Halloween is my favorite holiday. So, I thought to myself, it's been a long time since I checked out a haunted house. We're talking 12 years or so. So when I saw an ad about 13th Floor Haunted House on Facebook, I knew it was time to get back in the mix. I checked out this haunted house on a Sunday at 8:00 p.m. It was their last day on November 2nd. Parking was a cinch in the spacious parking lot they share with other businesses. Once you arrive, you'll see a line outside of the building which winds in the same way that you would see at an amusement park. This was my least favorite part of the experience. It took about 30 minutes to get through the line outside and the line inside of the building. And then the haunted house itself takes about half an hour. You can pay extra to skip the line, but I'm not about that life. I just wish they had a system in place logistically where you can get through the line quicker. I imagine that Friday and Saturday evenings are even more crowded than the Sunday evening I attended. I won't ruin all of the surprises about the haunted house itself, but I will say it's a good time. There are parts that are pitch dark. There are people jumping out at you left and right trying to scare you. There are parts of the rooms that are set up to scare you. There are different themes throughout the haunted house. It's well done. My favorite area made it seem like you were wading through water, when you in fact were not. It was an optical illusion created through light. My words can't really do it justice. If you're not super scared of haunted houses, give it a try. You'll have a good time once you get in there! And after you survive all of the ghouls and demons, there's a food truck posted up outside if you're hungry. read more

SKIP THE ZOMBIE SPLAT PAINTBALL EXPERIENCE. It was an asbolute waste of money. I was pissed that I spent nearly 40 dollars for us to do that. It was the most juvenile, idiotic, boring, waste of time. NOW FOR THE HAUNTED HOUSE. It was absolutely amazing. The themed rooms, the actors, the props, the ambiance, the characters outside while waiting to get in, all of it was so very well done. AND it is a long haunted house, it goes on forever, which was great for the price. This is an expensive experience, so I would hope for quality entertainment and you definitely get it. IT LOSES A FEW STAR FOR THE VERY LONG WAIT. Why have people select a time for entrance when you are going to have them stand in a super long line? We had tickets for 7 pm on a Sunday and it took us an hour just to reach the entrance where we had to stand in line again for another 20 minutes. For the wait, and the ridiculous waste of money on Zombie Splat, I give this attraction a solid 3 stars. read more

As Shania Twain once said, "That don't impress me much." The haunted house was pretty underwhelming....nothing moved, a few flashing lights, and not much else going on. We even paid the extra fast pass fee and $8 for the "zombie shooting" experience, which turned out to be just two guys standing around pretending to get shot. I went on a Monday, and I was not disappointed! I was skeptical due to some negative reviews mentioning a lack of scare actors. However, that was not my experience at all. The scare actors were active and appropriately spaced, and the decorations were very well done. Definitely worth it. I'd also recommend the fast pass if you don't want to stand in line for too long. read more

We've gone the past few years and my kids enjoy it. I do buy the early bird tickets so they're a lot cheaper. This year it was in the same lot but different building. The wait was about an hour for general admission. This year even though they took us with our groups we were all lumped together once we got inside. There were still a few jump scares but you heard the people in front of you scream so knew to brace yourself for something coming lol Overall, I'll continue to come back as long as my kids want to come! read more

Very disappointed in the 13th Floor Haunted House, went probably 10 years ago & it used to be so good but I'm not sure what happened.. First off, the "Fast Pass" line was like waiting at Disney for a ride and the "Skip a Line" still had a line that took 15 minutes to get through! So I'm unsure what the true difference is between regular & fast pass tickets or as to why you are supposed to reserve a time when either way you have to wait in line to get in! On top of that, the experience felt short lived.. they seemed to rely heavy on scare props than actors & I felt like where there was actors there were many missed opportunities for jump scares! Probably won't go back, but hopefully they improve it cause that was a joke.. maybe open up for April Fools instead of Halloween next year! Save your money please or try another haunted house that's worth it! read more

Honestly, for the money that you pay. It's literally suitable for kids under 12. You're basically just paying for the name because it was not scary at all. So $30 per person for the basic tickets and then you stand in line for an hour and then you watch everybody in VIP go ahead of you and then it's so jampacked that you aren't scared because it's not scary. read more

