The vibe of the place is calm, spacious and clean - sometimes just what you need versus a hectic, crowded spot. We were able to take our time in our seats and leave when my polish was completely dry. I'm usually a tough critic of nail salons, so much so that I just started doing my nails at home myself! But this salon, guys... ‍. The salon feels clean and doesn't smell to high Heaven like chemicals, so you can actually, like, breathe. The staff is really nice & my nail tech was so thorough & professional. My nail shape is even, the polish goes all the way to the base of my nail (not looking like I have days worth of growth walking out of the salon), the application was even, and she was so gentle with the cuticle clippers. My nails were beyond saving..they were damaged from acrylics and so weak that half of my nails were torn at the tip so she had very little to work with. Judy was super gentle and very meticulous. Really liked it here. It was my first time doing a gel mani here and it was on time, quick and very well done. The paint actually touched the bottom of the nail bed versus a lot of the places that leave an awkward and unnecessary white space on a fresh mani. A little pricier than your typical spot but worth it. read more

I visited the Grand Street location and was a bit disappointed. They double dip. Once a stick is used, regardless of the body part, it shouldn't be placed back in the wax unless it's made exclusively for you, the customer. When I asked if that was the case, the young woman acted like that concept was foreign (no pun intended). Also, I didn't see the tweezer sanitized after usage in me. I hope they will be and were before using on me. I went here for sugaring and figured that I would try the wax. I'm glad I only waxed my underarms. I won't be returning. read more

Very unhappy with the gel manicure I received here last week. The manicurist was nice and the salon was very clean. She asked if I wanted her to cut my cuticles, which I thought was a weird question. I said yes, but looking at them later that night it didn't seem like she cut much. The color of the gel is even and consistent but in the corners of 5 of the nails there was gel on the skin so it's already starting to peel up less than a week later. I came in this past Friday for a simple manicure. My manicurist, Jenny, seemed really inexperienced. She very aggressively cut my cuticles, which caused two fingers to bleed. She was also very sloppy at applying the nail polish, and had to re-do a few nails because she accidentally bumped into them with her gloved hand. When I brought this to the manager's attention (my bleeding fingers), she didn't seem to care, as she did and said nothing to help rectify the situation. If you are going to go here, be very careful with who you book with! read more

Love the ladies and customer service here. Everyone is extremely nice and kind. Please know that customer service is very important!!! That being said, its not a cheap nail salon...so I expected my gel nails with my $20 EXTRA chrome polish to last at least a week and a half.... Disappointed...I really wanted to become a regular here but I can't spend the money for this (see photo). I had my nails done on Saturday, on Monday, today they looked like this. The black part you see is the base, the powder to make it gold, goes on top. I feel bad, I know I could probably go back to the salon as they're so sweet and lovely, they'd redo my nails...but that awkward plus for the price I'd like it done right the first time. Stopped by here today for the first time and was so impressed! I've been looking for a nail salon as well as a sugaring salon since I moved to NY back in October and really have not been happy w any place that I've tried. I got a pedicure and a Brazilian and both services were amazing. I didn't get the name of the woman that helped me but she was so attentive to detail and made me feel so comfortable. The salon is very clean, cute, and spacious (which is really nice during these times of social distancing). The lady who did my pedicure was really nice and took her time doing my nails. I came in to get a service and the location was booked. I asked if I could wash my hands and I was told that was only for customers. I responded" I am a customer and come here quite often to get pedicures and services and even go to multiple locations." I was still told no and not even offered hand sanitizer. I came here because the salon near my apartment isn't vegan and non-toxic. I received a mani pedi from Ginny (or Jenny, sorry). She was very gentle, and I didn't feel judged for the nastiness of post-winter nails. I had some nails that were bitten off, and others that were broken off, so even though she had a mess on her hands she made them look perfect. She took the time and care to look over them after they were done and touch up where she thought was needed. The salon was so quiet and peaceful. Two of the customers were acting irritable and rude which they handled so well. I also loved the paying online feature (though make sure to bring cash for a tip). Cute little spot in a great location (also conveniently next to my hair salon) Came here Tuesday around 1 pm without an appointment and I didn't have to wait which was convenient. The salon is very clean and minimal and they use non toxic polishes (I am not sure if they have natural nail polished though, but they have Dior, Deborah Lippmann, their brand and more). The selection is not very big, but I think it covers all the colors and it's a good selection. I was offered water and tea right away and it was really nice. Extremely minimal, calming decor-- very farm to table. I did mani+pedi with foot and back massages. The polish application was OK. The top coat was not applied perfectly to cover all the color.. The pedicure basins were uncomfortable to rest my feet on for the service. I couldn't relax or else the basin would start to move and thereby messing up my french pedicure application. The French Manicure that I received at this establishment was completely unnatural. It was done with super thick lines and they were so uneven. I've never had a French manicure look so unnatural. I let Jenny, the nail tech know and she completely got a major attitude, because I had choose the tip color, and started speaking in Vietnamese to her co-workers about me. It was beyond Unprofessional! I asked if I could paint another color over the nails, and they told me it would be an extra $15 dollar charge, on top of the extra charge for French Manicure. It's not even about the money. I would have paid it, to have it done correctly...but Jenny was still talking mess about me and had the worst attitude, not to mention eye-rolling! Wow. Seriously! I just wanted to pay for the nails and go. I've never had to make a bad yelp review before, but this experience was horrible. Receptionist was sweet, great selection of colors but prices were way overpriced for the Service provided. As a cis male, I enjoy the luxury of a mani pedi often, but the services provided did not suffice. I was stabbed in my right big toe and was bleeding profusely my entire time there. Staff tried to ignore it at first but realized that it became a problem not when I explained to them that I was still bleeding but when I notified them that blood was spilling on the floor. Everything was rushed, I felt tense and in pain and was only offered my pedicure comped. Nails were uneven, nail polish blotched and essentially rushed out before my nails were completely dry. When I returned to fix my nails the manicurist brushed me off and had the receptionist fix the job. There's more to my horrid experience but I need to move forward from this trauma. Couture? Visiting NY from California, on a best friend trip, and saw that this place was eco friendly and non toxic nail polish which is awesome! The service was lovely, atmosphere inviting, cool, and pleasing to the eye, and all around wonderful!! We left happy and ready for more adventures in the city- yet a day later, I looked at my nails, and noticed they were no longer the beautiful white I had asked for, and neither were my best friends, who had done a light pink on her nails. Mine went from a beautiful white to a disastrous toasted marshmallow- NOT HAPPY. I messaged my sister about it, and she said it had probably been the UV rays that turned our nails sour. It would have been nice to know that UV protection was needed. I was treated to a birthday manicure/ pedicure at pH7 . The salon was clean , quite and didn't smell like chemicals . Theres a large selection of polishes to choose from . The don't only carry your typical Essie and OPI polishes , they also carry higher end nail lacquers like Butter London. I was taken care of by Nicole , she was gentle and polite and made sure I was comfortable, she offered warm water and even put on my shoes and socks at the end . My pedicure was nice , not your typical foot sink , but done in a large basin. I got an additional 10 min foot massage for $10. My nail tech took her time and asked questions like "cut or file" and "cut cuticles" to ensure that I would be satisfied . Thanks Nicole , I left more than satisfied . You can pay for the service up front or after your appointment. receptionist will bring you to your seat and ask if you'd like tea or water. the tea is always delicious. the atmosphere is soothing, calm and perfect for relaxation. when the lady arrives to provide service they are always gentle, understanding and easy to talk to regarding what you would like done. They take their time with mani/pedi and never hurt me. massages for gel manicure (short massage to end mani) and the indulgent pedicure are amazing. the finished result is always so beautiful and you can tell they work with attention to detail. out of all the salons I've been to this is always my favourite and is well worth the money. read more

