They make a great product but if you ever dobhave trouble you will not get any help. They do not answer the phone and take weeks to reply to emails if they do at all. They will also schedule a time to call you and then just never call. As long as you dont have any issues they make a great product but if you do you will be stuck with it. read more

Shitty site/company to order from. I called for over 10 days straight with no answer, sent emails and never got a answer for updated status on my order that said shipping in 4 - 6 days. Kept getting auto reply emails about me getting a response in 24 hours and my emails have been sent to HIGH priority but never got anything. I had to sit on the phone and call them back to back 20 times before Aiden finally answered. Per Aiden we are a "mom and pops" shop and we are trying to get to everyone. OK? so answer your emails and calls. You have customers that are trying to reach you for updated order status. Been over 10 days, no update on order, no update on shipping. I requested a return and refund. I would NOT RECOMMEND ORDERING FROM THEM !!! Save yourself the headache and go through MPC!!! They obviously don't value their customers experience when I tried to inform Aiden had I read the reviews on yelp about the bad reviews on about their shipping and communication with their customers year round, he just kept arguing with me that its not true. I told him I'm looking at your reviews right now on yelp. Had I did reviews on the shipping of the company. I wouldn't even had ordered through them. Let alone MPC offer the same kind of unit with better features for $200 less than 12 volt. My order was shipped same day with MPC and received it in 2 days. After over a week and continuous emails they finally cancelled my order after I harassed them to cancel and refund my order several time. I purchased a remote start kit, it had 2 different sets of instructions. One set didn't work and one had incomplete instructions. I tried to get help, that was useless. I tried to return for a refund, no response. I called my bank and explained the problem. It took the bank a few weeks to investigate and they found in my favor. After replacing the battery, the app no longer could connect to the vehicle. I sent multiple support tickets over the span of MONTHS. No response. I purchased a remote start with long range fobs and then upgraded to the phone app. The items they sent me in the remote start, to include the key fobs did not match anything in the video. The system doesn't work right. When I ordered the phone app, again, the video instructions they send do not match the type of wiring they send. Attempting to get help, someone to answer an email or even website inquiry, is non-existent. Always a voice message with no way to leave a message. They never answer the phone. read more

Purchased a basic remote start kit in 2021 and it installed easily. I then decided to upgrade to the app module in early 2023, so I could start my truck with a mobile app and this is where the problems began. I installed the app module and additional wiring as instructed and everything seemed to work ok until a few days later, the panic alarm would sound off when trying to start the truck with the app or OEM key FOB. I reported the problem multiple times to 12volt solutions over the next several months (over 35 emails) and always received the response that they would get back to me. Every time, I had to follow up with them and would get the same response. Finally, I received a response that if I purchased a "Forever Warranty" for $70, they would send me an "Expert Exchange" kit with several components to swap out one by one. After I paid for the warranty, I was told that I would need to give them a credit card in order to get the Expert Exchange kit and would have 14 days to get the swapped out components back to them or be charged for all of the components in the kit. I hesitantly agreed and after giving them my card number, received the kit about a week later. I then swapped out the first component (the harness) and got the same result. Horn still honking. I then sent an email to support to ask what step next and after 4 days, received no response. In the meantime, I received an email from their Expert Connect team informing me that my 14 days were about up and that I risk being charged for the kit. I emailed them and told them that I have only been in possession of the kit for 2 days and never received a response. Needless to say, I boxed everything up and shipped it back to them so I didn't get charged more money. I have an appointment next week to have a Viper system installed by a local shop with LIFETIME PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY. I'm out over $500 from 12volt systems. Very disappointed in their email only support and lack of or very delayed responses. In summary, I would not recommend them and suggest going to a local shop. read more

We purchased 2 remote starters for 2015 and 2016 Ford F250. We were able to program one remote starter without any issues. We attempted to program the second remote starter in the 2016 F250 (same remote start model) but the programming wouldn't work. We emailed for help but never heard anything. Not a positive experience, unfortunately. This is not plug-and-play. Two weeks after placing my order, I requested a cancellation. No response. The remote start was sent the next morning. A high-priority support message was sent to me saying I would be contacted within 24 hours. Still hasn't happened. No spade or tap connections were included with the order; I was told to strip and solder. Installation instructions were incorrect for my vehicle. After removing the underside of the dash and not finding the wires as depicted in the instructions, I took the vehicle to our local car stereo shop. Two hours in, they called to say that the RAV4 Hybrid would start and immediately shut off. I paid $180 for labor. I emailed JR of 12 Volt Solutions videos of what was happening. After following his reprogramming steps, JR determined that the module was corrupted. I had to pay to send it back and never received compensation for the stereo shop's work. I had the stereo shop install a Viper remote start. 12V is not ready for business. read more

