This is the main convention center in New York City. I have been here several times for New York…read moreComic Con and New York Marathon events. It is very large center with many rooms. If anyone else has been here for Comic Con you know how spread out it is and how many people can fit here. It is much easier to get to now with the seven train connecting to midtown. Before you had to get off at the one train and walk all the way which was a pain. It is connected to the building next door which has five floors of available space. All the rooms were booked with meetings and performances. I love the large space to walk around and enjoy the conventions. The only downside is the food prices here. It costs around $20 for a sandwich and $5 for a coffee. It is unfortunate but you have to pay the high prices in order to eat. Otherwise you have to go out and walk around to find a nearby restaurant which defeats the purpose to begin at the convention.

The new large screen for the FIFA games has really added something special. Seeing people gathered together watching Switzerland play Colombia, cheering for their teams and enjoying the excitement of the game, made the whole place feel alive. I also noticed the new games and activities for both children and adults, which is such a nice touch. It makes the Winter Garden feel even more welcoming and gives families, friends, and visitors another reason to spend time there. What I love most about this place is how it changes with every event and season. The beautiful palm trees create such a unique atmosphere, and I've enjoyed coming here for The Nutcracker during the holidays, the Lunar New Year celebrations, and many times simply to relax and spend time with family and friends. Every visit feels different. The surrounding area makes it even better. Having places like Le District nearby, along with cafés and shops offering crêpes, ice cream, coffee, and pastries, makes it easy to stay and enjoy the experience. The mix of restaurants, cafés, and stores, including luxury shops like Louis Vuitton, adds to the feeling that there is always something new to discover. A big thank you to the staff and everyone who works behind the scenes to make these experiences happen. Their effort is what helps create such a welcoming place where people can come together. The Winter Garden in my opinion is more than just a beautiful space. It's a place where people make memories, whether they are visiting from around the world or simply stopping by after work.

As a venue, it's classy and chic. From the perspective of an event planner, it's several months of work. The empty whiteness needs to be color lit, the audio needs to be set up and stretched to the far corners of the room and the ground needs something to un-hinge it from the wall and add dimension. Furniture needs to be brought in, electricians, and coat closet workers. The beauty is both in the simplicity of the space, and the amount of imagination (and $$$) to execute a really fantastic event or show here.

The gathering was fabulous, a cocktail party with a runway show that included special guest and great supporter Kimora Lee Simmons. The venue is a wide, clean space with high ceiling. A space that can be transformed for whatever event you are planning to have. The facility even has a kitchen for any catering or on-site entertaining needs. I was blown away with the setup JustFab had. A beautiful back drop, a runway with stage, white sofas on each side for VIP guest, three (3) bars, photo booths, a step and repeat, so much going on but the best part was the all white linen fitting rooms to try on our FREE new jeans... That's right, they gave us all free jeans from their new collection to take home. Fabulous event in fabulous venue, makes for a justfab time ;) Look into this space for your next event.

I booked this venue for my daughter's first birthday party (for October) back in February…read more(pre-COVID). My contract was for 80-100 people. Due to NYC restrictions, they were only able to accommodate 50 people. I asked them for a discount since I had to cut my guest list, but they denied me. They told me that people were still booking their venue with the same rate and I said, "yes because they are aware of the 50-ppl cut off, but I booked this venue BEFORE COVID hit." Then, I asked if they can provide free decor, they said no that I needed to pay for it. They were not easy to work with AT ALL. The day of the event, one of their green backdrop decor was there and even though I bought my own, I said if it was available, I will use it. They said it was being used for another party - but they moved it to the bar area instead!!! So, because I didn't rent it, they just moved it by the bar area instead of letting me use it?? How petty? After screwing me with this contract as it is, they couldn't let me use a decor that was NOT being utilized? They are so money hungry and need a lesson in customer service. I booked the venue from 11AM-6PM. I was not allowed to decorate prior to 11AM but they started kicking out my guests at 4:30PM to set up for the NEXT party. Why are they setting up for the next party on MY PAID TIME? On top of that, their workers were moving around high stacks of chairs with toddlers running around. How unsafe is that? My guests felt bad for me and was angry with how the party ended. I wanted a nice first birthday for my daughter, especially going through this rough year with my husband (who is in healthcare) having to move away from us for 5 months. This party was the unnecessary stress that I did not need on top of everything else. It ended with people feeling bad for me. I will never recommend using this venue to anyone. I am giving them one star because their venue is pretty spacious. Other than that, I am extremely disappointed.

The entrance is a bit dodgy, you walk in and there's a few transparent cloth curtains that guests must push through and then a stairwell. If there hadn't been a women waiting at the top to literally just point us downstairs we might've turned on our heels in confusion. It's annoying though when doing events to lose a volunteer to "stair direction" duty. Once on the main floor there's a convenient little hallway to check in and a nook for coat check and all this opens on the "main room" which I have to say wasn't all that large. It could hold maybe 250-300 max standing like sardines I'd say. There's a bar against the wall which is divine but that room got so hot and stuff so quickly while the hallways stayed nice and brisk even though the doors were open between the two. Overall it's an okay space for a conference or something where people are coming in and out but other than that it's pretty much a windowless basement with white walls and hardwood floors. There's more interesting venues to be had in NYC.

Yes, there was always a long wait at the two bars (there were five bartenders between two bars to serve about 300+ people), but the drinks they made were extremely strong (another reviewer complained about this!?) so that made up for it, and to give the bartenders credit, they were hauling a-- all night long, so they did their best. The crowd itself was pleasant and young-ish, but no one was really a mess or too loud or obnoxious. The venue wasn't too crowded either. It seemed that 300 people was just right for the size. My sole complaints would be the sound system being pretty weak/low, and that the New Year's Eve countdown was virtually non-existent. No TVs broadcasting it, just the DJ counting down from 10!? Kinda weird! As for the venue, it's... the basement of Coffee Shop. Yeah, now you know. So it looks like a basement, feels like a basement, is weirdly maze-like and yes, I did think to myself "Oh god... Happy Land fire... This place is a death trap." The rooms are fine but any pleasant effect definitely came from the lighting and decorations. I can't see having a wedding here as the most interesting thing about each of the spaces is the bars, but to each his own. Back to the New Year's Eve event, I paid $100 for my ticket and would I go again... Yeah, probably. Take it or leave it, actually... But at least they were making the drinks (very) strong!