We have been coming for many many years and even get our early passes a month or so early. We took a friend of ours who had never been and bragged about how good it was and how scary it was. Went last Friday and it was absolutely horrible. It was not fun at all. Not scary. Just walking through a bunch of dark hallways. Hardly any rooms, few actors. We were really looking forward to this haunted house, but unfortunately, it fell flat. The actors didn't interact much with us, and at one point, we were even scolded by one of them, telling us to keep moving and warning us not to touch the props. We brought our teenager and their friends, who were experiencing a haunted house for the first time, and had to explain that this is not how it usually goes. There were no jump scares or any of the usual excitement--you know it's bad when it feels more like walking through a museum of haunted house decor rather than a genuinely scary experience. The VIP/platinum was a complete scam! Do not pay that extra money! I still had to wait in line outside, I was first in VIP line and still had to wait for regular line to go ahead before me and inside there were no VIP system at all for skipping the line. Man, this year's haunted house freaking sucked! The location moved to a much smaller building resulting in a much shorter experience. In years past, they used to be really good about creating / maintaining gaps between groups of people as they walked through the attraction. Nope. Not this year. The staff did stagger groups at the start but you quickly get to a point where you're just walking in another long line through everything. There's wasn't a single time I was scared because all the traps and hiding places were triggered by people crammed in just a few steps ahead of me. Oh! And the music. What happened to all the scary sound effects and spooky sounds? Someone decided to add club beats for most of the time we were there which totally ruined the vibe. Also, in years past, there was a middle section of the haunted house where you had to wait in another line to proceed. After a little traffic control, we were able to go on the the second portion of the experience. That never happened this year. My friends and I all reached the end this time around, thinking it was the halfway point, and we were so shocked to find that it was already the exit / gift shop. Half the props don't work. They used to have this huge, menacing looking alien that could stand up and move its claws and now it just sits there....not moving. There was even a huge snake at one point that would come out of a wall and it looked like it would envelop you completely, that was missing. Matter of fact, half of everything was missing yet the tickets were still $40 each. Screw this place. I'll never go back again. read more

Could have done so much more. So many missed opportunities. Went a few years ago with my son and at that time I would've gave it three stars. Going this time, I was very disappointed. With just one solid line of people experiencing at the same time, it was more like I was touring a scary museum than going through a haunted house. Strongly suggest that instead of investing in much animatronics and fake scenery that you spend more on including many more actors in costume scaring at different parts during the tour. Went last week Friday. Got there a little before 11pm. Got an up close parking spot which seemed odd. First thing noticed was that there was NOBODY in line for the queue to enter. Next thing that I didn't like was that there was NO ticket booth. You had to scan a QR code and buy the tickets online!!! Got the regular general admission as why pay extra for skip the line when there's no line. Saw that there was also a zombie shoot. Saw this on YouTube from a haunted house in FL and thought it would be fun so got that extra at 8.00 per person. Total for two adults with two zombie shoots general admission was 100!!! Got some popcorn before going in. Went straight in. Some of the sets were good and a couple of the costumes were really good. But nothing saying you are leaving one house and starting another. They just all blend together. I was not scared even once. Pretty typical in my experience they don't even try to scare guys. My fiancé was only startled twice. There's also a room I HATED that had about a 60-70 degree incline then you had to go right a couple feet on that incline then back down. My fiancé slipped and fell on that part. Luckily she didn't hurt herself. The zombie shoot was a joke. They only had one zombie and you couldn't even shoot them in the head as they said you'd get thrown out after doing it twice. They were wearing what looked like a welders helmet...come on now they wouldn't get hurt in that thing from tiny paintballs that were 1/4 the size of normal paintballs!!! They also had a gift shop when you came out of the houses just like Disneyland! How lame is that? The whole things took...ready for it. 15 minutes. Had a good time there. Purchased the fast pass weeks ago (cheaper) so that we didn't have to wait in the historically long line. It paid off and we were only in line for around 30 minutes. The building is large, so if you move at a slow enough speed you'll probably be in there about 20 minutes. My only issue was that the picture system was not working properly so we weren't able to purchase the pictures we took earlier. One of the associates suggested we go home and download the picture online. Of course that didn't work either. read more

