First time dining at 110 grill. They yell reviews looked good so we stopped in. I was traveling with a colleague and we both were very satisfied. We hoped ourselves by sitting at the bar and was served in short order. They were training a new bartender, but I could tell he had some experience. My colleague ordered the swordfish, but she said was really good. I ordered the bait card and we both got brussels sprouts for a side. Food was all pretty good. The restaurant seem to be laid out well and had nice decor. I would definitely come back when in town. read more

I reserve 5 stars for really special occasion places. But I love 110. It's one of the best chains for 1) gluten free options and they're great with dairy free too. 2) I'm very impressed with their quality control. 3) The staff is always wonderful. We had Janice, who could not be nicer. I love so many GF options and I can get things I can't normally get: fried cauliflower, fried onion strings, fried calamari, fried pickles (sensing a theme?), chicken piccata, sandwiches, just so many options including dessert. I really like this place! The food is always good as is the service! I had Johnson as my server and he did a great job answering questions. They specialize in making meals from scratch (minus breads, fries, and such). They also accommodate those with food allergies or dietary restrictions, which I appreciate. I tried the chicken caprese (gluten free version) with the artisan salad. It was delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly with fresh Parmesan cheese. The salad had a mix of pesto and olive oil, which made it very hearty. They have plenty of seating options, tables, booths, bar seating. I'd love to go back here with a larger party and see if the service is consistent. I had no issues with my meal. read more

We asked at the hotel we were staying at for a good place to eat dinner and were directed to this restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated immediately. A sign on the door warned of staff shortages and what could be extensive wait times but we were here on a Tuesday evening around 5. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating and told us they usually have 6 staff in the kitchen whereas lately it has been only 3 and they just finished up a busy graduation/Mother's Day weekend. So, we were prepared for a slower service. What we were not prepared for was just ok food. We started with the hot crab dip appetizer which was served with toast points, potato chips and celery. It wasn't too bad and I liked it with the toast points which we ate up with the first 1/4 of the dip and were left with chips and celery. The celery worked ok for dipping but you basically had to use the spoon to put your dip on the chip, especially as the dip cooled and was not as soft as when it first came out. I ordered the pulled pork Mac n cheese which was piled high with onion rings. The flavors I got were bbq and garlic. The "cheese" sauce reminded me more of a fettuccine sauce than a Mac n cheese sauce. I know it has some cheese in it because it has a sting here and there when I picked up a noodle. But for this Wisconsin girl it was not cheese enough to be considered a Mac n cheese. My husband ordered a burger and sweet potato fries. His fries were stone cold but he didn't want to complain as we were aware of the staff shortages. He said his burger was tasteless. I had a bite and liked the crunchy toast bun but it did lack flavor and we are not talking salt. We use no salt seasoning at home so are use to food not being salty. That part we can appreciate to have not overly salty food. $75 for our meal before tip. We noticed around this area that the majority of restaurants have under 4 star ratings. read more

Stopped in to this little gem while traveling. It was close proximity to a lot restaurants but we found the outdoor fire pit inviting. The bartender was a solid 10! The food was excellent. Waitress was very friendly and met all expectations. Addie. We had a party of 8 on Sunday arrived at 6:30 we received drinks and ordered about 7:00. The restaurant was not crowded at all and we had a large table and it was pretty quiet which was nice for the family. Food came out at 7:40. All the food was good. My brother loved his Rueben and the pulled pork sandwich looked delicious. I ordered fish tacos that were good. My wife liked her shrimp with risotto and noted the risotto was nice and cheesy. Overall a good experience and I'm not sure how well they would fair on a busy day. Although they may be managing customers based on staffing because I did see the hostess tell a few groups that came in that the wait would be about 30 min and the groups chose not to wait. I'm glad we made reservations. They also have gluten free options that my sister likes. read more

110 Grill has hit roch bottom with its staff - service is terrible for both eating in & take out orders. Eating in last week they meed up orders, forgot the appetizers until after meals were served, bar order took 45 min - lots of excuses but did nothing to show they cared! Tonight a simple take out order that included 3 meals & two bowls of soup, when picking up didn't notice they didn't include the soups. We called when we got home & asked them to refund the soups - they said no they were too busy! Like we aren't busy too! Calling HQ on Monday. read more

