Love the family run small businesses. Burger was good, nice patty. Bottom bun was a little hard (stale). Reasonable prices which is awesome nowadays. Upgraded to chili cheese fries. Not good. Every town needs a joint like this. Good, cheap, filling burgers and fries. The strawberry shake was delicious. Menu prices haven't changed in years, which is such a relief - hats off to this business owner, that is a major blessing when everything else in the world costs an exorbitant amount. These aren't gourmet burgers, but they don't bill themselves to be. Want a good burger and some cheesy fries for a few bucks? This is the spot. On our way to Telluride we stumbled across this gem. After a few bad meals and missed meals, we really needed a good serving of food. Crash Burger is just that. CB looks like it is in the spot of an old gas station or mechanic shop. It has a pleasant feel with extremely courteous and friendly staff. The outdoor seating was perfect and there is ample parking in front or on the side street. There is also a drive through. The burgers come in several sizes but a double is perfectly fine. The fries are decent, albeit not as good as Five Guys. They have floats at a very competitive price as well as soft serve if you have a craving or a small kid. My family really enjoyed our visit and the friendly service. I wouldn't hesitate to come back or to stop on my way through the area. read more

We happened to visit on Free Bacon Monday and could not have been more pleased. For lunch we got onion rings, double bacon cheeseburgers, fries, and a chocolate shake. Considering how busy they were, the food came very quickly. It was a bit windy so we dined inside, where they had a high chair. The structure is a former gas station, and it has all the kitschy nuances of a good old-fashioned petrol stop. The old gas pumps line the front, and there's a few tables with bright red umbrellas to eat under. Because everything is made fresh, the drive-through wait might mean a few choruses of 99 bottles of beer on the wall, but the wait is worth it. The only beer you can get here is the root variety, along with several other types of soda and shakes, too. I followed the recommendation for a 1/2lb burger with cheese and bacon. It was too much for me, but it would feed a hungry person nicely. Love the beer battered onion rings - in my opinion, this is the best way to prepare onion rings, super delish! It takes me in one hour and a half to drive there. I live on a fixed income. I don't get out much. I know they have good food. But I was the first in line today with my therapy dog and I got yesterday's old cold hamburger. I know this I owned a restaurant. It's a tough business, but I want a hot juicy hamburger not something that was put in the cooler last night in a bucket of water and warmed up, so just make sure you say. I want it hot off the grill and it truly will be one of the best hamburgers you have ever had unfortunately for me. It didn't work out that way. read more

We have lived here for the summer and I finally convinced my wife to check this place out. Super friendly staff, family owned/operated. Way less greasy of a burger than you'd get at a Culver's (and I love theirs too). Didn't notice any gluten free options but alas I shall live vicariously through my wife. The place seemed neat and had a fun pitstop decor with old road signs decorating the outside. We just went through the drive through. They are dog-friendly and gave out pup a milk bone just for poking her head out the window. The fries were great, and overall this place blows McDonald's out of the water. read more

Straight up, the BEST burgers in town, or anywhere else (except my house)! I'd give 5 stars, but the sides need improving. A common complaint I've heard and agree with is that the fries are always soft and under seasoned. The onion rings are okay, but better than the fries, so I always swap them out. The new Crash strips (chicken strips) are juicy, but small. The building is in need of TLC, but very cute overall. Service is usually good, but that also depends on who's at the FOH. Our orders are usually right, but when they're not, they're easily corrected. read more

I'm from Chicago so they have awesome burgers. But this burger was so tasty. The flavor of the patty was amazing. It looked like an IN n OUT burger but tasted better. This was definitely one of the best burgers I've tasted. The pork tenderloin is worth a try. I ordered mine with only onions. Great combo. This burger really surprised me. It reminded me what makes a burger great. Thick hand pressed juicy patties with some of the best tasting beef I have had in a while. Cold lettuce, tomato, raw thin cut onion and pickles doused in the house sauce. American cheese melted and salty. Add bacon to really make it great. Its almost a perfect burger in the 1/2 size (pictured). Its also great in the 1/4, Though 1/2 size had the best balance of flavor. I really pride myself of being a huge fan of burgers and this one is pretty damn amazing. Good onion rings too. It is a family-owned burger place. I ordered the 1/4 lb burger combo with strawberry lemonade shake. Luckily, I came on a Monday that bacon add-on was free. The burger had onion, lettuce, tomato, sliced pickles, and bacon with the 1/4 lb patty. It patty was cooked medium rare. The onion was really good and I like the fresh vegetables. This spot was super convenient during our stay in Montrose. We found it on a limb but thanks to Yelp, it wasn't that difficult to come to a final decision. Their burgers is where it's at! I can't compare them to in-n-out as I've never been but I can say they taste fresh and made to order. Which is the reason I came back a second time in two days #sorrynotsorry Burgers are sold single, double, triple or quad and can add cheese for 24¢. Worth it. Oh and free fries with an order of a burger. Fries were just okay. A little on the thicker side than my personal liking but I do like the taste of free so I'm sold. Burgers come with the usual; lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and burger sauce. They also serve specialty shakes. Unfortunately they were out of their seasonal shake during our visit *bummer*. We found juat what we were looking for with Crash Burger. It is definitely an old-timey burger place and there is definitely a bit of a wait for the food, but it is worth it, since you can actually see everything being cooked fresh. The staff was happy to answer questions and didn't mind making substitutions on their burgers, so you really can't go wrong here. And just FYI, if you order a frozen soda, it is kind of like a soda float with ice cream. Only the ratio is like 95% ice cream and 5% soda, sooo, if you really want a soda, just order one. read more

Woah! I've just eaten my last Crash Burger! Used to be great, where you could order a Crash Burger "medium" and get it a bit pink in the center, obviously cooked fresh, juicy and tasty. Tonight when we asked for "medium" they said "no could do". Why? Well when it comes it's barely warm, dry, and clearly overcooked, maybe even days ago. The cheese wasn't even melted.
