We discovered a gas leak at the meter near the ground. We called Atmos (assuming they would fix at…read moreno charge - hahaha). Monday afternoon they removed the meter and said they would return with new one after we fixed the leak. So, no hot water, no heat, no gas stove (no hot shower). Started calling Plumbers Monday night and found a company that answered their phone and scheduled themselves to come out early Tuesday morning (fitting me into an already busy schedule). This company did it all! They pulled the city permit, dug up pipe, replaced pipe that had almost completely rusted thru and then tested the line. The test showed other leaks so they would have to come back (fit me in their schedule) to look for leak. They came back tuesday night and here until 7:30 pm. And back again next day. Found leaks in gas cook top, laundry room and one of the furnaces in the attic. They capped off all other future potential issues and then contacted city to come for inspection and worked with Atmos to come once we passed the inspection. All in all this company was excellent to work with, highly skilled, extremely thorough and great at communicating every step of the way! 10 or 10 from me!! I highly recommend: Thorough Plumbing 1314 W. McDermont Dr. Allen Texas 75013 844-933-5874 Jeff Baty

When out water heater died last year, I asked Jeff if he would install a better quality water…read moreheater, so I wouldn't have to replace it in 10 yrs, so he chose a 12 yr parts and 2yr labor warranty Rheem with lots of bells and whistles. It didn't even last a year before the heating element cracked... When I reached out, no one responded for a week, before I could get someone out to just come and access it. Upon inspection it was the heating element that had cracked. Rheem had them on back order, so Jeff's colleague, Antonio researched and found a replacement element, that was available the next day and made every effort to get our water heater repaired asap, before the weekend. Antonio is responsive, professional and helps in a timely manner. Jeff didn't respond for a week. We were without hot water for 10 days! The water heater never got to the set temperature of 129°, it would only get to 102°, which I don't feel sanitizes my dishes and clothes. Fast forward to less than 2 weeks later and the water heater stopped heating entirely again! I reached out to Jeff on Thursday (6/25) and still haven't heard a word from him. Thankfully, I have Antonio's contact info, as he actually is responsive and responds within minutes. My issue is I reported it not heating last Thursday, this go round, the part has to be ordered and they don't know how long it will be before it gets here. I call BS, as I ran a maintenance and construction company for 17yrs and I know all of the verbal jargon used by vendors to delay repairs/replacement of parts... I've heard them all... So we're on day 6 without hot water and no idea how much longer we're going to be without a hot shower, hot water to wash dishes or our clothes! So extremely frustrating! Save your money and find a better plumber!

I have been doing business with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for decades. You name the issue or…read moreservice, and they have been my trusted go-to provider. My most recent experience was the installation of a new hot-water heater in April 2025, which cost $3,000. The initial installation failed the City of Allen code inspection, so the plumber had to return--and the code department had to revisit--before the installation could be approved. This morning (Saturday, July 19, 2025), I discovered I had no hot water. I climbed into the attic and found that the pilot light had gone out. I attempted to relight it myself but was unsuccessful. When I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, the representative I spoke with was both arrogant and dismissive. I was told I would have to wait until Monday for service. When I asked about my warranty, I was informed it had no bearing on their scheduling. I expressed my dissatisfaction with her attitude and asked to speak with her manager. The manager then agreed to make an exception and try to fit me in today. It appears that warranty work is treated as a lower priority than paid service calls. I plan to reevaluate my relationship with this company--I do not appreciate being treated with such disrespect. I'm sure there are other firms that place greater value on long-term clients. Friday morning 7/25/25 Art came out on Tuesday of this week to inspect the issue with the pilot light. He was here something like 20 minutes and spent 17 of those minutes lecturing me about attic ventilation. I found him to be something of a cross beteween passive-aggressive and pompus. I advised that I had the soffit vents relaced two years ago at a cost of about a thousand dollars. I reminded him that this new Rheem replaced another 10 year old Rheem and the pilot light in the replaced water heater was fine. Art did point out that a "fan box" would help a lot and I went out and bought a $200.00 Ryobi wind tunnel from Home Depot and put it in the attic. So imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning with NO hot water. I think these people have sold me a "bad bill of goods".

My husband had tried to fix the issue but this issue was a little tricky. Alan came to our rescue was knowledgeable and kept us informed of everything he was doing and how that would fix the problem. I can't say enough good things about Trident plumbing. I recently had to replace my pressure…read moreregulator valve and contacted a few plumbers to get estimates and time frames. Trident had availability when I need them and their price was fair. Vlad and his assistant (my apologies I forgot the assistant's name) were the plumbers assigned to my job; They were both professional and courteous. Vlad explained what they were going to do and got quickly to work on replacing the valve. They worked tirelessly digging up and removing the old valve. Despite the heat and humidity they were happily working together to replace the valve and even dealt with interruptions from my son who was very curious about the work taking place outside of his window. They answered his questions and didn't seem annoyed by his curiosity. Once the job was complete Vlad showed me the new valve and explained how to operate it, he also explained the invoice and asked if I had any questions. I don't know much about plumbing, but the quality of the work looked top notch. They cleaned everything up and I couldn't even tell anyone had been in my flower bed. I was really impressed. Lastly, the inspector for the city of Frisco came out to inspect the job and even commented on how clean and professional the new installation was. I highly recommend Trident plumbing and I will use them for all of my future plumbing needs. I was happy with the entire process; I didn't feel like I was being upsold or overcharged for the work. Everything was explained and the work was preformed in a professional manner. Well done!

Hello, We used Trident Plumbing out of Frisco Texas for a slab leak detection during our home…read moresale. The quality of testing was terrible and our follow up requests for support was worse. Trident detected two leaks under the house. One leak they detected was 7 feet away from the actual leak and the other was 21 feet away from where they detected. Because we used their recommendations on access points and measurements we went into the slab in the garage to fix one and tore apart one of our bathrooms to access the other. Based on the actual locations we could have gone in from the exterior of the house. Their errors cost us an extra $5,700 in plumbing cost, more than $900 in bathroom repair and alot of work and time. Each time we followed up with Trident to discuss the situation we were treated very poorly. I also sent them emails with no follow up. Thomas Bates and Brian Brunner miss handled the situation. Follow Up to Response Below: I guess I can't respond to your response below but I can edit my initial comment. 1) We hired you for a leak detection and your leak detection was completely wrong. As a licensed plumber I expected quality work as I would with any licensed professional. The very experienced licensed master plumber we hired to do the digging and repair thought he could rely on your detection as well. 2) Your price per foot to dig was much higher thus we would have had a larger outlay of cash if we went with you to do the work. Furthermore, given the quality of your work, in hindsight I am thankful we did not use you. 3) Obviously you care more about your online reviews than you do your customers because this has been going on since December with no adequate response from you and yet you respond to my Yelp comment within a couple hours.
