I recently moved near Main St right before quarantine and after clipping my ends on my own, decided I needed to find a salon to go to when they opened back up LOL I found the studio via Google and Yelp and decided to take a leap of faith. My experience at the salon was amazing! Chantell was very professional and made me feel safe with her COVID precautions. She started on my hair right away and was kind and very gentle with my THICK hair. I've NEVER had such a pain-free experience in a salon EVER. She washed my hair with steam and carefully detangled my hair while conditioning and throughout the straightening process. I was very comfortable the entire experience and trusted her recommendations. The time flew by and even though she was able to fit in another customer while working with me, I never felt like I was pushed to the side like other stylists tend to do because of how much hair I have. I purchased a serum from her to help keep my strands in check, which worked perfectly and allowed me to wear my pressed style confidently for over 2wks and when I finally did wash it, my curls were the softest they have been after a blowout. I was truly impressed. Most stylists have suggested that I get my hair straightened and ends clipped more, but I have not trusted them enough to actually do so. However, after this wonderful experience, I will be seeing Chantell throughout the year for silk presses and steam treatments in between.

My hair is a little above my shoulders now and it looks better than it did when it was long! Miss Carol was super knowledgeable, and really put me at ease by explaining everything she was doing as she was doing it. She was able to tell how my hair comes in kind of wavy/curly by looking at the roots (since it was straighter due to being weighed down before) and adjusted the cut accordingly. When I asked for bangs, even without knowing exactly how I wanted them to look, she gave me some that suit my face shape really well. Another cool thing about this place is they're familiar with military hair regulations. Definitely recommend it for any military peeps in the area, men or women. She rinsed, detangled and conditioned my hair. My color matches my skin tone wonderfully. The only thing I didn't love about the end of my services was that a blow dry wasn't included with my color. Which just doesn't seem safe or practical for color, because its impossible to judge how evenly the color took when my crown was dry and the rest of my hair was wet.
