I had my basement cleaned out of 30+ years of accumulated junk, I had been introduced to the company when we had to clean out my mothers house after she passed away. I was extremely impressed with their whole operation. So when I needed to clean out my house I specifically wanted to bring them out for the job. Since I had worked with them through the estate sales company at my mothers house, they made an exception and came out to my house even though it was not in their normal jurisdiction. The crew arrived exactly when they said they would. They then spent three hours methodically taking all of the junk out of the basement. Having worked with them before I knew I had items in the basement that they could not take. Things like motor oil and anti-freeze cannot be taken as junk and discarded. I had not previously sorted through those items to separate out the items they could take from the ones they could not. They looked through each item, took the ones they could and stacked the others on a shelf. It first looked like I would eat up more than the two truck loads I had requested. But they did some reloading in order to make sure that everything fit on the two trucks. The guys they sent were extremely nice engaging us like we had been friends for years.When they were done they swept out the basement floor and took that with them also. They made payment very easy using their tablet with a credit card reader. I cannot possibly see how the whole process could have gone any better. Four guys did in three hours what would have taken me weeks or months to do. And they made the whole experience as easy and pleasurable as possible. As someone who doesn't normally write reviews, this entry should be an indicator of the exceptional service provided to me by 123Junk. To cut right to the chase, I had a hefty job clearing out a ton of space from the storage unit of my company. After shopping around and reading reviews, I found 123Junk to be a competitively priced and reputable company in the neighborhood. But it's not enough to say they did the job well -- they did the job PERFECTLY, and then some. To start, Nick, the scheduler I spoke with was courteous, understanding, and on top of the ball. He followed up with me quickly and answered all my nagging questions. They even sent out guys the day before to get an estimate on how much it would take to haul away everything. The day of the haul, the movers were courteous and efficient and overall terrific guys. It's a testament to the kind of guys these movers when they spent hours in 90+ degree weather and still did their job with a smile on their face. By the end of the haul, we actually had thrown away more than the original amount, but they still let us pay the lesser amount and even fished out something we had accidentally marked for removal without skipping a beat. I used 123Junk to haul away two sofas, a love seat, a chair, a desk, and a dining room table. Guys were phenomenal. I'm in the process of moving out of state so the timing for stuff is all over the place. I reached out through their website late at night and they called me the next morning. I described what I was looking for and I was given a price range and a detailed explanation of how they calculate the cost. Thus, no surprises. These guys were then able to fit me in with only two days notice, which was truly appreciated. The two guys that came to the house (after calling in advance to give me a heads up) were professional and courteous. They did an initial assessment of what you're looking to haul away and give you the final quote (I added the table on the spot, so the price ended up being on the high-end of the range I was initially given, but still within the range). Fifteen minutes later these guys were done. One took a love seat out BY HIMSELF. I'm pretty sure it initially took three of us to get it in the house. All-in-all, well worth the price. My dad was moving to an assisted living facility and my brothers and I were left with the difficult task of sorting through all of his possessions to see what would kept/donated/trashed. We could not have done it without 123Junk. Seriously, it was great. We had also called Salvation Army to help with some of the donations. Who knew that Salvation Army would be so difficult to work with?! Salvation Army told us that they didn't "do stairs" & they also required you to dust everything off before they take it (and wouldn't wait the 3 minutes for you to get a damp cloth...just no thanks). I was so fortunate that the nice people from 123 Junk waited with me for Salvation Army to arrive and while Salvation Army did their "pick up". 123Junk even offered to carry things down the stairs for Salvation Army! Understanding our situation and what we were trying to accomplish (i.e. clearing out the house), the amazing folks at 123Junk helped ensure they house was empty before they left. This is the kind of review every owner of a small business should read. Because it's not necessarily what happens, but how you handle it, right? I had a pick up scheduled for yesterday, as a happy customer who had used 123Junk before, and they never showed up. I'd been emailing with the rep I used the last time and he just stopped responding. I left a message on the main number after I got home to see all the junk still there (worse, I share a driveway so doubly not good) and at 9am on the dot, Rob Rowlett called and could not have been more gracious and apologetic. For whatever reason, there was an issue with the employee and my pick up was never scheduled and nobody knew about it. Rob went above and beyond to schedule a pickup today, with a discount, and made a loyal customer of out me. In a time where you can't even get a live person on the phone, and customer service is a thing of the past, these guys do it right. I