Overall, I give this place 3 stars because it has potential! However, It wasnt scary enough, too many people in at the same time and I just think overall the experience can be upgraded especially for $50! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! IT IS A GENUINE SCAM. This was truly a let down of an experience. Nobody in my group felt scared even once. almost none of the actors even ATTEMPTED to scare us. The reason for this is that there was a group in front of us, and the actors sometimes would try to scare them. The actors did not have enough time to reset for us, and probably saw that we witnessed them try to scare the other group. We noticed that repeatedly, the fun was being spoiled for us, so we tried to wait and let the front group go forward far enough so that we'd give the actors time to reset. When we tried to wait and give the actors time to reset, the actors BROKE CHARACTER and YELLED AT US to keep moving or go forward. Numerous actors broke character. We were also being pressured by the group behind us to go forward. As a result, we did not have a single scare. It also felt like the entire actual maze portion of this experience was like 15 minutes total. A complete letdown for $50 a ticket (fast pass). 15 or 20 minutes, probably under 5 scare attempts, 0 successful scare attempts (even to those in our group who get scared easily). We like Fear Farm which we visited last week, and for the significantly higher price, we expected an even better experience. This experience was worse. It was NOT scary, and worst of all, the actors were RUDE, didn't care about their job of scaring us, and seemed like they were annoyed at us for trying to enjoy the experience. It reeked of "we think our job is stupid and we're just waiting to go home." I reached out to support, and they refused to give me a refund. read more

I spent money so you don't have to! There were some scary parts but they relied heavily on props instead of actors. Honestly, it was all unorganized, and it was at the end of the night when we went. People that were in front of us were ruining it & on top of that, one of the actors got out of character and started verbally harassing my best friend saying to leave the show just because she scared the actor. One of the best haunted mazes I have ever been to. They did a great job at this one. I have been to several of these throughout the states. Hands down best one. Several times throughout the place had me jump out my skin. We were laughing and running very fun. The makeup amd the visuals they had here did a great job depecting horror. Went tonight with a big group of my roller derby teammates. Sometimes on opening nights things can be a little weird and run less smooth than normal but tonight wasn't the case at all. There were so many scare actors and they were all top notch. I love the new location (a/c was a plus!!) and the amazing new sets. For getting everything up and running so quickly at the new spot, you guys really did an amazing job and personally I like it better than the old one. We arrived at 6:45 and did not have fast pass. Our tickets were for 7 PM. We waited in line almost an hour and 45 minutes. It was hot and frustrating. This is the third time we have been but the event has gone down in quality. I think they are short staffed. There weren't as many people that jumped out and some of the props like the big snake didn't work. In the past they were dancers that we had our pictures taken with. No dancers this year. Also, it used to be the event started the second you walked in. Now you go through a 15-20 minute wait as you get your photo taken before you get into the haunted house. My grandkids are 12 and 13 years old and they thought it was a lot of fun but like I said. It's gone down in quality over the last couple years. Advice; get on their mailing list and buy your tickets 2 to 3 months in advance for $13 with the fast pass which is $10 so you pay $23 a ticket. Worth it! Also if you buy later on closer towards Halloween, check Groupon before you buy your tickets. In the past we have bought our tickets through Groupon which included the fast pass for free. I went with my husband and my kids and their friends. My throat hurts from screaming. It is definitely scary and keeps you guessing where the next scare will come from. My kids loved it and the characters were awesome. The zombie part wasn't as scary but their was this one character that was dressed like a girl with pigtails and had a chain on his mouth and he made that part so much better. He followed us around and made the girls freak out. Overall I will go back next year, it was allot of fun. But I would suggest to get your tickets online to save time. read more

I wanted to like my experience, but as I look back, I feel like youre paying for a glorified, halloween themed interior design expo. I was fortunate that there was no ridiculous line on a wednesday at 8pm. I stood in line for maybe 8 minutes before being let in. The whole experience was probably 25 minutes, and the lack of scares left me perplexed more than frightened. It doesnt help when theres a group of local teenagers are actively commenting on how the quality and staff has gone down. I definitely appreciate all the work that goes into putting this production together. I love that characters were engaging with customers in the line outside, made the wait go by quick. It would've been nice if the temperature inside was cooler, it was pretty toasty. It also would've been nicer if guests were more spaced out so the element of surprise made it scarier. The haunted house was very basic with very little working scares and not only that they had very minimal workers so there was nothing scary about this haunted house. Also they did not break groups up at all so walking through this haunted house was one big line of people just crowded together so there was no scaryness to it because you knew exactly what was going to happen at every turn because it was so crowded. read more