Tried this place with friends that we meet up with once a month. Six in our party. One has multiple food allergies and has had good luck here before. Upon entering, we were surprised to see very few people in the restaurant. Bartender was very busy waiting tables and tending bar. Once our whole party was there we were sat at a round corner table. The bartender was our server. He took a lot of time with our friend with the allergies and even brought out the chefs binder with all ingredients to discuss what she could safely eat. He took our orders without writing anything down. After a long wait, the food came out a little at a time. The friend with the allergies waited a long time after the rest of us to get her food. Three of the orders were wrong or cold and had to be remade...including the one for the food-sensitive friend. At this point, we were the only ones in the dining room. The bartender/waiter was getting upset and mumbling under his breath. Eventually, all the food got straightened out. Food portions were erratic. The burgers and sandwiches were huge. The dinners were very small for the price. I got the gnocchi and was shocked at the small portion I received for $24.50. The bolonaise was supposed to be veal, beef and pork, but it was an unidentifiable ground meat. It tasted okay, but was cold. They took it back and microwaved it. The shaved Parmesan was now all melted and the arugula on top was hot and wilted. My husband's barbecue burger, which had to be remade because they brought out the wrong burger at first, was fantastic. The Cuban was also good. The manager, Allan, came to our table to apologize and offer drinks, comps and excuses. He's new to the restaurant and most of the staff is new and being trained, he said. Even the back of the house staff. He was pleasant and friendly at first, but was becoming visibly frustrated as the night went on. We got our checks and sent them off with credit cards. The waiter/bartender charged the wrong bills on the wrong cards. We had to wait for all of that to get straightened out. They had to go to the manager to straighten out the charge errors. The manager did not come out from the back to check in and assure us it was straightened out properly. After all of that, we got home and I looked at my credit card bill online and noticed that they charged my card first with a charge that was not either of the two possibilities, credited that back, charged our friends bill to our card, credited that back and finally got the right one charged. We were not notified of the initial charge error. That does not sit well with me. What happened there? The manager would have had to do the credit. Sooooo...long story short...get a burger or sandwich and pay with cash. Enjoy! read more

Service was selective. It was a very slow day and after waiting 15 minutes of not being greeted by the waitress she served another table that arrived within a minute. After her third time out she looked at our table talked to the other tables, looked at us again adjusted a chair on a near by empty table and ignored our table again. I went on Wednesday for a work lunch, the place was not crowded at all it was a party of 4. The atmosphere is nice. The waiter immediately seated us and took our drink order which was just ice water with lemon and raspberry iced tea which tasted okay. And then the waiter took our food orders. And then this is what I don't get about this establishment is why because they weren't busy at all it took soooo long to get the food? Later on like 25 minutes or so the waiter was heading towards our table and he saw me look and I'm like how long until the food is ready? Like why else would I be looking. So he wasn't rude or anything he was nice and really did do a good job with service. So a few minutes later the food was ready and it came out hot and the presentation was good. As far as I know the other 3 people that I had lunch with their food was good also. I got the Tomato Basil Soup which was excellent and the serving size was perfect and the grilled cheese which I loved with mushrooms in it, the bread was crispy on the ends and not burned but grilled just right. The grilled cheese sandwich was a large serving size so I ate half of it and brought the other half home and ate it for dinner. If it wasn't for the fact that it took so long to get our food I would have given it 5 stars. read more

When it is all perfect. I can write so much or little to nothing. And when I say this is the best place I have eaten at since I been visiting Rochester. Yet in the 13 years, I have traveled to Rochester. The staff is really good. I wish I had gotten my waitress name. She was really cool and attentive. The outdoor seating is really nice and had a nice fire pit. They had a very large bar area to sit at if that is your thing. The BBQ chicken salad. I can only say on this day it was absolutely outstanding. Fresh, the perfect BBQ sauce. But just enough when you mix everything together. The portion was more than enough. I am going to start with make a reservation even if just for 2. We made reservations for 7 at 6 pm. Arrived at 6 and was told it would be about 25 min. Though did not get called till 55 min later. Yes a Saturday but very understaffed. Get a drink at the bar and eat there. Same menu. Female bartender trying to help us out. My husband picked out this place as it was close to our hotel. It really was not my first choice but I was hungry and it was convenient. I looked at the menu and I was extremely intrigued by the gnocchi. I can't remember what the original entrée was but it involved some cream in the sauce. I talk to the waitress, who was quite young, about not being able to eat dairy and she called over a manager to help me pick out some thing that was going to work. I mentioned that the gnocchi sounded good and the manager said that I could get a different sauce and add some grilled chicken to it for protein. I was pretty impressed that she knew the menu very well, I guess if she should and she was the manager. When the entrees showed up two different people brought the meals out. One person had mine and clearly stated that it was dairy free and named off the substitutions that had been made. That was pretty impressive! This is a little thing but I got grilled bread instead of garlic bread as the garlic bread had a lot of butter on it. Yeah the grilled bread was pretty plain but it was dairy free. I got the grilled cheese, but didn't want soup, and they let me get fries instead. I got the grilled cheese because it had goat cheese, and it was really good. The fries were also pretty good, and it was a pretty big serving of them. I also got a side of ranch for the fries, and they didn't charge me extra. I'd come here again. Big glass window to the kitchen yet big hair working without a hat or hair net. Waited (at the bar) for drink #2 for about 15 minutes. Saw 2 different people wait at the hostess stand for carry out give up and come to the bar, where they waited again. Ordered the Cajun salmon dish with onion straws and Brussels sprouts, with a side Caesar salad. The salad came out just before the meal, and was not a side salad but a full salad (no complaint there). They took it back, then brought it back claiming they were out of plates for the side salad thus the full salad (right). The onion straws were under cooked and soggy. The salmon was tasteless (it was Cajun). The Brussels sprouts were the star of the meal. read more

