If I could leave zero stars I would. This dentist is awful. He left me with a horrible filling that causes pain. Do NOT go to this office!!!

Do not trust this dentist office!! Super long review but worth the read…read more Well sad end to many years at this place. They have always been really nice to work with till they changed how they take my insurance. I had a appointment for a onlay/crown and filling. It was just after the first of the year and I knew my insurance would be covering more of the cost as that's how the plan we have works. When I walked in that morning to get my work done I went and made sure I was paying all my potions up front to avoid any back dated billing. Because I have seen this done with other dentist offices in the past. They told me they changed things and my cost was going to be much more now. I said why did you not tell before hand. They said we tried to contact all customers but clearly they did not. The lady was nice and said let's see what we can do and she lowers the bill from like $443.00 down to $139.00, ok well I figure I like them and a $139.00 is worth going to a place you like. So I paid up front for the services of that day and got the work done. Well low and behold a few weeks later here comes a bill for $304.00. I call them and try and talk to them about how I did everything in my power to avoid this and had a detailed conversation with the lady who took my payment. They still stand by the fact I need to pay while admitting they are the ones that changed the insurance plans, but still want me to pay for something they chose to do. Pretty shady way to treat customers that try and make sure all bills are paid up front. And call me crazy but it sure looks like they moved the remainder over from the original bill when I walked in that day. And did not adjustment to cost. You know simple math. And I told them that day it was the wrong amount I would owe.. so in the end the office lady in billing was totally ok with me not returning to them again as a customer. So apparently they don't care about keeping customers. So please think about that before doing business with people like this. Customer service when it matters is important not just being chipper when you walk in.

There's a lot of unnecessary add ons and inflated prices - plus I suspect the clinicians are paid through incentives to extract teeth and land extra inflated price treatments (especially SRP deep cleanings). Being aware of this business model helps you make an informed decision. When you do decide what you need, cross out those expensive line items you don't want, or need, and pay only for what is necessary. Do this before you pay $ in advance. My experience with office staff and hygiienist was good. They were all very helpful and responsive to my requests. I feel I recieved value for the money spent. My mouth is healthier as a result! The dentist gave me what I needed to resolve my emergency. All was great- except for the time after my initial exam during proposed care-plan (14k!) - I was shook and felt like my mouth was a money cow. Minus one star for the stress. Luckily I take it all with a grain of salt.

Three months to wait for a broken tooth I went to oral surgeon the next day and they brought me in the following day to get my tooth removed. I was told the signatures sheet would be sent to my email May 11th and today but still no such luck. I received a billing today from Corvallis Gentle Dental showing a past due balance from Albany Gentle Dental billing that I never received. I paid Corvallis Gentle Dental balance directly but will not be paying Albany but instead filing an appeal with my insurance company and a complaint through the Oregon Board of Dentistry for fraudulent charges. I requested a copy of the billing, do you think I received it? Nope ... I was told that it's difficult to get that information (as she searched through 'something' on her end). The billing I have is incomplete but after calling UHC regarding charges for that day they explained the billing and billing process and this billing will be addressed in writing to more than one, they are billing for charges they are NOT providing and even though I supposedly received a cleaning by the dentist himself I can promise you that is NOT a cleaning. Avoid this office at all costs.

If you have Medicaid/OHP coverage please read on:…read more Per OHP contractual agreements, an agency that is contracted with OHP to provide services, the patient CANNOT be charged or billed for services if they have active OHP plus benefits. See page 36 of the member handbook, on OHA's website. OHP is the big umbrella, a CCO (Medical/vision) and a DCO (for dental) are managed care agencies of OHP. If you are in a CCO (like IHN) or a DCO (like Capitol Dental) and an agency is not contracted with with that particular CCO/DCO, it does NOT mean you do not have OHP coverage. It only means you need to request to change your CCO or DCO prior to your appointment. Many agencies will check OHP (CCO/DCO) coverage the day before an appointment. This gives the office a chance to inform the patient that their office is not part of that CCO or DCO. This avoids the agency not getting reimbursed for services performed that they deserve to get paid for. Should they fail to do this prior to an appointment for the patient, or wait to do it during the appointment, they cannot charge the patient for the services. The agency would have to write it off. OHP/Medicaid consumers have already proven they are low income, thus the reason for this rule. The exception is - if it is a service that OHP does not cover (like a root canal), then the agency can ask you to sign a "waiver." Then they can do the service and bill/charge the patient for that service. Also on page 36 of the Member Handbook. Shouldn't the consumer know what their CCO and DCO is? - Yes, and No. Changes are often made that the consumers are not aware of, thus many offices follow the above procedure to avoid doing services they cannot charge the patient for. If you are on OHP and think you were charged incorrectly, it is preferred that you work directly with the agency first. Should that fail, then call client services at: OHP Client Services - 800-273-0557

Complete Dental is one of the few dental offices that takes the Oregon Health plan. Complete Dental doesn't have as many clients so I'm able to get in for an appointment a lot faster. I don't think I've ever been on a cancellation list with them. Appointments are reasonable. They do a great job cleaning my teeth. Thank God for Complete Dental because what Affordable Dental did to me was discrimination and lazy. I'm really glad that Complete Dental was there for me when I needed them. I can get dental work done a lot faster here.