I have been looking for a remote start for my car and the shops were pretty expensive as I had to give up one key plus buy their kit plus pay instll which added to ALOT. I found 12 volt solutions and their plug and play kit with app and magic box was super fair priced. I installed in less then 30 minutes the first stage, got them on the phone ( a real person first try) got the second stage, and then installed the app module. Total time short of buttoning up everything 1 hour. Through my entire pre purchase and finish install has been phenomenal. Their customer service has been excellent. They are happy to answer any and every mundane question and go above and beyond to make sure you are 100 percent happy. I cannot remember when I have had this great of start to finish purchase experience. I highly recommend these guys to everyone who wants a easy plug and play remote start for their vehicle. I do not give out review ls so easily good or bad but wanted to make sure these folks get theirs as they treat and talk to you like a friend not a number. If there were more stars they would have them. I had such a great experience and their product is exactly what they say and so easy to install by following their video instruction as well as the human you can get on the phone that I am buying another kit for my wifes car as now she loves my set up. I ordered a plug-and-play remote start kit from these guys on their website. I wanted a remote operated solution, as the Hyundai BlueLink Remote start was very unreliable. The package came, the install is super easy! The programming is super easy as well. I personally had an issued, mostly due to *my* own fault. I placed a call to customer service, and they were very helpful and accommodating. They were very patient on the phone, and got me up and running. I bought a remote start kit for my mother's Colorado (she lives in another town). I spoke with one of their representatives over the phone to ensure everything was compatible. Kit arrived quickly. Instructions were fairly straightforward for "stage 1 install" but the module wasn't quite going into learn mode as it should. A quick phone call led to some altered instructions which worked. There were a couple other snags with the first step of installation. The first was the antenna wouldn't plug in, the second was that the truck wouldn't start without the module plugged in (which needed to be sent in for "stage 2"). After mailing the antenna and module back with a note explaining that the antenna doesn't plug in I received a call from someone informing me that if I wanted a refund I would need to send back the rest of the kit. We went back and forth repeatedly. I tried explaining that I was not seeking a refund, I was mailing the module back per instructions for programming completion. He kept saying there is no additional programming. When I explained that the antenna wouldn't plug in, he fired back with "works just fine for me". Few days later I received the module, antenna, instructions on how to get instructions, and a new jumper harness that allowed the antenna to be plugged in (worked just fine for you huh?) Plugged module and antenna in, tried scanning the QR code for programming my module/remote combo only to have it pull up a YouTube video for something completely different. Tried repeatedly all the QR codes only to come up with the same result. Spent an hour scrolling through their channel looking for instructions, spent another hour trying to guess how to pair the remote using logic and information from other videos. No dice. Called again the next day explaining the situation I had. They apologized for the wrong instructions explaining they forgot to tell me not to use the link, and they also forgot to include typed instructions with the kit. I was emailed some instructions on remote pairing. Made my third trip out to my mothers place to finish installation only to have more problems. Paired the remotes but the remotes wouldn't do anything. The antenna flashed when a button was pressed but that would be it. There were no instructions on how to use the remote start so I started guessing combos (lock button-hit bottom button twice, lock button hit third button twice, hit lock button hold third button twice, hit lock button twice, hold bottom button for a few seconds, etc.) but none of them worked. So far I had spent 6-8 hours and driven 180 miles to install a kit that still was not working. I sat down that night and typed out a 2 page long email explaining the sequence of events, what I was experiencing, and a list of components/hardware I had. I received a phone call the next morning. They were supposed to send an additional harness that required splicing wires but it was not included. Also the jumper harness that was mentioned to make the antenna plug in was something different that was not compatible. I was assured that I would get an email with instructions on the sequence to remote start the truck, along with his cell phone number so that I could call him directly to walk me through what to cut and splice to make this kit work. Never received that email. Tried calling a month later looking for a refund, they won't give one to me but I'm more than welcome to mail the kit back to them. 347.51$ waste of money, a huge loss in time. I know there are a ton of great reviews out there. When something doesn't work, they won't step up to make it right. read more

I hired a certified mechanic to do the work for me after hours. After 30+ hours of paid labor, and 3 months of trying to get it to work, only 1/4th of the features worked 1/2 the time. Both he and I attempted to reach out; the support page was down during this time. I emailed as I could not find a phone number to call. Eventually, I was granted an exception to return the products for a full refund - $35. I chose to EAT the cost of the labor bc it was NOT working. I have also invested $65 in shipping & $1000 out of pocket for a mechanic to install and remove the unworking products. I returned 6 products with packing slip attached, totaling $1,498.49 USD - $35 agreed on restocking fee, with an agreed refund of $1463.49. However, my refund was only $636.50. Their tech support ignores your complaint and keeps asking questions that had been answered. Furthermore, they are aware of and admit in writing that it's broken, yet aren't shipping the repair and forcing me to jump through hoops just for the privilege of getting the fix. My car is now unusable. Thank GOD this wasn't done at my mechanic's shop, or else I'd be out $1,000++ for his time and the lift/space time. read more

I have already installed a 12 volt solutions remote start with the app module on my 2018 tundra. My sister has a 2019 TRD Pro tundra, so I purchased her one as well. After seeing mine, she had to have one. Super easy install, the support library that you gain access to once you purchase the unit is excellent. Very detailed and easy to understand, even for people who are not gear heads. They show you how to install it In your vehicle, not just how to install it in some other vehicle type that is set up nothing like yours. 12volt solutions really has made installing a remote start very easy and they have a very impressive high quality product. We both did the app as well. I highly recommend the app, because you can start your vehicle from anywhere, track your vehicle, lock / unlock the doors from anywhere, and you also can triple click your lock button on your key and start it that way as well. If I ever trade Vehicles, this will be one of the first mods I install. Highly recommend, you will love it as much as us. Total install time is 20 minutes or so. I have a 2017 Lexus IS300. As some may know they just recently disabled their enform app rendering the remote start/lock/location features useless due to running on 3g. After having these features, especially with winter coming, I was extremely disappointed and considered selling it to move onto something else. However, I do love the car. After a little research I came across 12v solutions remote start system. After watching a couple you tube videos of the install process and the features and the testimonials, I decide I would purchase it. Its only the first day, but the system is amazing. I couldn't be happier with it. I remember the days when you would have to take your vehicle to a professional audio shop or something to have one of these installed. This system is super easy to install yourself and literally took me 10 minutes, and five minutes of that was the gps finding the signal. The response time through the app and the ability to start it with the factory key fob blows the dealerships system they offered out of the water.