110 is the third chain restaurant that I can recall in this location off of busy Jefferson Road so I'm somewhat skeptical as to its long term survival. However, there is a reason that restaurants become chains of restaurants and that is because they are doing something right... And 110 is definitely doing something right... Aside from the somewhat unremarkable name. The stand alone building is in the corner of a busy shopping plaza so not ideal in my mind but a couple of my companions were excited to shop after dinner so what do I know? There is some outdoor seating and a huge fire pit which looks really cool but isn't all that enticing in February in upstate New York... I think it would be really enjoyable in the warmer months though. Inside there is a huge bar and multiple dining areas... Definitely a little more upscale than a Chili's or Applebee's (as are the prices) without being pretentious. Everything was spotless with the exception of a 10 foot radius around a large family with 4 very young children... I guess I can't hold that against 110... Let me digress for a moment of semi-judgmental commentary. Don't force your infant, toddler and two children under 5 to endure a 2 hour plus dinner in a nicer adult restaurant late into the evening... Get them used to adult functions and locations in shorter spans and earlier in the evening before grumpy time sets in. No wonder there were multiple screeches and the table looked like the food fight scene from Animal House! For their part the kids were prettt adorable. Just felt a little bad for them... Ahhhh... Thank you for letting me vent. Service was pleasant and decent but not overly interactive or attentive. Nothing to complain about but nothing exceptional either. However, this is based on one visit and one server so my initial impression isn't really comprehensive. I went with a steak salad, largely due to self imposed dietary limits. My initial impression was that it was kinda small for a price that is a few dollars higher than other similar restaurants. However, it looked great, was absolutely delicious and turned out to be more than enough to satisfy me. A little over-priced perhaps but it was so good that I can't complain. The burger and chicken sandwich looked great and my friend who got a wedge salad and French onion soup was very happy with her choices. My wife is celiac and could not have found a better place to eat with a large selection of properly prepared gluten free food. My wife was able to enjoy food that she hasn't been able to eat for years because of gluten. On the plus side, I love the atmosphere here and we visited on a lovely, warm evening. 5 stars for ambience. But... We arrived expecting a wait since we had no reservation, so when we were offered immediate seating if we wanted to sit outside, that was a welcome option! But we GOT outside only to find that the free table that was to be ours had been commandeered by other guests and pushed together with theirs. I was a little surprised that nobody tried to fix this - it was just a "oh sorry, there's no table now even though I told them not to do that." So back on the wait list we went. Luckily there was room to hang on the patio and that's what we did. We saw a table open up outside, but had to go ask if we could have it. The menu is fairly well put together, in my opinion, but it's a little pricey. I was okay with this since I felt I was in a more elite establishment. I ordered the Chicken Piccata Gnocchi as it sounded like everything I wanted in a dish. But when it arrived, the fried chicken cutlet looked dry and curled up on top of all the sauce. Luckily it tasted okay, but -10 points for presentation. A little sauce on top guess a long way. But for $19, I really didn't think this lived up to my expectations. Other than the seating frustration, I will say that most of the staff was friendly. The lady answering phones at the hostess station was a little salty but everyone has off days. Great service. It was a slower Monday evening and the waitress and her trainee were very attentive. I am a vegan, and I was able to find a handful of options to choose from. I ordered the vegetable stir fry without goat cheese and it did not disappoint! I love that it was served over pasta instead of rice. There is something that would take the menu (which is mindful of allergies) to the next level and send me back there again and again...and that is the addition of vegan cheese and/or more dairy free options. It would really create a lot more options for those of us that are either lactose intolerant or obtain from consuming animal products. read more
