Kid K wanted a mani-pedi, and I figured while I was there I'd join her. This place is tucked away in a corner of the mall. My GPS took me to the main lot, near where the market is, but this is around the corner to the left in a smaller dead-end lot. Walked in and they were busy, but they also had plenty of people working so there was almost no wait. Pedi first, a bit strange for me with the scraper and all, but nice, and now my feet are smooth. Mani was quicker. All in all less than an hour. Kid K loved it and got a shade that matches everything. I passed on polish. I usually go to Nails on Neil, but I was in Grandview and wanted to try somewhere new, and my friend recommended 168 Nails (in Upper Arlington). I have been twice now, and both times I've been so happy with the service. Everyone who works there seems to be in good spirits every time I go, there hasn't been a long wait to get my nails done, my nail tech is always helpful when picking colors or telling me how to take care of my nails, and the prices are reasonable. I don't get my nails done as much as I used to, but I'll certainly be back again. read more

Had a lovely experience at 168 Nails Spa today! I am in from out of town and booked a gel manicure and pedicure on short notice. Location is small but clean and had partitions up between each station (felt very safe in COVID times!). Pedicure was great and I added a 10 min extra massage which was lovely. I also opted to try out the chrome manicure which was new (I was the second person to get this type of mani!!). Needless to say I'm OBSESSED!!! My nail tech was lovely and did such a great job. I will never visit your establishment again. On this day I went for a pedicure and a manicure. For the manicure, I got the basic package; however, the nail tech did not trim my cuticles. I am not sure if that is not part of the basic package or if I would have to upgrade to have my cuticles trimmed. So, all I got was a polish change, a barely scrub on the bottom of my foot, and a warm towel wrapped around my leg. I think I could have done that at home. To smooth the surface of my nail bed, the technician used an electronic tool. I didn't appreciate that nor was I given the option. Now my nail beds are low for both my fingers and toes. Extremely rude ownership at 168 Nail Spa. I got a dip manicure hours before leaving for vacation and prior to even arriving at the airport, one fell off. All the others followed, and I had naked nails my entire trip. When I went back to get them redone, I was told I could not chose a different dip color, and the owner accused me of picking them off myself and trying to get a free manicure. There are many nice salons in town with professional, hard working owners who deserve my business much more than this rude staff. Additionally, the dip manicure was very thick. Now with her own salon, it's clear how much time and effort she puts into her business. She hires great employees who also show exemplary service. Everyone at 168 Nails Spa is always prompt & ensure you're taken care of in a reasonable time. There's countless colors to choose from (both gel and regular nail polish) & some services expand beyond nail care. I HIGHLY recommend this salon to anyone in Columbus, especially the UA area. It's about time I wrote a review! I come here for my weekly manicures with Gigi. Overall great experience. She is gentle with me (I can be a pain in the ass because I hate nail files) but somehow she's the nail whisperer. My manicures last almost 10 days, the only reason why I go so often is because of my cuticles. She does a beautiful job, as do all the ladies here. Such an UN-SANITARY place to get your nails done. I went on 1/20/24, Saturday and over heard a young lady complain about getting an infection that sent her to the hospital and to get on antibiotic. She pleaded with two of the nail techs for her money back and they said no and denied their involvement in how she got a toe infection. A few days later after I was at the nail salon I got big blisters that turned into an infection on three of my toes from a pedicure I got there a few days prior. I went back and spoke with the owner, she got combative and denied that I got the infection from a pedicure I had from her salon. The lady that did my nails came over to us and looked at my toes and heartlessly said she did not cause the infection and lied and said she didn't cut my toe nail! I felt like the two nail techs including the owner did not care AT ALL what I was explaining to them. I told them I would report the incident to the health department that it not only happened to me but to another young lady the SAME DAY! I was there. They told to go ahead. I would never come back to this salon under the same ownership. They prove that their salon is dirty, unsanitary and they do not care to fix the problem. read more

I found Chen, my technician when she worked at another place. I have followed her from other salons, she is that good. I don't care where she went, I followed. She finally opened up her own salon, 168 Nails Spa and I couldn't be happier. I'm in there every two weeks and her coworkers are all extremely friendly and have their own regulars who love them.
