Incompetence and time-wasters…read more I bought from MCAS on many occasions, every purchase was unsatisfactory. I had to call them on multiple occasions to understand where my order was and wait weeks to see shipped items that they had in stock. The reason for this review is related to my last experience. I`ve called MCAS in Auburn to check if they had in stock, in the shop, a specific article (Dainese Scout 2 Gloves). They confirmed that they had it in stock and I agreed to go to the shop for the pick-up. After spending 45 minutes in the traffic and arrived in the store, MCAS staff told me that the item is in stock in the system but they don`t know where in the shop, inviting me to have a look (9.00 am - shop empty). After 20 minutes, begging for some help given the mess in the area where the gloves are exposed, they simply told me that the item is probably not available. Don`t get me wrong, it can happen, but if I link this experience to the previous ones is easy to understand when I think to MCAS is simple to associate the idea of "Incompetence and time-wasters". I will never buy again from them I will recommend doing so to all my friends... just avoid them.
I feel bad having to write this review because most of the staff I spoke to were absolute champs…read morewho love their motorcycles and were very happy to help. However the experience I had in buying a new battery was like something out of a movie. I had to buy a new battery for my motorbike. This place has everything or could order in everything which was needed for a motorcycle. I went there and discovered that they didn't have my battery in stock. They tried to sell me upgraded batteries (i.e. acid gel and lithium) but I wasn't ready to buy an acid gel battery and the new $40 charger needed to charge it and the lithium, I was told, might damage my bike as it was an older model (1991 to be exact). After quick drop around at a few different auto stores, I soon learned that MCA had my battery at the cheapest price. 40% of the cost of some stores, wow! I called up and found out that I was able to order it in, I then was told that they could not order stock over the phone as all ordered items must be paid for beforehand. Trip number two to the MCA Supermarket. I went in and ordered my battery, after they tried to sell to me the more costly acid gel and lithium batteries again. I was halfway out of the exit when I realised that I hadn't paid for it. The one thing that had stopped me from making the order over the phone. I went back and was informed by the staff that items that are ordered are paid for on pickup only, not before hand... OKAAAY! Good news, the battery came in two days (super quick shipping, thumbs up for that). Trip number three. I went in to pickup and pay for it and they couldn't find it at first. It had been placed in the holding section without any labeling, so I was lucky that no one else bought it instead. I'll keep coming back here as it has the best prices, largest range, and most helpful staff; but holy-cow that felt like such an unnecessary experience.

If you have been on James Ruse Drive then you will know about this place. If not, you probably live under a rock :P I find it hilarious that Repco and Super Cheap Auto are located right beside each other. On the weekend i went back and fourth at least twice between the two store so I could compare prices. Staff at Repco are very helpful and are happy to answer most of your car related questions. The store layout is very organised so you wont trip over anything! For oil filters you will need to go to the back of the store, tell the guy what type of car you have and he will get the filter for you. Compare this to Super Cheap where you have to read a book/manual to find the type of filter yourself. Customer service at Repco..tick. Knowledgeable staff , easy to find products and good prices.
This is a review on my recent purchase from Penrith City Motors and the subsequent customer service…read moreI received after my purchase. I have been trying to buy a number of Smart Cars for a promotion that we were running, so I had a strict guidelines to follow in what I wanted... Penrith City Motors Advertised a 2006 Smart Fortwo Sequential Auto..... Ok that didn't cover what I needed, the cars can be no older than 2007 on the date of compliance (this was for finance reasons) so I phone the salesman and he assured me that the date of compliance was indeed Jan 2007, he also confirmed that the Car was a Sequential Automatic. Great.... Now the car was low mileage 65,000 and advertised as good condition, so I asked the salesman to confirm this and he assured me that the car was in-fact in excellent condition with very low ks... The car was in Sydney I live in Hervey Bay shipping cost was going to be $850 so we agreed to have the car shipped to Brisbane for $350 and I would collect it from Brisbane... I collected the car from a waste yard on fisherman's Island ks from anywhere, only to find that it had 1 ltr of fuel, (Smart Cars actually tell you how much fuel they have by the litre). And on closer inspection I found that the car wasn't a Sequential Automatic but a Sequential Manual. (A Sequential Manual means that YOU MUST change the gears yourself without the use of a clutch, Sequential Automatic means that you can drive the car as a full Automatic without having to change gears) The lady that was going to drive this car only has one arm and has So I had bought an Automatic and got a Manual, Ok what else is wrong with the car... The passenger's window did not work.... Both remote mirrors did not work correctly The washers did not work The radio did not work The overall appearance of the car and the feel of the car was best describe as "tired" if it had only done 65,000k then they were 65,000 hard ks..... So I stopped there, Ok they have made a mistake and sold me the wrong car, I'll go home and we'll get this sorted... So I wrote to them explaining that they have Sold me an Automatic and in fact delivered a Manual..... Response.... Absolutely Nothing...... So I wrote again..... Response Absolutely Nothing..... So I wrote a third time, this time however I threatened to go to NSW fair trading.... Response Absolutely Nothing.... Ok Fine.... NSW Fair Trading will sort this out.... Or will they... Spoke to a George Galea Automotive Inspector Motor Vehicle Services Unit Customer Services Division Fair Trading NSW Their response:- yea spoken to Penrith City Motors they say "you knew it was a manual when you bought it......" But I didn't, i bought a Automatic it even says on the Invoice Automatic..... and that is what I bought..... Yea.... they are saying you knew it was a Manual... Best bet is to take them to court, I can't do anything else.... But if I take them to court it's going to cost me a lot of money and a lot of time.... Yea..... that's why dealers get away with it, because people don't bother.... Then what's your job, if not to look out for my rights.... Sorry, I can advise you only... I'll send you a link to NCAT Good day... Well so much for having the law on my side, go to a dealer as they have strict guidelines that they must adhere to.... Bullsh*t.... So I could take them to court ....eventually.... and get my money back...but what about:- Delivery cost... Finance Broker Costs Credit Company Costs Settlement Fee Costs All the time spent on this.... So whatever way it was going to cost me and cost me dear.... So that is why I am warning you not to make the same mistake as I did..... NEVER buy a car from Penrith City Motors over the internet, because you never know what you will get.....
