I spent considerable time researching an agency that could help with my mom. I was told glowing things about this company and chose them over others. They struggled to cover my requested shifts, the staff were late and there was nothing done to make it right. I was told "it's the weekend" and that was why it was hard to cover the shifts. We have them another chance for the weekday and 10 minutes before the shift I CALL and am told they are still working on it. Then I'm told "It's COVID causing staffing issues". After 5 days I'm done. They are more trouble then they are worth. It should also be noted that less than a week after my initial call, they raised their rates. No mention of that initially. Don't sign up with this company if you need reliable care for an elderly person in your life. read more

Our family member has had continuous care provided by 123 Home Care for the past year and one half and we have been delighted with the service. Cristal has been the care manager for the majority of that time and she has always proved herself to be an accessible and creative problem solver. She always briefs new caregivers about the nuances and preferences of our loved one while making every effort to schedule the familiar ones whenever possible. The caregivers are well trained and professional, always exhibiting genuine compassion. We highly recommend 123 Home Care and thank them for their service. read more

This company is shockingly inept. In the two weeks I've contracted with them for care for my mother, people have failed to show up, one person left mid shift with no replacement, and one showed up and immediately left without anyone there to relieve her. My mother was left without care and injured herself due to their leaving her unguarded. They have boilerplate "we are looking for someone to fill the shift" responses and they seldom deliver. They badgered me with over a half dozen calls on a daily basis about scheduling, none of it reliable. They hung up on me when I was expressing my dissatisfaction with their service. I would not recommend this service to anyone who is in need of reliable care for their loved one. I cannot begin to express my disappointment with this company and my resentment for their utter failure to deliver reliable elder care. Avoid!! Update 12/30/20 Since the original posting of this review, this company has sent over nurses who left mid-shift without a replacement due to stomach discomfort (this happened twice,) exposed my parents' house to a Covid positive nurse, set us up with nurses who canceled because they didn't want to drive in the rain (Orange County, California is not a place where we get torrential/prohibitive rain,) left my mother uncared for enough that she has blackened both eyes from falling, injured her jaw, and needs work on four different teeth all of which were injured in separate falls that happened when nurses either didn't show up or left mid-shift without a replacement. When I explained this to one of my mother's care coordinators, Becca, and asked if that is the sort of service this company could be proud of in a review, she accused me of threatening her and said she was going to hang up. She proceeded to retort "maybe if your mother can't keep from falling, she needs to be in a home," despite the fact that we had contracted with 123 in the first place to have someone in her home to keep her from falling. Their failure to deliver on the care they promised turned into my fault for hiring them, according to the care coordinator. Anyone reading this can probably understand how that felt. The care coordinator claimed they had people working all the time to try to fill shifts for my mother, but shifts that were unstaffed two weeks ago remained unstaffed, and yet when I spoke to the nurse helping my mother, she offered to fill that shift and many others the care providers themselves had failed to fill. Perhaps the communication between the care coordinators and the nurses is in need of improvement, but whatever the case, this is a company that is certainly unable to reliably follow through on the care it promises, sets you up with nurses who leave or don't show (in a manner that suggests they do not take their commitments very seriously), can spend the better part of a day failing to fill shifts that fell through, fail to fill shifts despite days notice in advance, etc etc. I honestly cannot speak too critically of this company. It is by far and away the most negative experience I have ever had dealing with any company of any sort, and I advise anyone looking for reliable care for their loved one to avoid this company and its irresponsible personnel. read more

With the help of Kay both my Mother and I have viewed the services provided by 123 as excellent and exceeding all our needs. Quite unexpectedly I needed services for my mom. I was a first time user of these types of services and was very unaware of what was available or what to expect. Michelle walked me through the process and answered all my questions. She was able to complete the task over the phone and provide the needed service the same day, within hours. My relief was huge! The women who cared for my mom were on time, pleasant and prepared. Most importantly, my mom was very comfortable with them and quite happy. This company is so disorganized , when they can't find caregivers they offer you to cancel and than they blaming us for canceling. Or they don't call to let you know they send someone for you or no. read more

My mother passed on June 1 and I am just now ready to write this review. We were lucky enough to have three wonderful caregivers from 123: Jessica, Porche and Nancy. They were professional, dependable, and mom felt at ease with them. The whole family felt attached to these care givers, it was sad to have to say goodbye to them as well as mom! Also the staff at the office - Crystal and Kay especially - were super responsive, very efficient and caring, and always so pleasant to deal with, especially during such an emotionally sensitive time. I would recommend them highly. Also, be sure to give 123 as much detail as possible for personality match, they will be very diligent in pairing your loved one with the right care giver. If the chemistry is wrong let them know and they will try again. Mom so much enjoyed her little visits with each of these women (though she was not conversing much in her last days), and she felt cared for and expressed love for each one.
