Ricardo is amazing! I went first for a smog test--great service. Ricardo gave me a coupon. Then I started having car trouble (weird noises) and I didn't know they were open Sundays so I went to a different garage. Big mistake! Came back to 16 minute/Nono's for an oil change and they did an inspection of the car and found out my car problems were from a bad barring and old rotors. They scheduled an appointment for me for replacement and I got my car back the same day! Now all is good, car sounds great. And they gave me a really good price. Highly recommend! ZERO stars. I've never encountered such a hateful, sexist and rude employee as I did yesterday with Ricky from 16 Minute Smog. He mocked my driving (he wanted me to maneuver my car into one of the testing bays within a tight parking lot) and told me I was "doing it the lady way" (??). He yelled at me to roll down my window so he could instruct me how to park my car "properly". I wound up executing a perfect 3 point turn...and drove away. Never getting my business. EVER! read more

I decided to walk along Santa Monica Blvd to get some exercise. As I walked passed the shop to go east on Santa Monica, I heard a whistle and Art waived at me to return, as the smog test was done. I came in pretty early, around 8:15 and was immediately helped. They were kind and quick and very clear about the prices up front. Extremely rude customer service! I didn't have an appointment and simply asked if they have time to do a smog check right now. There was only one older man working at the time, who immediately started yelling at me and was clearly getting aggressive. I still don't exactly understand why, my best bet is that he thought I was asking IF they offer smog checks instead of whether they have time. Regardless to say, this was a ridiculous way of treating a customer. I tried to de-escalate the situation but not to much avail. Eventually this guy wanted me to pull my car into their garage and ran out screaming and yelling when I was still sitting in my car after about 30 seconds. I just drove away. There are plenty of smog shops in LA... please do not go here unless you want to risk your sanity, physical health and YOUR CAR'S WELLBEING. I'd never want to let someone like that get anywhere near my car. Please get this man some serious help.... read more
