Overpriced!!!! I paid $400 and tipped $50 after they pointed it out, for such a bad set. I'm going to have them removed immediately. The nail has no shape it is indented and the French tip looks like a toddler did it. Please don't go here. It's overpriced and the nail artists are so bad!!!!!!!! More on the experience. The set was rushed it felt like I was taking up their time and they wanted to get more customers so she didn't really care for my nails. The manicure was horrendous. She bit too much of my cuticles and I was bleeding on three fingers. Then she was annoyed when I'd tense my finger when the drill bit into my injured fingers. She never told me to wash my hands after the drill session and just lightly dusted and proceeded to paint over my bleeding nails. Overall this was just horrible. Please don't go here. I had a full set of acrylic nails done by Stella. She was polite, friendly, and professional. The owner, Lee, personally introduced herself to me as a new client. There is an ATM very conveniently located within the space and the fee is only $1. Gratuity is cash only. The nails themselves were almond pink/white ombré. Every nail is on evenly and matches in length with the other hand. Very happy with the service and will return again. I've been here several times and always like my nails + the hard gel lasts a very long time. However the prices here are much higher then typical and they pressure into tipping a lot and don't seem to understand tip (although I believe you should tip) isn't mandatory. I prefer to leave 20% or more if I like a service however when they charge so much more than typical it's hard to feel comfortable leaving a tip. They also charge more than what your supposed to for removal, design, etc (feels very nickel and dimey) Overall I think this place is good but not worth the overpriced service. It feels that that are focused on how much money they can make rather than the quality of the nails and satisfaction of their customers. read more

love this place! stumbled upon it while walking around in williamsburg wanting a pedicure. it's super clean, everyone is nice, and they even do hot stone with their foot massage with the pedicure. i picked the pedicure with a 10 min foot massage and added another 10 minute massage and it was well worth it especially after walking all over new york for a few days. they have nice massage chairs too and i love my pedicure. will definitely be back! lisa was my nail tech and she was very sweet! thanks lisa! read more

You pay so much for a terrible end product and this place is not hygienic at all. This place is no-frills, which means that the workers are having loud conversations with each other, there is a language barrier, it isn't a relaxing environment by any means, and the products and techniques aren't the newest. All of this is fine, so long as your nails turn out well at the end. Unfortunately, my nail tech Cindy was sloppy and poorly skilled. My nails are bumpy and uneven in texture and length, and the shapes are not flattering. I felt awkward after asking her repeatedly to correct the shapes with her file, which was old and used. She cut my cuticles even though I asked her not to. She had to redo a thumb nail at the end because there was a cleft in the middle of the gel that she just kept adding to until I pointed it out, and by the time I inspected my nails, she had already started on another client. My friend got the same gel nails as I did and their nail tech took 1 hour 15 minutes to do the set. The nail techs kept chattering about how good the nails looked at the end so I don't think quality is what they go for. See the videos for the finished product. read more

Cozy is the best nail salon in Williamsburg; trust me I've tried them all! First of all it's SO immaculately clean! I never worry about the horror stories you always hear of infections and bacteria, you can visibly see the care put into maintaining a safe and comforting environment. They also always can accommodate my reservations, even if I only call an hour ahead of time. Their pedicures are basically perfect. I don't even get pedicures often, but I literally crave their pedicures. Super comfortable chairs, great massage work, and they use hot stones which is a game changer! As for the manicures - I've been getting hard gel manicures for the last 6 months after being recommended it because dip ruined my nails. It is pricey but so worth it and it always looks great. I did once have an issue with one technician not shaping in the way I preferred, but they switched me to another tech no problem and I ended up with exactly what I wanted. My manicures still look perfect after 4 weeks every time! I'm disappointed to see so many people claiming Cozy is over-priced. Yes, it's pricey. It's Williamsburg and it's more than a run-of-the-mill salon. If you want premium service, you need to pay premium prices. I see multiple people saying they lowered or skipped tipping because they didn't anticipate paying so much for service, and have even see this occur in person. It's a horrible way to treat such dedicated, talented technicians. They are transparent about pricing if you ask, so just ask before skimping on tip. read more

Just like everyone else, I saw the reviews and decided to stop by this place while staying in Williamsburg. The pedicure was fine + I have no complaints there, but this is possibly the worst manicure I've ever received. I requested gel. I've never had a manicure where no water was used to rinse/clean my nails. Instead, my nails were filed and the particles left on my nail bed and painted over. When I asked if she was at least going to wipe the nails down to remove that, she told me it would go away as she paints. It did not. I'm now walking around with a bumpy set that I need to get removed. The kicker is that when paying $110 and asking "How much would you like to tip?" I reluctantly said "$10" and the woman at the front desk told me "You should really be tipping 20%"...I then had to go into detail that they were lucky to be getting anything at all and she laughed it off. Enjoyed this nail salon - went for the first time today and I would come back. My usual place was closed due to renovations so decided to make an appointment for a French gel manicure. Was seated right away even though it was busy and was out within 25 minutes. It was $63 for a French gel mani which was a little pricey compared to what I'm used to but it was a great experience. The people who work here are nice and seem very sweet. Very clean place as well. read more

