The contact guy behind the desk who answers the phone thinks he's clever and funny....not. They had our camper for more than four months yet most of what we needed done had not been accomplished. Mistake was to put money upfront. Once money was in hand they put us on the backburner. We missed several camping opportunities because of the poor service. They initially estimated the entire job would take 2-3 weeks. We did not add to there work load after having left our camper there. The person we talked with while getting our unfinished camper out of their facility was drinking beer and tried to hide it. He had an open ice chest with beer in it behind his desk. There are plenty of other legit RV repair outfits in this area...you do not need the headaches these clowns will give you.

"How soon can you get this person to get pre approved so they feel committed" Okay fine, let's talk numbers so that when I do get serious, and take my business elsewhere, I know what kinda of approval I can get. Our seller disappears for 30 minutes, this is where it gets good. Okay we're leaving, but wait now suddenly he has numbers. Except there's a catch. "I'm sorry but the trailer we ran numbers on got sold, but what I could do is collect a $1,000 deposit incase that deal falls though, you're next in line to get it" I'm thinking... did this person, as a man, just ask me to give him $1,000 for a sold trailer. Are you out your mind Get a grip mate. Advice to management: Discovery goes a long way, listen to your buyers. Here I'll even give you some templates: - How long have you been shopping for a trailer? - What type of trailer are you looking for? - Is it important for it to have central AC? - is solar important? - do you need one with bunk beds or no? - what would be your ideal floor plan? - how often do you go camping? In hindsight I should have asked for more because I've spent countless hours trying to figure out the source of the leaks. I'm sorry I trusted them. I took my truck in and the "techs" installed the tie rods incorrectly -- literally backwards. This could've turned into a serious or even fatal problem if I hadn't caught it myself. I called the shop explaining my truck was driving incorrectly and something felt off. Instead of taking responsibility or trying to help immediately, the owner told me to bring it back in 5 days because they were "fully booked" and had no time to look at it. Very disappointing experience overall. Poor workmanship, poor customer service, and safety clearly isn't a priority here.

BUYER BEWARE So,…read more I needed an ECU for my 2003 GMC Diesel. This is a discontinued part, so I called around to multiple wrecking yards in the Bay Area with no avail. I finally called Santa Clara Truck and low and behold they had one. I was surprised/excited they had one in stock, as the only other one I was able to find was in Roseville. I went down to San Martin (SC Truck moved from Santa Clara to San Martin), picked up the ECU, and took it to the dealership to have it programmed/installed. I get a call from the dealership later that evening stating that the ECU was not communicating properly, and that it had some sort of internal defect. I was a little disappointed, but it is what it is, as I knew I was taking a chance buying it from a wrecking yard. The next day I take it back to Santa Clara Truck to return it. The guy at the counter (I believe may be the owner) says it's going to be a 25% restocking fee. Mind you, there is nowhere in the office that states anything about a "restocking fee". I asked, so you're telling me that you are going to charge me a 25% restocking fee for a defective part. He said yes and tried to change the subject by saying, "if you didn't give us the right service number it wouldn't work", as if I didn't know that, and was ignorant. I assured him that the service number matched exactly and that I had matched it to the one that was pulled off my truck. I went back and forth with this guy for a bit about the restocking fee. He finally that said I could exchange it for another one witch he conveniently didn't have, or I could get credit for other parts. Reluctantly I asked him about some parts I needed for another vehicle, and conveniently didn't have those parts either. Not wanting any more aggravation, or to waste any more of my day, I told him to just give me a refund. After pretending he was having difficulties with the machine to put the money back on my card, he finally printed up a refund receipt (minus restocking fees),handed it to me. then proceeded to put it back into inventory for resale. Really? I just told him I paid $200 an hr. for the dealership to program it, they tried, and it was deemed defective, and he is still willing to resell it to the next guy/gal that walks through the door looking for this part. Now I know why these guys where the only one in the Bay Area with that specific ECU. They just keep reselling the same defective one and charging a restocking fee. This guy is super greedy, and this place is a total scam. I will never do business with Santa Clara Truck again!