called 123 Junk last week and spoke with Rebecca. Rebecca was very friendly, informative and patient. She provided me with a reasonable quote, (more reasonable than the blue junk truck people.) She was able to accommodate a pick up around my availability and walked me through the process, she followed up our conversation with a confirmation email and a contact number in case I had any questions. The day of pick up I received a call from the crew to let me know they were 10 minutes away. When they arrived, I pointed out everything that needed to be removed. Tony & Tim were very friendly and professional. They didn't waist anytime getting to work. They were in and out in less than 20 minutes. I'm beyond pleased with the service I received today. I have used 123Junk several times - once for cleaning out my house in preparation for putting it on the market, then after selling it and downsizing into a much smaller home, and then again a year later getting rid of that couch that I brought with me that I now no longer need. Each experience has been as good as the last. Every team member I have dealt with (both "office staff" and the crews themselves) couldn't have been more polite, friendly, and helpful. They were patient, took everything I asked them too (and more), and did their best to consolidate the load so as to minimize my total cost. I also greatly appreciate the fact that they recycle and donate as much as they can of the items they remove. And then send you a charity receipt for any items they are able to donate. Really impressed with the professionalism and customer service of this group. I had a very large amount of old furniture and odds and ends to get rid of when I moved. I made initial contact with 123Junk via email, received a telephone call from a company representative almost immediately, and was able to set an appointment right away. The company representatives were thorough in explaining their pricing structure. On the removal day, the company representatives kept me advised of their timing and progress towards my house. The removal itself was extremely fast and efficient. The three young men on the removal crew were so professional and courteous! Before noon they had provided me with a quote, which was reasonable, and a move date. The movers arrived in a timely manner, were courteous, professional, and very efficient. Great company from start to finish! I had very specific time constraints and Robert was professional, courteous and got me exactly what I needed. The crew arrived 10 minutes after the two-hour time window began (with a call about 15 minutes prior) and the two gentlemen who came to pick-up (sorry, forgot their names) were customer minded and professional as well. They took the time to go over my donation options and removed the large, heavy piece carefully and without making a mark, or disturbing anything in my home. 123 JUNK IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST!! We had to clear a house out with many obsticles including a very short time frame. I called and spoke with Zack. Extremelly professional and friendly. he didn't even laugh at my silly questions or dumb jokes but that's for a different review :) They came and and loaded the trucks with donations, trash et all EVERYTHING!! and took it away. I will even get the donation forms for the things they donated for me!! I didn't have to call donation companies, pack everything and get it ready. No waiting for trucks half full, No coming back. 123Junk was everything they advertised they were and more. The 2 guys arrived on time; they were neat, polite and easy to work with. Two guys took my large, extremely heavy sofa, and 6 upholstered chairs. They listened to instructions and requests, then performed their task efficiently and quickly, being careful of surroundings. They performed their job in a safe manner. I liked that they were able to have Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Chantilly that the 3 seat sofa and two living room chairs. AND send me the donation receipt. How many companies do that now a days? Their price was very reasonable. I won't use 800-Junk again. I will recommend them without reservation. 123Junk was fantastic! I called them on a Saturday hoping to get removal service on a Sunday (even though I knew it was unlikely). They were not able to fit me into the Sunday schedule but understanding I needed the items removed urgently, put me on their Monday roster and gave me a quote over the phone. They said they'd call when they were 30 minutes away which they did and when they showed up they knew what they were picking up and removed everything quickly and safely. The workers were friendly and efficient. The quote they gave me over the phone was honored, no surprises or complications. The team from 123Junk did a great job cleaning out a house we purchased - they arrived ahead of time, worked efficiently, and proactively brought in another crew to help better use the time. They were honest about the amount of junk removed (which is the basis for the total cost). Based on their work, we hired them again to follow up a few days later with removing all the carpet in the home. They again were on time, efficient, and did a great job - the amount of carpet removed was much less in volume than the original estimate (a partial truck instead of two trucks) - they did a good job rolling the carpet and minimizing the space in the truck. I hired 123Junk for a job I was working on with my organizing company, The Wise Organizer, in the Burke/Springfield area. The crew took away 3 truck loads of junk (this was after I had sorted and sent many truck loads of donations away with Salvation Army). The crews were super courteous, dressed professionally, and helped move some things upstairs for me that they weren't even taking away.