I waited 2.5 weeks to post this review. The reason for this was because I wanted to give my opinion not only on the service but the quality of the product I paid for.  upon arrival: i was asked to fill out a covid consent fom, give information for contact tracing. Then my temperature was taken, my phone was placed in a phone sanitizing machine, i was asked to use sanitizer, & finally seated. each seat is separated by clear dividers & one between client + nail technician as well. they used new papers placed on each station for each client as to not have direct contact with surfaces. all in all, phenomenal handling of the current situation we are living through.  my nail tech was very thorough with my nails. I asked for the cat eye gel polish or some people know it as "velvet nails." The process seemed to take a bit of time due to her drilling, filing, & buffing my nails before painting them. I'm not really sure why she didn't soak my nails or cut my cuticles, etc. When the process was finished, the polish was great.  now, pricing: my total was actually quite shocking. The total of the cat eye gel polish was $73. I have never paid more than $25 for gel polish so this was a little absurd to me for just gel polish. BUT WAIT: even though i found that the price seemed extremely high, my nails have never looked better. Along with how nice they looked, I felt super relaxed. The environment was very clean, quiet, and professional. You're not just paying for a service, you're paying for the experience as well. I wanted to wait 2.5 weeks to also give a review on the quality of the nails in that duration of time. I haven't had a single chip on any of the nails, they've just grown out which is normal! I've never had gel last more than 2 weeks so i'm actually so happy with the results.  If you're looking to spoil yourself, I say go for it! I went in for a dip powder set and a pedicure. When I got there, I wasn't informed about the price. It ended up being way over what I assumed it would be, which I didn't really mind at all. I got the pedicure done first in a high-quality massage chair. Then we went over and did the dip powder on my hands. The problem came when it was time to pay and I told her I'd like to tip a little under $15 and over $10. The price came up to $160+. She told me usually people tip 20%. I said I won't be able to tip 20% today but perhaps next time I come. She told me that my tip is not enough and asked me to pay $20. I reminded her that a tip is a CHOICE, not a requirement and that I've already legally paid for the service. This is just something extra to say I really appreciate the service. She said "ok" and when I said "thank you so much", she just ignored me and walked away. All of that good service...gone in an instant. I like how my nails came out, but that treatment upon my payment and exit did not leave a good impression at all. And I still tipped them rather than solely paying for the service! read more

I have a messed up toenail that a lot of nail salons give me a hard time about, and they were very patient with taking care of it. Stumbled upon this gem after a morning workout and was enticed by their 20 percent off promo. To preface, I used to get my nails done religiously so I have fairly high standards for salons. I decided to get dip powder extensions and a standard pedicure. I started off with the pedicure and honestly almost fell asleep. I was so relaxed and spontaneously decided to opt in for an additional 10 minute foot massage. So bomb. Now onto my nails. I had a hard time deciding on a color and the technician recommend me a beautiful blue green that ended up being so gorgeous with my tan. She nailed down the shape and length so I could still be a fully functioning adult with claws! I truly feel like a mermaid kween and am excited for my next fill. I've been doing my nails for 20 years now and this place has been the most disappointed I went in. She just asked me what service you like and why would you want to get that done. I am very disappointed and I did not feel welcome after my service she just said OK and charge me $17 for a $5 to $10 service, the money was not the issue after I took off my nails I expected her to do a manicure which I asked and she said no you're all done and left my hands ashy and dry and said all right, you're done you can pay now she was very rude and I never been treated like this in a nail salon. I was charged 250 dollars for my mani pedi - and not only was it extremely overpriced but my nails we're shaped terribly and unevenly - they look like clumpy egg shaped nails - very bulbous - and on top of that my cuticles were completely neglected - since when do nails salons not trim and clean cuticle ? Before I put my feet in the foot bath I noticed they did not a put a plastic cover like other salons do. I immediately asked about the plastic cover and the lady said they clean after every customer. This is how bacteria and fungus spreads!!! The bacteria goes into the pipes and sticks to surfaces!! They may look clean but their tools and foot bath are filthy!! Since I was a new customer, I gave them a chance because the salon itself looked clean but man was I wrong. My entire toe is infected and I am in a lot of pain. Employees were all working on finishing up sanitizing the whole place. So I read a few reviews on this newly opened place in Williamsburg and I felt confident I could get a great mani and pedi in here. There was only one other customer there at the time I visited and I was quite surprised I wasn't offered a drink or magazine at all. The place is clean and tidy as you'd expect from a place that's only been open for 2 months. The pedi wasn't great, sloppy work on the nails and she filed my feet for about 5 seconds each per foot, which is shocking in my opinion. She should have noticed my feet needed a lot more attention than that after months of not going to get them done. She did massage my feet and lower legs nicely but I wasn't there for a massage but for a pedicure so I was disappointed with the pedi. The shellac mani was ok. She could have done a better job on my cuticles. Hands should be placed In warm water before dealing with cuticles but she just worked on my dry hands which isn't good. The end result was ok. The staff was polite and friendly but they definitely need to up their game if they want to have happy customers and a successful business. This mani and pedi was definitely not worth £90 read more

Went in last night for a nail extension removal + gel manicure and didn't love the customer service. I am a nail biter who is pretty self conscious about my finger nails and didn't appreciate the extreme attention drawn to the state of my nails. While I completely understand that nail extensions aren't great for your nails, I also do not think anyone deserves to be surrounded by nail techs pointing at their finger nails and laughing. There was also a moment where one of the nail techs looked under the table at my toe nails and asked if I wanted a pedicure which I found to be completely rude. On top of all this, my gel manicure was very sub-par (there's nail polish all over the skin surrounding my nails) and overpriced compared to other nail salons in the area ($50).