I really wanted to love this place given its high reviews but my experience fell quite short. The salon is a beautiful oasis; very welcoming and serene. It was a little too quiet for my preference but the decor was lovey. However, my mani and pedi was terrible especially given the cost. I asked for a matching off-white color for hands and feet- my manicure left me with very blotchy and uneven white nails which I asked to be fixed, but it never helped. The pedicure was just as lackluster; I came home only to see that my feet still needed to be scrubbed properly. After paying $70 for a gel mani and regular pedi, I got another appointment elsewhere less than 5 days later and the tech was able to clean off way too much cuticles from my feet given the fact that I had a pedicure so soon ago. Needless to say, I sadly won't be returning here. read more

I like this place...but I'm not sure I like it enough to make it my go-to spot. PH7 is conveniently located and takes appointments online, which is awesome. They have a broad range of 3-free and vegan polish brands, including high-end ones you don't typically see in salons (Deborah Lippman, Zoya, RGB, Butter) which is also awesome. What they don't have is proper pedicure chairs, which (let's be honest) is like 75% of the reason I get regular pedicures. I can scrape, file, paint and sandpaper my feet into submission on my own time; what I can't do is sit blissfully for 30 minutes on a magnificent throne with 500 different massage settings while someone does all of that for me. Do I have my priorities all wrong? Maybe. Does it matter? You do you, girls. I might go back since they are close by and did a great job on my tootsies otherwise, but in the meantime...the search for the perfect chair continues. read more

This place is very clean, and the technicians are very polite. They offer water or tea, and will refill you. The pedicures are done in black plastic tubs, with a half cover you rest your feet on. I was fine with that as I think those can be sanitized unlike the jetted tubs. It was awkward at times, as a small position change would tip the tub when she was doing my gel pedicure. The pedicure was B+, but the gel manicure was C-. A little splotchy, with a weird texture. Not completely smooth. However I was mostly ok until it came time to pay. I tipped 10% as I felt that's what they earned. She HANDED MY CARD BACK and said 15-20 is their standard. Wtf, a tip is whatever the hell I want it to be. If you want more money raise your price, YOU DO NOT SHAME THE CUSTOMER!!!! I gave it, but will never be back. And l will let all my friends/coworkers/EVERYONE know about this BS. read more
