They have multiple TVs and seating areas, which make it perfect for watching sports. Drinks are great and food is delicious. We love the chicken quesadilla and wings. The espresso martini was surprisingly good. We love their drink pitchers as well. Overall you can tell they care about the community, and want to offer a reliable and fun experience in an area that doesn't have too many bars like this. We have returned multiple times since the first time because we love the consistency, fun events, and friendly staff. The only thing they could improve on is the music. When there's a DJ, it's a great night, but when it's up to Touch Tunes there's room for improvement. We still will return whenever we are looking for a good time!

They had a DJ play music the whole fight card except for the last main match. I mean, they should just have him play between rounds or something. The pork sliders were cold too but the server was good and consistent throughout the night with cold beers.

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much when I ordered the Manhattan on their menu. And while they use a maraschino cherry vs. a luxardo, which is typically a telltale sign of quality, it was a really good drink -- not overly sweet or sharply boozy. The food was also solid. They offer your regular bar food like wings, mozzarella sticks, and burgers, but also salads made with actual mixed greens and not just iceberg lettuce. Their fries were good, as well as the quesadilla, chicken fingers and steak salad (although crazy spicy so beware). The bartenders were so friendly, it must be a good place to work. I loved the retro atmosphere, and will be back to sit out on the patio next time!

It was pretty dead for a Thursday night, but I was not complaining as it meant. We got served faster! I loved all the Christmas decorations they had up and that they had space for a band. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay for the bands performance tonight. My dad ordered a chicken Parm dinner which he said he really enjoyed. I ordered a chipotle burger, but I'm not sure that's what I received. The burger I got had onions and what I think was American cheese. There was no chipotle taste to it. It was delicious nonetheless though so I would be interested to see you with the chipotle burger itself tasted like. I was also disappointed that they did not have the death seat burger. Apparently they only serve it once a month on Wednesdays and you have to look on Instagram for one that is. I shall go back for that one day.

The reason I give it 3 stars is because I don't think they've ever gotten my food order 100% right. They make a tasty burger, but they always forget at least one requested topping on the burger. The menu says "lettuce, tomato, and onion on request" and even though I always request all three, I never get all three. If I ask for a different kind of cheese, I get American anyway. A lot of the time my receipt will have all of my requests on it, but the burger doesn't match. Also, they seem to have downgraded their onion rings. The old ones were awesome and were a major selling point for me as an onion ring enjoyer. The new onion rings remind me of Burger King. Overall solid spot with a nice Irish pub vibe. Waitresses are mostly cool and friendly.

It's got that cool gastro-pub feel where you can sip a cocktail at noon and no one judges you, in fact, they encourage it. Now let's talk about the real star of the show: the Breakfast Burrtios! We ordered them, and let me tell you, this wasn't some dainty little wrap. This was a full on, two hands required, no talking for five minutes situation. Packed with all the breakfast essentials and wrapped up like a gift to humanity, it was hearty, flavorful, and exactly what brunch dreams are made of. Every bite basically said, "You made the right decision today." The rest of the menu has all the brunch classics with a fun twist, and everything coming out of the kitchen looked like it deserved its own photoshoot. The drinks were flowing, the crowd was buzzing, and the whole place had that contagious weekend energy. If you're looking for a brunch spot in Belleville that delivers great food, good vibes, and a breakfast burrito that might require a post meal nap, The Whiskey Priest is your place. I did have one of the wings and unfortunately, it was a bit too salty for me. However, the tacos made up for the dissatisfaction in wings.
